After the waitress brought them their food, Ai couldn't help a smug grin forming on her lips, making Bakugou sigh knowing well a comment is on its way.

"Do you remember when you made that waitress uncomfortable?"

Her smug grin only grew wider after asking the vexing question, Bakugou could feel his face morph into a scowl and answered back with a growl.

"Are you an idiot, you were the one making her uncomfortable."

"I was?"

She gasps dramatically putting her hands to her mouth while complaining.

"How could you say such thing! I would never do that, on my sibling's deaths!"

He watches her little act of hurt and disbelief, as cocks his head up while the scowl only got worse. Ai's hands went from her mouth to her eyes, wiping away imaginary tears.

"You don't even have fucking siblings..."

By the time he finished his sentence an audible exhalation came out from her mouth, she had brought out her phone completely ignoring his existence. Seeing her lack of interest on him made his jaw clench if stares could melt, he would have made her into ash at the moment. Slamming his fist to the table, Ai flinches, grimacing at his now bulging eyes and red face.

"What?"

Was the only thing that came out from her mouth, straightening her All Might cap and pulling her hair to cover her face.

Being heroes had its perks and downs, one of the perks where the fame. The more fame they got the more publicity they got and more job offers, it has also it's down. For example, their private life, being heroes was a dangerous job not only for the heroes but as well for their close ones. It was up to each hero, for themselves to decide to be more discreet in public, walking with the disguise or cover there faces or not.
Ai was really private with her life, always trying to avoid personal questions from the media or reporters with witty comments or jokes. Truth is having a quirk that can basically heal any kind of injury and be used in combat as well wasn't that normal, she got up high in the ranks because of her quirk. Being a medic hero and at the same time a combat hero wasn't usual, normally the medic hero should be a sidekick, supporting the others in the back of the field, for the safety of the group.

Ai didn't want to danger her friends and family so she kept her profile as low as possible in the eyes of the media, that goes for her love life as well. She didn't have a specially wide love life, she has been in relationships but they were never long term. Her job almost took all her time, having a serious boyfriend didn't really work out with her work hours and training, so it wasn't even an option.

Seeing her actions Bakugou follows her lead pushing his cap to cover his face, as the waitress came back with their meals Bakugou looked at Ai. She is so different outside of work, more aloof and calm. The waitress placed their food in front of them while looking at them with a forced smile knowing exactly who they were and very aware of their last meeting. In hurry the waitress left the two of them to eat in peace, Ai took a sip from her drink as her vision got down to his plate.

"Are you eating spicy noodles again? You know eating to much spice can lead to-"

"Shut up!"

Roared the agitated man, she just pouted when she felt two eyes on them. Her eyes went to the corner of her eyes, trying to get a glance of the gaze she was feeling on them. She saw a couple starting to whisper while looking at the two of them, the woman looked at them suspiciously.

"Hey isn't that Ground zero?"

The woman murmured to the man, he looked up from their table and looked at Bakugou, it didn't last long until his gaze got to her.

"I think so... and I think that's Re:Gen with him."

The woman got excited looking now straight towards her, Bakugou noticed Ai's observant behaviour and was about to turn his head towards whatever she was looking at. She noticed he was about to look, but grabbed his hand on the table and gave it a firm squeeze while placing a hand to cover her face from the couple beside them.

"Don't look to the side."

Ai warned with narrowed eyes, she discreetly tried to look towards the two again.

"Really, I thought she had a similar long blue hair and piercing blue eyes."

She noticed the woman picking up her bag and slowly picking up her phone, Ai squeezed once again his hand making him look at her. She gave him a knowing look, grabbing from her coat money and placing it on the table. Bakugou got his coat starting to head towards the door, Ai followed him closely getting a glimpse of the woman with partially open lips in shock of their sudden movements. As she got to the door she could see Bakugou holding up the door with a scowl on his face, before exiting the shop he glanced back one last time giving them a deathly glare. The couple looked at the man with a terrorized expression on their faces, a smug smirk forming on his face knowing they had got the message finally exiting.

Heading towards their agency Ai sighed, leaving the shop in a hurry they didn't have the time to take their food with them.

"Man I'm hungry."

She growled putting her hands on her stomach with a pout formed on her lips, she looked like a cranky child.

"Fuck you can't even eat in peace anymore, we should go to that okonomiyaki stand."

Ai looked at him surprised he remembered about it, she had brought him to the stand after a long day in the office. It was almost midnight and the only thing that was open was the okonomiyaki stand, it was small but the food tasted really good and it is really cheap. Normally he always ate spicy food.

"I thought you didn't like anything that didn't have spice on-"

Ai got cut off mid-sentence, hearing an alarm go off by the store in front of them. Turning around she could see two villains backing away from the store one with a gun in his hand and the other holding a hostage by his throat. She sees Bakugou already taking off his coat getting ready for a battle, she does the same and take off her coat as well, then grabbing special combat gloves from her bag. The two villains notice them and without a second thought take out a pocket knife to put up against the hostage's throat.

"Try anything stupid and I will fucking kill him!"

He screamed trying to intimidate them, Bakugou looked at Ai for a moment knowing exactly what he was trying to say to her. They only had a couple of seconds if they wanted to save the hostage and caught the villains. Bakugou took the lead shocking them by using his stunning grenade technic against them. Ai runs towards the one holding the hostage, but by the distance, the other villain had recovered a shaky vision back, pointing the gun towards her. She quickly activated her healing quirk feeling the tattoos covering her body like a shell, the villain pulled the trigger. Feeling a hot wave of pain on her upper arm she kept on running towards the hostage without hesitation. With only a couple of steps away from the hostage she kicks away the knife from the villain separating the hostage and him.

The man is safe now, the only thing left to do is taking him to a safe spot. Before she can even make a step she sees in the corner of her eye a fist pushing through the air, aiming for her face. Ai quickly dodged the hit getting a distance from him, the villain got closer to her ready to punch; she followed his movements dodging his second punch. After making him lose his balance she took advantage of it, grabbing his arm she put all her weight to her hip and tossed him over her back making him fall to the ground on his back. The villain couldn't breathe after that hit to the ground, Ai swiftly pushed him on his stomach to the ground with her knee on his back, to hold him down. Pushing his hand against his back, successfully immobilizing him.

Looking towards Bakugou without any surprises she saw him already pinning down the villain against the ground and, of course, threatening him.

"If you move I'll fucking kill you!"

Ai chuckled at his childish behavior, she takes out her phone carefully and dials the police officer's number.

During the ten minutes of waiting for the police to arrive, Ai had gone to the man checking him if he had any injuries.

"Hey, are you okay? Did they injure you?"

She asked the man with a calm tone while examining him. The man shook his head indicating he didn't get injured, making her sigh in relief. He had the man looked at her with a blush starting to spread on his face.

"Hey let me invite you on a coffee, that's the least I can do for you after saving me."

The man insisted shyly, Ai looked at him with her lips pursed together. He was cute but she didn't have the time to date, but it's still free coffee. Bakugou noticed her considering his offer, annoyed by her intentions before she even got the chance to turn him down she felt him yanking her arm towards him.

"We have work to do, you don't have fucking time for dating around!"

Bakugou scolded her, making her shut up and look down. He took a hold of the collar of her suit, started to drag her away. When they got far away from the store, Bakugou let go of her collar and got closer to her.

"Hey, blue dumbass. Are you okay?"

She looked at him with a chuckle, shrugging it off.

"Don't worry sparkles, I will get the bullet out when we get to the office."

Hitting his shoulder playfully, as a thank you for worrying.
