New York

*I don't own Transformers or anything affiliated with Transformers. I only own my original characters and plots. All rights go to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.*

A loud humming noise sounded in my ears. I shot up quickly as I felt myself moving, regretting it as a sharp pain emitted from my rib cage. I looked around at my surroundings to see that I was in the backseat of Bumblebee's alt mode. We were racing down the highway. Dino and Sideswipe were beside us while Skids, Mudflap, Roadbuster, and Topspin were behind us. I looked to the front to see Crosshairs, Drift, Sunstreaker, Jolt, and Hound and several army vehicles in front of them.

"What the hell? Where are we going?" I asked.

"We're going to New York," Gracie said rather startled. "It's started already."

"Wait, how long have I been asleep?" I asked her.

It looked to be about midday outside.

"Approximately twenty four hours. So much has happened while you were asleep. I honestly don't know how you managed to sleep through it," she said, her tone dry.

I took the time to look over her features. She was covered in dirt and dust and had a few small cuts on her face and on her arms.

"What happened, Gracie?"

"Nothing you need to worry about. We're all fine," she assured me.

Then it hit me. It's starting. It's actually starting.

"I can't do this. I'm not ready. I can't do it," I said.

I was perfectly fine up until these events occurred. Almost being slaughtered by an angry robot only two days ago, shook me to the core, but I recovered from it as quickly as it had happened. Now, I was terrified. I hadn't expected this to come so soon and especially while I was asleep. I was scared. .scared that not all of us would make it through this. .scared that I myself wouldn't make it through this.

"You have to be. I'm not ready for this either, but I have to be. Remember back in Hong Kong? Remember the promise? They won't let anything happen to us and I sure as hell know that Bumblebee wouldn't let anyone or any bot lay a finger on you. You have to believe, Rose. We're going to make it out of this. All of us. We're going to be fine, okay? I promise. Just trust me, please," she lectured.

"Let's just hope that you can keep your promise."

I sat back in my seat. We were now in New York. I could tell from all the tall buildings. I didn't know how long we had been here, but I just knew that we were getting closer and closer to a certain doom. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a flash. I turned around to look out the back windshield. My eyes widened as I watched three missiles racing towards us. Bee swerved in the road, one of the missiles barely missing us. The missiles hit the ground, one after another, sending a cloud of dirt and pavement into the air.

"Bee, you gotta go faster. They're shooting at us!" I exclaimed as I watched two bots on top of a building shoot four more missiles at us.

I squealed as one of them landed directly behind Bee. The ground trembled, causing me to shift in my seat.

Cars were being caught in the crossfire. Several were flipping through the air as the deadly rockets hit the ground by them and some were even being hit spot on. The Autobots and Will's team raced down the highway, trying to avoid the robots.

"This is ridiculous!" Gracie yelled.

I just continued looking out the back windshield. The shots were still being fired but we evaded them as best as we could.

"Oh my gosh," I heard Gracie whisper.

I turned around in my seat to look at her, only for my brown eyes to catch sight of the ruined city in front of me.

People lay dead and even charred on the side of the road; family members and friends stood and mourned over top of them, while others ran desperately along the streets looking for some sort of shelter from the chaos going on around them. Cars and trucks and many other vehicles were overturned on the side of the road, some covered in soot and others engulfed in flames. Buildings were in ruins. Many were ready to collapse from the damage and some already had. Loud explosions and ear piercing screams rattled my eardrums.

I had seen pictures of the Battle of Chicago aftermath and had witnessed the Hong Kong battle myself, but this was far worse than either of those put together. Or at least I thought so anyway. I wanted to sit and cry just from watching the mourning family members and the small children running helplessly down the street, crying out for help.

More explosions sounded and Bee swerved again, pulling into a ruined warehouse along with the others. The door to the passenger's side opened and Gracie hopped out. I carefully climbed over the seat and got out as well. Bee quickly transformed and stood up, as did the others.

"What do we do now? The city is crawling with those stupid robots," Joshua said.

"You're the one that created them. Just keep that in mind when we're through here," Jason said and Joshua glared.

"Look, this is no time for arguing. We've gotta find Galvatron, and we've gotta find him fast before this gets out of hand," Will explained.

"It's already out of hand! This is worse than Chicago and Hong Kong together. I can't do this. I'm sorry, but I can't," I exclaimed.

Another explosion sounded, sending debris falling to the floor. I covered my head for protection. Will grabbed me by the shoulders and looked me in the eye.

"Listen to me. You're a soldier now, okay? You can do this. I believe in you. You have to get through this, just like you got through Hong Kong. Do you understand me, Rosalie?" he asked.

I just nodded my head at him. He released me and turned to the others.

"Okay, you six and I are going to go with Hound, Bumblebee, Crosshairs, Drift, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. The rest of you are to head out with Roadbuster, Topspin, Dino, Mudflap, and Skids. Find Galvatron as fast as you can and report back," Lennox explained.

They followed his instructions and left the building heading to the opposite side of the city.

"Let's roll out."

We ran out of the warehouse and down the street. The enemy bots were beginning to head in strong. Shots were fired at us as we ran down the street and I tried covering myself as best as I could so I wouldn't get hit.

"Where the hell is Optimus Prime when you need him?" I heard Crosshairs shout as he took down three of the enemy bots.

I couldn't say I didn't agree with him.

My dad grabbed my hand and pulled me behind a corner.

"Bumblebee, cover fire!" Sunstreaker yelled, shooting down four more of them.

Bumblebee took off running down the street, his cannon cocked up in the air, shooting at the enemy bots as they shot at him. He ducked and rolled, dodging the bullets. He raised up both his arms and fired four cannons at two of the bots on the roof of a nearby building.

"Come here you little cunt," I heard Hound say.

I turned just in time to see him blow the head off of one of them. Thank God Crosshairs had given him his weapons back or we'd be screwed.

"Joseph, come on! Help me out here!" Lennox called from the side of the road.

He was dodging bullets all while trying to shoot the enemy bots down. My dad removed himself from beside me and began jogging towards where Lennox was. I hadn't noticed he had his alien gun from Hong Kong until just now, but there were more important things going on at the moment.

"Dad, be careful," I called to him.

He gave me a nod before running over to help Lennox.

Suddenly, a massive array of bullets were being shot towards us. Explosions caused the ground beneath me to tremble and I stumbled a little bit, hanging onto the side of the building for balance. I screamed as a shot hit the ground beside me.

"Move! We gotta move!" Lennox yelled as he started running down the street.

Jason grabbed mine and Gracie's hand while Joshua grabbed Lynleigh's and we ran down the ruined street, trying to shield ourselves from the gunfire.

"In here!" Jason yelled, leading us into a medium sized glass building.

Oh wow.

"Really? Again? Do you not know what happened last time we hid in one of these damn things? We were almost eaten! That's what happened!" Joshua exclaimed.

I raised my eyebrow at him. He was exaggerating just a tad bit. He was far too much to handle during this kind of thing. I heard another explosion and instinctively covered my head from the falling debris. I hid behind one of the many pillars supporting the building and looked out the window.

My dad and Will were some distance away but I could still make out their figures. Lennox was tossing grenades onto the battlefield while my dad was trying to dodge the alien bullets. He ducked and rolled before aiming his gun and firing at two of the enemy bots. He took them down with ease and tossed three live grenades onto the field. The sound of the blasts rattled my eardrums, but the four bots had fallen.

Outside of the building, the six Autobots fought more of the enemy bots, taking them down with ease. Hound brutally ripped one of them in half while shooting two more down. He took the bottom half of the robot's torso he had just ripped apart and swung it on a bright red bot. Sideswipe was twisting and rolling around in the street, using his large sword to slice through the mechs. Bumblebee was on the opposite side of him fighting with three of the mechs. I watched as he shoved his cannon through one of the bot's armor. He shot it, the head of the robot flying off while he took and swung the metal body at the other two before shooting them down.

Crosshairs was on the roof of the building across the street. He was shooting at more enemy bots, stumbling backward when one fired at him and hit him. He quickly recovered though and launched a missile at the bot that had shot at him, the blast from the missile killing the mech. Sunstreaker hung upside down from Drift's helicopter alt mode. He was speeding through the air and Sunstreaker shot at multiple enemy robots, killing them instantly.

"This is crazy," Gracie whispered.

I nodded and continued to watch the action before me. An explosion behind me caught my attention. I heard several screams and saw smoke filling the room. What caught my attention next was the large robot that came walking out of the smoke.

"Guys, over here," Jason whispered, motioning us over to a large desk.

Gracie and I ran over quickly and hid behind the desk with the rest of them. I crouched down and squeezed myself as far as I could inside the desk.

The sound of the mech's footsteps were getting closer and closer. I could feel myself trembling in fear, but tried my hardest to contain it so not to be sensed by it. I heard him cock his gun before shooting it. A scream echoed through the building and I covered my mouth to keep quiet. He fired his gun again, busting the windows, on our side of the building. I let out a small squeal before burying my head behind Jason to protect myself from the glass.

Suddenly, the desk was whisked away and our whereabouts were revealed. I widened my eyes as I stared at the black mech. Smoke was still filling up the room and several bodies lay on the ground. I felt someone grab my hand and I was yanked off of the floor.

"Run, Rose! You gotta run!" Jason yelled as he pulled on my hand.

I tightly held onto his hand and ran behind him, the rest following shortly after us. The robot let out a roar and fired his gun. I covered my head as the shot hit the wall beside me. Debris and rubble flew everywhere as the mech continued shooting at us, barely missing.

We came to a hole in the wall and quickly made our way out of it and back onto the streets of the ruined city where majority of the Autobots were too engaged in their fighting to notice the large mech that was pursuing us. I panicked and ran faster, my two broken ribs protesting angrily. Thankfully, Sideswipe came racing down the street, his sword high in his hand.

"Clear a path," he called.

We quickly shuffled out of the way and behind a building pillar. Sideswipe quickly advanced on the black bot. He sliced the gun clean from his hand before twirling around and jumping up in the air to kick him in the face. He grabbed the bot's arm and bent it in an unnatural angle. The mech let out a pained cry. Sideswipe shifted behind him and dug his sword deep into his chest, jerking it upwards and slicing him in half, much the same way Optimus had done when he killed Lockdown, only a lot more smoother. Sideswipe tossed the dead robot to the side before retracting his sword.

"Damn, I'm good," he said cockily.

I would've laughed had I not been so terrified.

Familiar voices caught my attention and I turned to see Will and my dad jogging down the street, the Autobots behind them surveying the area. I ran out from my spot behind the pillar and up to my dad. I hugged him in relief and released him.

"We've gotta get to the others. They've spotted Galvatron by the Empire State Building. We need the element of surprise, although I'm sure that he already knows we're here. By the looks of it, I'd say we only just destroyed about two percent of his army," Will breathed out.

Just great.

"Bumblebee, Hound and myself will scout ahead to cover. Move quickly. We are running out of time," Drift said to us before transforming into his alt mode.

Bumblebee and Hound followed his lead and they raced down the street.

"Come on, we need to get going," my dad said.

We took off down the street, still watching out for any of the enemy bots. The ground trembled and an explosions sounded behind us. It didn't take me long to realize that more of them had shown up and were now shooting at us again.

"Crosshairs, twelve o'clock!" Sunstreaker yelled.

I heard gunfire and bullets clattering against a metal armor along with several roars and shrieks. The ground trembled again and another blast echoed through the air, causing me to slightly lose my balance. I stumbled in the rubble, but Will quickly grabbed my arm, and pulled me up before running down the street with me behind him. He lead us around several street corners and in the distance, I could see more of the enemy bots and the rest of the Autobots, along with Hound, Drift, and Bumblebee.

"Let's go! They're up ahead!" my dad yelled as he ran faster down the abandoned streets of what used to be New York City.

We ran faster until we finally made it to the street corner. I'm guessing that they noticed us coming, because more and more shots were being fired. The building next to us was hit, causing bricks and glass to explode everywhere which caused a scream to escape my mouth. Will shifted me to his left side to shield me from the building's scrap.

"Come on! Hustle, hustle, hustle! I don't wanna die like this!" Uncle Josh exclaimed.

I just rolled my eyes at him.

We ran until we came to some sort of telephone booth type thing. I situated myself inside with the rest of my family and watched as the battle proceeded. There were so many of the enemy bots closing in inside the city. How much Transformium did he get ahold of? This was more than I had seen back in Hong Kong.

Out of the corner of my eye, I caught a movement on top of a building. Turning my head, I recognized it to be the Empire State Building. The movement had been Galvatron, who at the moment was perched on top of the building, just watching the battle go down. He had a smug look on his face from what I could see.

"Brothers, begin your assault!" he yelled out, much to my horror.

This was far from being over.
