Pushing a basket full of bread, milk, eggs, and other junk was not the best thing in the world. I absolutely despised grocery shopping because I never knew what to buy. Sadly, I was the only one in my family who even bothered to go grocery shopping. That's probably the only thing that hasn't changed in the past four years. After I finished putting the last of the frozen dinners into the basket, I made my way to check out.

"Hey Avery. Do you want something to drink?" I asked, only to receive no response.

I stopped placing the items on the belt and looked to see that Avery was no longer beside me. Quickly, I finished putting the rest of the groceries onto the belt and paid for them before running out to the car.

This was one of the reasons I never took that child to the store with me. She would always run off and it scared the hell out of me. Thankfully, though, she always ran back out to the car, so looking there was always my first option.

I sighed in relief when I approached the car and saw Avery leaning against it, but she wasn't alone. A man and a woman who looked to be in their late twenties or early thirties were standing beside her.

The woman was fairly tall and was dressed in a pair of grey jeans, a dressy white top, along with a white blazer and a pair of white pumps. Her dirty blonde hair fell in waves down her back and her light skin practically glowed in the sunlight.

The man was tall, but he was much shorter than the woman who was in heels. He was wearing a black v-neck t-shirt with blue jeans and black boots. His light brown hair was tousled on top of his head and the scruff on his face made him look about three years older than I figured he was.

I brought the basket to a halt and ran over to engulf Avery in a hug. She hugged me back and giggled. I released her and gave her a chastising look, which caused her to frown.

"What have I told you about running off like that?" I scolded her.

"I'm sorry, Ro. I got lost trying to find you," she told me.

"I'm not going to say that it's okay because it's not. Next time you're going to have to stay with me or I'll have to stop bringing you," I explained to her.

"I'm sorry, Ro," she said sadly.

I hugged her small frame again.

"Just don't run off again, okay?"

She nodded and I looked up at the two adults who were standing in front of me. I stood up and smiled at them before looking down at Avery who was now hugging my leg.

"Who are your friends, Avery?" I asked her.

She just giggled which caused the woman to laugh. She stepped forward and held out her hand which I politely shook.

"I'm Carly," she greeted me.

I was slightly taken back by her british accent, but I quickly recovered and introduced myself.

"I'm Rosalie. It's very nice to meet you."

The man stepped forward, extending his hand out as well. I shook it.

"My name is Sam. It's nice to meet you, Rosalie," he said in a regular American accent.

I smiled at them and patted Avery on the head.

"Where'd you find them at?" I asked her.

She looked up at me.

"The store. They brought me out to Baybay," she told me.

Silently, I prayed that she knew not to talk about or tell people about Bumblebee and the rest of the Autobots.

Carly giggled at Avery's nickname for him though.

"Yeah. She was walking around in the toy aisle yelling for Ro, who I assume is you," she told me.

"And then we brought her outside and told her to show us where your car was. Now, we're here," Sam laughed.

"Well thank you so much for watching her. She does it all the time and even though I've gotten used to it, it still scares the hell out of me," I explained.

"We completely understand. It was no problem at all. She's a very sweet little girl," Carly gushed.

Avery giggled.

"Is she your daughter? I only ask because you two look nothing alike," Sam said.

"She might as well be. But, no. She isn't. You could say that I adopted her when I went to Australia a few years ago."

"That's so sweet," Carly told me.

I smiled at her.

"Thank you," I replied.

Sam made a move towards the basket full of groceries and looked at me.

"Do you need help putting this stuff in the trunk?" he asked.

"Um. .yeah. Sure. Thank you," I responded and went over to open the trunk.

It took us about two minutes to finish putting all of the groceries in Bumblebee's trunk. Avery was in the car before I even had the chance to shut the trunk, but I decided to stay and talk to Sam and Carly a little bit longer.

"You have a really nice car, Rosalie. I had one just like it in high school and college. Older model, of course, but it's still the same," Sam said.

An emotion that I couldn't read flashed across his face. I ignored it though and patted the top of the trunk.

"Really? Camaros are really good cars. Or at least mine is. What happened to yours?" I asked him.

"Yeah. And mine was the best car I've ever had. But, in 2012, I had to get rid of it," he told me.

"I'm sorry that you had to get rid of it. But, hey. .you could always drive mine," I joked.

Sam laughed.

"Or we could just trade. I've got a Mercedes SLS AMG now. You can have that," he told me.

Carly swatted his shoulder and I laughed.

"As tempting as that sounds, I don't think I could ever get rid of this car. It's far too important to me."

"That's exactly the same way I felt about mine, but all good things must come to an end sooner or later," he responded.

I sighed.

"I couldn't agree with you more."

"Well, we should get going. We have to pick up our daughter from her grandparents' house before Sam's mom has another meltdown," Carly laughed.

"Oh. You have a daughter? What's her name?" I asked her.

"Her name is Delaney. She's five," she answered with a smile on her face.

"I love that name, but I'll let you guys go," I told them.

"Thank you so much. We hope to see you soon. It was very nice meeting you," she said.

I smiled at them.

"Likewise."

They turned around to walk away, but a thought instantly crossed my mind.

"Wait," I called.

They turned around and looked at me.

"Yes?" Sam chuckled.

"Would you guys maybe want to come over for dinner tonight at around six? I'm making shrimp alfredo," I said sweetly.

"Oh. I could go for some shrimp," Carly said.

Sam smiled at her.

"Okay. We'll come. That sounds nice actually," he said.

"Well, if you give me your number I can text you my address."

Carly took out a pen and a small piece of paper before jotting down a line of numbers. She handed it to me and I quickly put the number in my phone and sent her the address. I could hear her phone beep in her purse.

"Done. I'll see you three tonight," I stated.

"Sounds good."

"Goodbye, Rosalie," Carly said.

I waved to them before getting in the driver's seat of Bee's alt mode. As soon as I shut the door, Bee pulled out of the parking lot.

The ride back home was silent. Something in the air had been off and I noticed it was Bumblebee. I could sense that there was something wrong with him, but I just couldn't put my finger on it.

As soon as Bee pulled into the driveway, I hopped out. After pulling a sleeping Avery out of the backseat, I took her into the house and ran upstairs to my room. I laid her down on my bed and ran back down the stairs. Gracie and Lynleigh were sitting in the family room.

"You two. Come help me with these groceries, please."

They got up off of the couch and followed me out the front door. All of the Autobots, except for Bee, were all in their usual spots by the security fence. Sometimes I wondered why they didn't want to say at KSI. .

I walked over to Bee's trunk and took out six bags.

"Good gosh. What did you get?" Lynleigh asked.

"All kinds of shit," I told her.

I walked back into the house and through the kitchen doors. I placed the bags on the table and headed back outside. Gracie and Lynleigh were carrying handfuls of bags toward the house and I assumed they had finished getting the rest of them because Bee was now transformed, crouching down in the driveway.

"Thanks for the help. It'd mean a lot if you could put those away for me too," I said to my sister and my best friend.

Lynleigh rolled her eyes.

"Sure thing, Rose."

They continued walking back to the house but I stopped them.

"I met some people at Wal-Mart today and they're coming over for dinner tonight. Be ready," I told them.

Gracie groaned.

"Whatever."

The two of them walked into the house and I walked over to Bee who was giving me a stern look.

"What's wrong with you? You were oddly peppy earlier but now you're just a yellow pile of blah. What's up? And don't you dare deny it," I stated.

He rolled his optics at me and shook his head. I just groaned and walked over to the Autobots sitting in the courtyard.

"If you find out what's wrong with him, feel free to give me a call," I told them.

Hound chuckled and gave me a thumbs up.

"Aye aye captain."

I smiled at him and looked at all three of them.

"People are coming over tonight so I suggest you take your alternate forms," I suggested.

"We know. We heard your loud mouth tell the other two," Crosshairs teased.

I smiled at him and walked back into the house. Gracie and Lynleigh were in the kitchen putting up the remainder of the groceries.

I walked to the freezer and took out the two packs of shrimp alfredo I had bought earlier. Walking over to the cupboard, I took out a large skillet and set it on the stove. After turning the stove top on, I poured the packs into the skillet.

"You really think that's going to impress them?" Gracie laughed.

"It's not supposed to. I don't feel like cooking tonight, so shut up."

I stirred the frozen food around.

"Just remember to take the shrimp out of mine and Avery's. You know how we are," Lynleigh remarked.

I sighed.

"I'm very well aware."

"Where's Avery at anyway?" she asked.

"Upstairs sleeping," I answered.

She nodded.

"So, when is your dad supposed to come home from work?" Gracie asked.

I sat down across from her at the table.

"He's working over tonight so he should be home at around nine or so."

"When are your friends coming?" she asked.

"At about six."

"It's like five twenty right now."

I got up and went back to the stove to stir the food. It had about twenty more minutes left.

"I know that."

I heard a knock on the front door and stopped setting the table to answer it. Quickly, I walked out of the kitchen and to the door. I opened it to reveal Carly, Sam, and I assume their daughter Delaney. She was absolutely precious. She looked like her mother in the face but she had all of her dad's other features.

I gestured for them to come in, and they did so.

"You're home is absolutely incredible, Rosalie!" Carly exclaimed.

"And that's a lovely set of vehicles you got out there as well," Sam told me.

I smiled.

Little did they know I had about three more where that came from though they weren't Autobots.

"Well, thank you so much."

"You're welcome. This is Delaney," Carly introduced me.

"Hi, Delaney," I greeted her.

She giggled and hid behind her mom's leg.

"Avery is in the family room. You can take her in there if you'd like. Their plates are also in there too," I told Carly.

She said okay and then lead Delaney into the family room. Moments later, she stepped back into the hallway.

"Our plates are in the kitchen," I told them and walked through the kitchen doors.

"Wow. Your house is beautiful," Carly gushed again.

I chuckled and sat down at the table where Lynleigh and Gracie were already seated.

"Thank you. Gracie, Lynleigh. This is Sam and Carly," I told them.

"It's nice to meet you," Gracie and Lynleigh told them in unison.

The pair laughed.

"It's very lovely to meet you two as well," Carly said.

They both sat down and started eating.

"This is amazing," Sam said.

"It should be. You'd probably be sick already if Rose had actually cooked it," Gracie said, causing Lynleigh to snicker.

I glared at her.

"Bite me."

She laughed and took another bite of her pasta.

"You didn't cook this?" Sam chuckled.

"Well, you see. There comes a time in a woman's life where she just becomes far too tired to even do anything anymore. You know, like cooking, cleaning, driving, functioning and all that good stuff. My time has come," I explained.

Sam laughed and Carly giggled.

"Trust me. I know. Try living with this one," Sam stated.

"Hey. I am not that bad," Carly retorted.

I laughed.

"It's not a good thing," Sam told us.

"Well, you're the guy. You're supposed to do everything anyways," Lynleigh stated.

"I second that," Gracie said.

I chuckled and took a bite of my pasta. The sound of my phone ringing caught my attention. I laid my fork down and looked at the caller ID. It read: Crosshairs. He must've finally figured out what was wrong with Bee, but I didn't understand why he couldn't wait until after they left to call me.

"Who is it?" Gracie asked.

I took another bite of food.

"Crosh," I told her, using Avery's nickname for him as a disguise.

She nodded and continued eating.

"I'm so sorry. I have to take this," I told them.

Carly smiled at me.

"It's fine."

I took yet another bite of my food before getting up to stand by the stove.

"Hello?" I answered with a mouth full of food.

"Sorry to ruin your little food fest, but I've figured out why Bumblebee is acting so strange," he said.

"Why?"

"That boy in there. ."

I scrunched my eyebrows up and looked over to Sam who was having a conversation with my sister.

"What about him?" I asked.

"That's Sam Witwicky."

That name. .I had heard it only once before during a story Drift was telling me about Bumblebee's last human companion.

My eyes widened ever so slightly and I literally choked on the pasta in my mouth, causing the four at the table to look at me. Gracie and Carly got up and came over to me, patting my back to get me to calm down. Once I was calmed down, I thanked them and got back onto the phone with Crosshairs. Carly and Gracie still stood by me.

"No way."

"Yes way," he replied.

"Are you sure it's him?" I asked.

"I'm one hundred percent positive," he answered.

"Okay thanks," I said and hung up the phone.

I laid it down on the counter top and looked at Carly and Gracie.

"Is everything okay?" Sam asked.

He was now standing beside his chair, contemplating whether or not he should walk over.

"Not exactly. I'll be right back," I told them.

I quickly walked passed the four of them and out of the kitchen. I walked by the family room where Avery and Delaney were eating and watching TV and out the front door. The Autobots were all parked beside each other in the driveway.

"I thought you said he didn't care anymore," I called to Drift.

It didn't take long for Drift and Bumblebee to transform.

"I guess I was wrong. He seems to care a lot more than he let on," he told me.

Bumblebee whirred and I rolled my eyes.

"It's such a small world," I stated.

"That statement couldn't be more true," Drift said.

"Why didn't you tell me it was him instead of being a jerk? Do you not realize that I almost died when Crosshairs told me that?" I exclaimed.

Crosshairs transformed quickly and looked at me.

"In my defense, you shouldn't have been talking with your mouth full in the first place, so that's all on you, young lady," he said.

"Anyway-"

I was cut off by the front door opening. I shot my head around and my eyes widened when I saw Carly, Sam, Gracie and Lynleigh walking out. Carly and Sam came to a halt when they saw the three Cybertronians standing in front of me.

"My goodness," Carly spoke.

Sam just stared in utter shock. I scratched the back of my head, not knowing what to say to either of them.

"Great. Our cover is blown," Gracie said.

I gave her a dirty look and Lynleigh snickered.

"Well, this is awkward," I heard Hound say.

I hadn't even heard nor seen him transform.

"Way to state the obvious, genius," Crosshairs said.

I shushed them and looked at Sam who was staring at Bumblebee. I decided to break the tension.

"So. .I see you've met before," I stated.

Sam gave me a look.

"Uh. .a few years ago, give or take."

Bee let out a whir and I sighed. This was going to be a long night. .
