It's A Date

*I don't own Transformers or anything affiliated with Transformers. I only own my original characters and plots. All rights go to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.*

Picking out something to wear was absolutely awful. I never had much trouble with it until today. Clothes were sprawled out all over my bed and some were even in the floor and on the dresser. Looking over the pile of fabric one last time, I groaned and plopped down onto my couch. A knock on my bedroom door could be heard and I yelled for them to come in. Carly walked into my bedroom and stared at the mess in front of her.

"I got your message. What's wrong?" she asked as she carefully stepped over the pile in the floor.

I got up off of the couch and walked over to her.

"I'm in a predicament. I have an event tonight and I don't know what to wear. Help me," I told her.

"An event? What are you talking about?"

"A guy I met at the club the other night asked me out," I answered her.

She squealed and I covered my ears.

"Oh my gosh. A date?"

"I guess so."

"Do Lynleigh and Gracie know?" she asked me.

I rolled my eyes.

When I told them about tonight, they went crazy and headed off to the store to buy all kinds of make up and jewelry for me. It was very unecessary but they claimed that since I hadn't been on a proper date in seven years, major work needed to be done.

"Yes they do. They're in the bathroom setting up a grooming station as we speak."

"Oh my gosh. I'm so happy for you," she squealed.

Carly and I had only known each other for a matter of a week and she was already my best friend, aside from Gracie and Bumblebee of course. She was with me for four days while Bee and Sam were out doing whatever the hell they were doing. We had come to know a lot about each other in that short period of time.

I smiled at her.

"Thanks, lovely."

"What time do you need to be there?" she asked me.

"Seven."

She looked at the watch on her wrist and gasped.

"It's five thirty. You go get your make up ready and I'll pick out an outfit for you. Trust me. Go," she told me and pushed me towards the bathroom.

I laughed at her and walked in the bathroom where Lynleigh and Gracie were waiting for me. Lynleigh saw me and hopped up. She grabbed my hand and shoved me down onto the stool. They turned me around and looked at me.

"This should be fun," Gracie said as she picked up a tube of mascara.

Fifty four minutes later and I was ready to go. Gracie and Lynleigh had managed to do my make up perfectly. I barely even recognized myself when I looked in the mirror. Carly, being the excellent fashionista she is, managed to find me the perfect outfit to wear as well. It wasn't too dressy nor was it too casual.

I was wearing a tight white lace skirt along with a long sleeve black chiffon shirt with white printings on it. My shoes were simple black pumps and my long, dark hair fell in waves down my back. I grabbed my glasses and my clutch and headed downstairs.

The loud voice of my brother could be heard echoing throughout the house, and I simply rolled my eyes. I walked into the family room where Carly, Gracie, Lynleigh, Delaney and Avery were. Avery saw me and jumped off the couch. She ran over to me and I crouched down to give her small body a hug.

"Ro. You look so pretty," she cooed.

"Thank you, Avery," I told her.

She giggled and ran back over to sit beside Delaney. I stood back up and approached the girls.

"You look so pretty, Rosalie," Carly gushed.

I smiled at her.

"Thanks to you three."

"We're the best," Gracie said.

I laughed.

"Precisely."

The front door opened and I turned around to see my dad walking into the family room. He placed his bag down beside the recliner and sat down before looking at all of us. He studied my outfit and gave me a weird look.

"Why are you so dressed up? Going to get hammered again?" he teased.

I scoffed.

"Very funny. But no. I'm going to hang out with a friend."

"Does this friend happen to be a male?" he asked.

"Yes," Lynleigh answered before I could even open my mouth.

My dad groaned.

"Don't come home pregnant because if you do, I'm disowning you. Avery is enough as it is," he stated.

"Hey. I'm supposed to be your favorite, Pappal," she whined.

I snickered.

"You are. .sometimes," he replied.

Avery huffed and jumped off the couch. She ran out of the family room and up the steps, dragging Delaney with her.

"Anyways. Have fun tonight," my dad said.

"I'll try, father."

I walked out into the hallway, the girls following closely behind me. I was about to turn around and face them when Jason walked passed me, looking at me with the strangest look on his face.

"Have fun on your date, sister dear."

After saying that, he disappeared up the stairs. He had been acting very strange lately and I didn't know why and honestly I don't think I cared.

I shook my head and turned to the girls. Carly smiled at me.

"I have a surprise for you. Since Sam won't be here until late and so the Autobots don't have to wait on you while you're out, I thought I'd let you take my car," she told me.

She reached into her purse and grabbed her cars keys. She handed them to me and I gaped at her.

"Thank you so much!" I exclaimed.

"Just please don't wreck it. It costs a fortune," she told me.

I chuckled.

"I promise that I won't," I assured her.

I turned to walk out the door, only to receive a few comments from Lynleigh and Gracie.

"Remember to use protection!"

"And if it doesn't work out, tell him to call me."

I rolled my eyes at them and continued walking to Carly's car which sat in the middle of the driveway in front of the Autobots who were now resting in their alt modes.

I walked over to the car and got in. I placed the key into the ignition and listened as the engine roared to life. After putting the car in gear, I backed out of the driveway and headed downtown to the Emporium.

After about five minutes of driving, I made it to the bar. I parked out front and got out. The door dinged as I walked in, causing several people to look at me, most of them men. I just ignored them and sat down at the bar. Around me, people were playing arcade games and singing karaoke while others ate and drank their hearts away. With no sign of Brayden anywhere, I turned back around and waited for him to show up. It was only about six fifty, so I was actually early.

Another few minutes passed and the door to the bar chimed again. I looked to see Brayden walking in, nearly choking over how gorgeous he looked. He was wearing a fitted grey v-neck shirt with a black leather jacket over top. His dirty blonde hair was the same way it had been when I saw him yesterday and his blue eyes seemed to be getting brighter and brighter every time I looked at them.

He looked around the building for a few moments before his eyes finally landed on me, a smile stretching across his face. He quickly walked over and sat down on the stool beside me.

"You look absolutely ravishing tonight," he gushed.

"Thank you. I actually feel quite over dressed compared to you," I chuckled.

"I think you look perfect."

I blushed.

"Thank you."

He smiled at me.

"Would you like a drink?" he asked me.

"Uh, sure."

He gestured the waiter over to take our order. I ordered a coke and moved to get my wallet out of my clutch only for Brayden to stop me. He took a ten dollar bill out of his wallet and handed it to the man. I gave him a look.

"You didn't have to do that. I could've paid for it," I told him.

He just smirked.

"The girl isn't supposed to pay for anything on a date."

"Oh. So, this is a date?"

I smiled at him and he nodded.

"If you want it to be."

"I don't mind," I told him.

"Well that's good."

The waiter returned with my coke and sat it down in front of me. I took a sip of it and looked back to Brayden.

"So, cutie. What do you want to do?" he asked me.

I looked around the building at all of the games and such. I smiled when I saw the racing games.

Time to be a kid again, I thought.

I hopped off of my stool and nodded over towards the arcade. He looked over my shoulder and then gave me a look.

"Really? How old are you again?" he teased.

"Right now I'd say I was about fifteen. Let me live. I don't get out much."

He snickered.

"That's obvious."

I swatted his chest.

"Hush."

He threw his hands up in a defensive notion.

"I'm just stating the facts," he countered.

I just shook my head and grabbed his wrist. He laughed as I practically dragged him over to the arcade games. I sat down in one of the seats for the racing games and he sat down in the one beside me.

"Want to race?" he smirked.

"We could. But, it won't be much of a race when I beat you. I'm pretty good at this stuff," I told him.

"And I'll have you know that I happen to be an incredibly fantastic driver," he inquired.

I scoffed.

"Driving in the real world is way different than console driving."

He smirked again.

"How about we find out?"

"Let's."

"So, care to tell me how different console driving is to real world driving?" Brayden teased.

I pouted. We had been playing the racing games for the past hour and he had beaten me every single time. He's been gloating for the past two minutes much to my despair.

"Shush."

"I thought you said you were good?" he baited.

I scoffed.

"I am. You're just a tad bit better than I am," I answered.

"Obviously," he chuckled.

"Let's just go back out front," I suggested.

He smiled and took my hand before heading out towards the bar and the stage area. The loud sound of a woman's voice startled me. On stage a young woman was finishing the last note of a song. I guess it was karaoke time.

Brayden and I walked over and stood in front of the main stage. The woman who was previously singing stepped off the stage and headed over to the bar while a young man stepped on. His voice echoed throughout the building.

"Alright everyone! It's time for spotlight karaoke," he said rather enthusiastically.

After a few seconds a bright light began circling the room. I watched as it briefly paused on several people but continued its revolution. Three more bodies were illuminated from the light and I was getting quite bored just waiting on someone to be pick, causing me to groan quietly.

Suddenly, there was a bright light in my eyes. I waited a few seconds for it to retreat but it didn't. Shocked, I looked up to see several people staring at me while others were cheering. I shook my head and backed up slightly only to be stopped by Brayden. I glared at him but he only smirked which irritated me. Everyone continued cheering and yelling for me to get up on the stage but after I refused, Brayden took matters into his own hands. He lifted me up onto the stage and instead of bothering to fight with him, I stayed up there.

My eyes widened as I stared at the mass of people in front of me. I absolutely hated being in front of crowds, let alone sing in front of them. The last time I had ever actually sang was at my school's homecoming assembly during my junior year. I had no recollection on whether or not I was good.

After a few seconds, I managed to calm myself down and actually speak to the audience. One three minute song wouldn't do any harm so I might as well just do it. The only person in here that even knew me was Brayden, so I was okay with that.

"So, uh. .what should I sing?" I asked the crowd.

One guy in the audience spoke up.

"Are you familiar with Beyonce?" he asked.

I gave him a dumb look and the crowd laughed.

"Duh."

"Well, what about singing Halo?" he asked.

"That song is like ten years old," I laughed.

"But it's still one hell of a song," a random guy from the audience yelled.

I laughed again.

"Okay fine. I'll sing Halo for you. Just bear with me, please. I haven't really sang since I was in high school."

The crowd cheered and I gave the DJ a nod to let him know that I was ready. I took a deep breath when the music started and focused on trying to remember the lyrics to the song.

"Remember those walls I built? Well baby they're tumblin' down. And they didn't even put up a fight, they didn't even make sound," I sang.

The crowd got insanely louder and I looked to Brayden to see a huge smile plastered onto his face. I returned it and continued the song.

"I found a way to let you in, but I never really had a doubt. Standing in the light of your halo, I got my angel now.

"It's like I've been awakened, every rule I had you breakin'. It's the risk that I'm takin', I ain't never gonna shut you out."

This is the first time in years that I have sang and it felt so amazing. The crowd continued to get louder, even though I didn't really think that was quite possible.

"Everywhere I'm looking now, I'm surrounded by your embrace. Baby I can see your halo, you know you're my saving grace. You're everything I need and more, it's written all over your face. Baby I can feel your halo, pray it won't fade away.

"I can feel your halo. .halo. I can see your halo. .halo. I can feel your halo. .halo. I can see your halo. .halo. Woah..

"Hit me like a ray of sun, burning through my darkest night. You're the only one that I want, think I'm addicted to your light. I swore I'd never fall again, but this don't even feel like falling. Gravity can't forget to pull me to the ground again."

I was enjoying this far more than I should be. I was still nervous, but the only thing that was really keeping my nerves calm was the way that Brayden was smiling at me through the song. It almost felt like I was singing the song to him and I didn't want to stop.

"Feels like I've been awakened, every rule I had you breakin'. The risk that I'm takin', I'm never gonna shut you out.

"Everywhere I'm looking now I'm surrounded by your embrace. Baby I can see your halo, you know you're my saving grace. You're everything I need and more, it's written all over your face. Baby I can feel your halo, pray it won't fade away.

"I can feel your halo. .halo. I can see your halo. .halo. I can feel your halo. .halo. I can see your halo. .halo. I can feel your halo. .halo. I can see your halo. .Halooooo ouuuu. . .Halooooo ouuuu. . .Halooooo ouuuu. . .Ouuuuu ouuuuu ouuuuu. . ."

After my little high note session, the crowd went wild. I had no clue why. I honestly didn't think I was that good, but apparently to this group of people I was all that plus more. But, right now I wasn't really focusing on the people. I was more focused on a certain blonde-haired and blue-eyed boy. The smile never left my face as I continued singing the rest of the song.

"Everywhere I'm looking now, I'm surrounded by your embrace. Baby I can see your halo, you know you're my saving grace. You're everything I need and more, it's written all over your face. Baby I can feel your halo, pray it won't fade away.

"I can feel your halo. .halo. I can see your halo. .halo. I can feel your halo. .halo. I can see your halo. .halo. I can feel your halo. .halo. I can see your halo. .Halooooo ouuuu. . .Halooooo ouuuu. . .Halooooo ouuuu. . .Ouuuuu ouuuuu ouuuuu. . ."

I took a deep breath after I finished the final note. When I stopped, the crowd went wild once again and I smiled at them to show them my gratitude. I turned back to Brayden who was now holding out his hand for me in front of the stage. I gladly took it and he gently pulled me off of the stage and engulfed me in a hug. A small giggle escaped my lips and he released me but still grasped the sides of my upper arms.

"You were absolutely amazing, Rose," he exclaimed with a huge smile on his face.

I laughed.

"Why thank you. I was so nervous though. I haven't sang in front of anyone since I was sixteen," I told him.

He threw his arm around my shoulder and looked down at me.

"Well I thought you were fantastic."

"Thank you, Brayden. It actually means a lot," I replied happily.

Brayden checked his watch and then looked at me. I gave him a questioning look but let him speak.

"It's already eleven twenty four," he stated.

"Seriously?" I asked.

He nodded.

"You know, I don't even know why I'm worried about the time considering I'm twenty two years old but then again having a kid can effect that."

"Oh. You have a kid?" he asked.

He didn't seemed phased by this statement at all.

"Well, yes and no. When I was in Australia a few years back I adopted her. Her parents died in a fire and I just couldn't leave her to grow up alone," I explained to him.

"What's her name?"

"Avery. I think you'd like her. She's quite the fun-loving little girl," I said.

He smiled.

"I guess I'll just have to meet her sometime."

"You will. But I need to be going. I should probably get my friend's car back to her before she has a panic attack," I informed him.

He laughed.

"Okay. But we are doing this again right?" he asked.

"Of course. How about you come over for dinner tomorrow at around eight and I can introduce you to my very intricate little family?"

He snickered.

"That sounds like a lovely idea. I guess I'll see you tomorrow, gorgeous," he said.

I smiled and waved goodbye to him only to be stopped very abrubtly by his voice.

"Rose, wait!" he said.

I turned around quickly to look at him but instead a soft pair of lips crashed onto my own. After about seven seconds, he pulled away. He had a smile plastered onto his face and right now I was probably as red as a tomato.

"Sorry. I just had to do that before you left," he said.

I smiled.

"Don't apologize. Thank you, actually," I told him.

He just smiled.

"Well, you don't want to get in trouble now do you? I'll see you tomorrow, Rosalie."

As soon as my name fell from his mouth, he turned around and walked away while I was left in a daze just standing in the middle of the bar. I finally snapped out of it though and made my way out to Carly's car. I got in and just sat down in the driver's seat. Tonight was honestly one of the best nights I've had in years and it was all thanks to one very special boy.

I didn't think it was possible to fall for someone so hard and so fast. I just felt incredibly thankful for him. Right now I was just feeling an overwhelming amount of happiness and nothing could ruin that.
