"Motherhood is the greatest and hardest thing"

Time skip(6 months to be exact)

Piara was in front of her reflection slowly putting on her bangles with a big smile on her face. She tucked her loose hairs and put on her big earrings. She adjusted her Lehanga and started walking towards Lavanya's room.

"Queen Lavanya is waiting for you" said Zara with a smile on her face
"Well, the waiting over because the great Piara head arrived" said Piara with a wink

Zara left and Piara started to walk towards Lavanya's room. She saw Lavanya sitting on the bed with a bored face, she was shaky caressing her bump which was big. Pia felt awe seeing the sight.

"Guess who arrived" said Piara and Lavanya shot an anger look at her
"Ok sorry, I'll come earlier next time" said Piara with puppy eyes

"Forgiven, now let's continue because I don't want to be late in a ceremony which is for me" said Lavanya
"Ok my dearest" said Piara
"Good" said Lavanya

Piara brought a beautiful red and green dress. Lavanya was spellbound of its beauty. Lavanya came out in the beautiful dress and Piara casted of all the evil eyes. Lavanya laughed and Piara started straightening Lavanya's dress. There were no servants around because Piara wanted to do everything herself.

"Let no one's evil eye be on you" said Piara , she took some of her kajal and applied it at the back of Lavanya's ear
"Thank you Pia" said Lavanya and hugged Piara , she felt her eyes tearing

"Don't cry now and make my works harder" scolded Piara and Lavanya chuckled
"Ok The great Piara" said Lavanya and Broke off the hug

Lavanya wiped off her tears and smiled , Piara smiled back. Piara took out some light jewellery knowing Lavanya's preference. Lavanya was very excited for the ceremony. Piara took some kajal and applied it on Lavanya's eyes.

"Lav keep you head a little down instead of aiming for the ceiling" said Piara getting annoyed because Lav is raising her head while she is applying the kajal.

"I'm not" said Lav and Piara hit a look
"Ok ,ok , I'll stop" said Lav
"Good girl" said Piara

Piara applied stone kajal successfully into Lavanya's tires and she felt like she did something impossible. Piara applied some red pigment on Lav's lips and cheeks to give a flushed look. Piara again casted off the evil eyes.

We break the knuckles and if a click sound is heard , that means an evil eye is casted and now it's being removed.(that's what we do over at my place ｡◕‿◕｡

"You look gorgeous, motherhood really suits you" said Piara
"I look really ugly" said Lav and Piara rolled her eyes, Pia suspected a mood swing
"Why do you think like that dear, you look gorgeous" said Piara

"Only you do , Harsh Doesn't even hug me, do you know?" Said Lav with a pout.
"He is just scared that will be hurt you and your baby" said Piara with a warm smile

"You sure" asked Lavanya and Piara nodded
"Let's go or we will be late for your ceremony" said Piara and Lavanya nodded

Lavanya and Piara walked into a well decorated hall. Lot of ladies were over there because it was a ladies only function. Piara made Lavanya sit on the seat which is for the mother to be. Lavanya smiled in excitement for the functions.

"Thank you to each and everyone over here, who came to attend the Baby shower of Lavanya" said Piara with a big smile and everyone started to clap

"So first, we will do the bangles ceremony so I've placed all the bangles over here so you can easily take it , I'll start with the first bangle" said Piara in excitement and everyone started clapping

Piara took a red bangle and a green glass bangle, she placed the Bangles on Lavanya each arms. Lavanya couldn't stop smiling due to happiness. She had a lot of memories coming but she discarded them and started enjoying the ceremony.

"It's my lovely Lavanya's Baby shower , someone play the instruments, we need to enjoy this to the maximum" said Piara and Lavanya smiled seeing what all Piara is doing for her

Some ladies started singing some hymns and traditional songs. Piara was enjoying to the maximum and was spreading that happiness around people. Ladies were putting the bangles and Lavanya started to fade into her memories

"Drishti di , don't do all these things, remember you have my nephew or niece in your stomach who is very much excited to meet their Aunt" said Lavanya and Drishti laughed

"This much bangles , this is really scary" said Lavanya
"Don't say like that, it feels something heavenly when you enter motherhood and these rituals are for you and your baby" said Drishti and Lavanya smiled at glowing Drishti

"I'll surely repeat these words at your baby shower and then you'll understand it , you will realise how wise was my words" said Drishti
"Let's see" said Lavanya

"Go and dance , I don't want to bore you" said Drishti
"Love you and thanks for everything" said Lavanya hugging Drishti and she got back to her dancing.

"The Bangles are over so we will get into our next function , we will apply the turmeric on her hands, as usual I'll start" said Piara with a big smile

Piara took some Turmeric and applied it on both hands of Lavanya. Piara took a jewellery set and placed on Lavanya's lap as her Baby shower gift, Lav looked at Piara in surprise and Piara gave her a reassuring smile.

"Embrace you motherhood and enjoy it because it's something special" whispered Pia into Lav's ears

"I miss Drishti di, I used to not understand why she wore all that bangles until I got it now, she promised that she will repeat that words at my baby shower" said Lavanya and Piara hugged her tight
"For the moment I'll be her substitute" said Piara and cupped her face

After that a lot of ladies put some Turmeric on Lavanya's hands. Piara did the ceremony of lights (Arti) and applied tikka on Lavanya. Other ladies started to apply tikka on Lavanya while Piara felt a tap on her shoulder.

"King is calling you" said Zara
"Ok I'm coming" said Piara

Piara went to Harsh's room to find him in deep thoughts.

"What is it Harsh" asked Piara
"I want to you to go to Chaturajy with Lavanya" said Harsh.......

Author can't end without a rant
This update was meant to be a pilot one but it isn't thankfully. Most of the information over here is off Google because I haven't attended any function like this and we don't have functions like this (varies from place to place). So forgive me if there is any mistakes plus I'm a girl who was no idea functions like these , I've not become a mother or had any functions like this so don't judge me for being clueless (not that I care)
