The Ghost Ship

We came through an opening in the larger ship. Hot air surrounded me and flickering lights clouded my vision. The ship was much larger on the inside than it looked from the outside, but maybe that's just because I was a small human inside of a huge alien spaceship. Many different robots strode around the ship. Some of them looked like large mechanical dogs, which frightened me.
We flew down towards a circular pad where Lockdown was standing. The small ship hovered over before dropping Optimus and I. I shifted a bit inside the car, which was lying on its side, but recovered quickly, still looking around the huge ship. I turned my attention back to Lockdown, who now had a large hook strapped onto Optimus' right leg.
"Take that human to the trash," Lockdown demanded before turning and walking away, dragging Optimus away with him.
Suddenly, I felt myself moving. I looked to the rear of the car to see that I was moving towards what looked like a giant trash compactor.
"Optimus," I called, fear resonating through my tone.
"Rosalie," I could hear him faintly say, but I was being dragged farther and farther away.
As the car came to a stop, it flipped over. I looked out of the windshield to see giant mechanical tentacles grabbing and throwing dismembered robots, scraps of metal and other stuff into the giant pit in the floor. I blinked before turning and pushing open the driver's side door. I jumped as I met the eyes of three small robots. The one in the middle gave me a curious look before belting out an ear piercing shriek and coming towards me, the other two following suit. I acted quickly, kicking the bots away I reached back into the car and felt around for a weapon of some sort. My hand wrapped around a long metal rod and I turned back to the bots, hitting each of them with the rod as they came at me. I swatted at them one last time before ducking and rolling away. I got up quickly and started running, making my way deeper into the dark ship.
"Optimus," I croaked out as I was walking through a small, metal walkway in the ship.
Smoke busted through open vents and large, dim lights flickering and some even busting sending a shower of sparks into the air. I rounded the small corner only to come to a huge area on the outside of the ship. Finding Optimus in this ship was going to be impossible. A man's voice caught my attention and I walked over to a large, metal triangular formation. Hiding myself behind it, I looked out to see a middle-aged man, several men, and Lockdown. The men were placing some kind of giant metal sliver into a black pouch.
"One Prime for one seed. Handle it with care," I heard Lockdown say.
The middle aged man responded with sly smile.
"Oh, we will," he said.
"I trust your species is ready," Lockdown said.
The man laughed.
"Don't worry about our species."
Lockdown grunted.
"Farewell, Earth," he parted.
The men walked back towards a helicopter and Lockdown walked back into the ship. To keep from being spotted by Lockdown, I made my way back down into the ship. After climbing through several crevices, I made my way to a large hallway. I felt the ship shudder slightly, but shook it off as nothing as I turned the hallway corner.I trust
After a few minutes of walking, I heard the sound of loud barking in the distance. Realizing the sounds were closing in on me, I turned the opposite way and ran. As the barking got louder and louder, I looked over my shoulder to see several of those robot dog-like things chasing after me. I squealed and pushed myself to run faster. As I ran down the long corridor, I noticed a small opening out to the side. After slipping on a lose piece of metal, I quickly got up, rushing through the small opening, the small mechs barely missing me. I fell backwards as the mechs tried clawing at me through it small crevice. Frightened, I scooted myself backwards, trying to hide myself from the creatures.
I noticed a light at the end of the way and made my way over to it. Looking out, I saw another large hallway. I stepped onto it and walked down the massive walkway, cautiously looking around at my surroundings. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed two large robots advancing quickly down the hallway. I looked around quickly to see if I could find something to hide in or on. What looked to be a hanging cage caught my attention. I ran over to it, stepping on the protruding ledge, waiting for the seekers to pass me by. My breath caught in my throat as I felt something warm wrapping itself around the base of my leg which caused me to let out a small whimper. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm myself so not to be detected by the robots.
Soft stomping and clicking caused me to tense up. I held on tightly to the bars of the cage. A wave of green flashed in my eyes. I stilled myself as I watched it scan the area. As quickly as it came, it disappeared. I looked over my shoulder to see that the two bots had disappeared. Breathing out in relief, I tried to make my way off the ledge only to be stopped by the restriction on my leg. I struggled, wiggling my leg vigorously before losing my balance and falling off of the small ledge. Landing on my back, I looked to see a reptile-like creature inside the cage. It's tongue was wrapped around my leg. I looked at the weird creature before grabbing a sharp piece of metal off the ground and stabbing the creature's tongue with it. It cried out in pain as I severed the organ, unwrapping it from my leg and tossing it to the ground in disgust.
"Rosalie!" someone yelled from above me.
I realized it was my dad. I got up and looked around, seeing no one.
"Daddy! Help me!" I responded.
Above me, small and large footsteps sounded. Suddenly, I heard the sound of gunfire and exploding metal. Breathing heavily, I took off down the hallway, the sound of the gunfire ceasing. I turned the corner to see my dad, Gracie, and Jason running in my direction.
"Daddy!" I yelled as I ran to him, taking him tightly into my arms.
"You saved me. Thank you, thank you, thank you," I said as he released me.
I turned to Gracie and Jason, engulfing them into a hug as well.
"Thank you guys," I said into their arms.
They squeezed me tightly before letting me go. I looked at them and Gracie turned to my dad who was strapping a large gun onto his shoulder.
"How are we supposed to get out of here without getting caught?" she asked my dad.
"I'm not sure, but we have to act fast. Come on," he responded, making his way down the large hallway.
We ran after him and after several minutes of walking my feet were getting extremely tired. I'm surprised they hadn't already fallen off yet. I really need to get in shape.
My dad lead us all down another long corridor until a light caught our attention. We made our way over and crawled through the small crevice and onto the ship's back deck.
"So, what now? We're out of the ship, just how are we supposed to get off of it?" Jason asked as my dad made his way around a small barrier.
"Like this," my dad called to us.
We climbed over the barrier and the sight in front of me nearly knocked me out. Attached to the ship were giant metal cables, which reached through the air and over to a tall glass building. I could only assume that these were the ships anchors. I walked over to the end of the ship and stared down below with wide eyes. We were like five hundred feet in the air, and I did not feel like dying today.
"There's no way that I'm doing this," I said to my dad.
Him and Jason had already made their way onto the cables while Gracie and I stood at the edge of the ship.
"Yeah, dying isn't really my thing," Gracie said, backing away from the side.
My brother and my dad stopped to look at us.
"Well, how else do you expect to get off?" Jason asked us.
I just shrugged and focused on the cables.
"Both of you, come on. Now," my dad said.
I grunted before taking a small step onto the cable. Gracie let out an obnoxious whine before following behind me. I used one of the higher elevated cables as a railing and began making my way slowly towards my father and brother.
"Be careful, they're thinning out the further you go," my dad explained.
Just great.
"Dad, I can't do this," I said to him.
We were almost halfway to the building and I was already crawling. Over head, fighter jets flew by. The roar of the engine causing the cables to tremble very slightly, making me squeal. I almost lost my balance.
"Just keep going. We're almost there," he told me as he continued toward the tall building.
"Nope, forget this. I'm going back to the ship," I told him, scooting backwards.
The cable trembled, causing my balance to falter slightly. I clung tightly to the metal cable to keep from falling.
"Gracie! Stop wiggling the cables!" I yelled.
"It's not me, you jack ass," she remarked.
Surely enough I looked over to see Gracie crawling, her features etched in deep concentration. Then what is it? I was about to turn around when my dad's voice rang through my ears.
"Rose, don't turn around, okay?" he said.
"Well, when you tell me not to, it makes me want to," I responded back.
The cable trembled more.
"I'm going to point this gun in your direction, okay? It's gonna feel like it's in your direction, but it's not," he explained.
"What the hell is it?!" I asked rather irritated.
"I had to bust my ass to get on this ship to save you. GET DOWN NOW!" he yelled at me.
I lowered myself quickly as he pointed the gun and shot in my direction. I looked behind me to see that one of those weird robot dogs were stalking towards us. The sound of a scream turned my attention to Gracie who was staring horrified at one behind her. I heard several shots and the sound of metal snapping. Looking down, I saw two of the mechanical dogs plummeting to the ground. Suddenly, I felt a rough jerk and the cable I was sitting on trembled immensely. I focused my attention to the back of the ship where seven more of those damn canines were chewing through the cable's wires.
"Oh my gosh," I muttered under my breath while tightly clinging onto the rusted metal.
The sound of gun fire rang through my ears and I turned around just in time to see Bee jump out from behind a large, metal barrier. He began shooting at the smaller robots.
I gasped as one jumped up and began clawing away at Bee's armour. Bee didn't take long to retaliate. He grabbed the bot by the tail and swung him around before shooting it in the face and tossing it off the edge of the ship. The last bot was quickly chewing through the wires. One by one, the cables snapped. Bee shot the bot down, but it was already too late. I closed my eyes and screamed out as my cable snapped, sending me flying through the air.
'This is it,' I thought.
I waited for the impact to come, but it never did. I opened my eyes to see that my dad, Jason, Gracie and I were being held in a metal hand. It didn't take me long to realize it was Bee. We were perched on the side of the glass building.
"You're the best, Bee! The best," my dad praised him.
Bee nodded at him.
"Don't you forget it," he remarked through his radio.
I began feeling dizzy, so I laid my head down on Bee's finger.
"I think I'm going to be sick," I mumbled. Bee whirred in disgust before slightly moving his finger away from me. I grunted and sat back up. In the distance, a ship was racing towards us. Bee readied his gun but soon put it up as he realized it was only Crosshairs.
"Bee, hop on!" I heard Crosshairs say before he pulled up to us. "We've got enemy ships everywhere. Hurry!"
Bee held out his hand for Gracie and I to hop onto the ship before him, my dad, and Jason followed. As soon as we were all stationed inside the ship, Crosshairs took off. I was sitting behind my dad and Jason, with Gracie closely by my side. Loud gunfire rang throughout my ears as we twisted and ducked around buildings and under bridges.
"Come on, Bee! Take 'em down!" Crosshairs demanded.
I watched as Bee shot his grappling hook towards a docked ship. He hooked it and in one swift movement, two of the five alien ships were in the water.
"This one's for you a-hole," Crosshairs exclaimed as he shot down a draw bridge.
Two more of the ships went down, leaving one left. Crosshairs grunted and then yanked Bee away, only to receive an irritated whine from him in response.
"I'm sick of this crap. Here, you fly," Crosshairs said as he got up and walked to the end of the ship.
I looked at Gracie curiously as he hurriedly spoke to my dad and Jason who were stationed by the guns. She just simply shrugged at me. I sighed and turned back to see Crosshairs getting ready to jump off the back of the ship.
"Wait, where are you going?" Gracie asked him.
He looked at the blonde headed girl beside me before very dramatically putting his visor down.
"To lay some hate," he responded as he flew off the back off the ship.
I raised my eyebrows. Wow. Debris went flying through the air and I covered my head to protect myself. I looked up and saw an alien ship gaining on us. My dad and Jason were just fidgeting with the controls, mumbling something about sliding and punching. I rolled my eyes at them. The alien ship started shooting at us again, Bee barely dodging the shots.
"Come on, Bee! You gotta go faster!" I yelled to him.
My dad and Jason finally started shooting the guns.
"Wow, these alien guns kick ass," I heard my dad mutter.
Typical. We were being chased through a tunnel, but I breathed in relief as my dad and Jason managed to shoot down the last alien ship, only to have that sense of relief immediately ripped away me. Fear coursed throughout my body as I saw a large truck coming our way.
"Uh oh," Bee muttered before bursting through the ceiling of the tunnel.
The impact destroyed one of the engines which sent us flying through the air. We spun out of control for a few seconds until finally skidding to a stop. My dad and Jason immediately jumped out of the ship, leaving me and Gracie to stare at the mess in front of us. Cars were over turned and wrecked while some were even up in flames, the road was completely destroyed, and some parts of buildings were destroyed. I looked up at Bee who was scanning around the area.
"You know, you're kind of a bad pilot, Bee. No offense though," I told him.
Gracie giggled. He gave me a look and then shrugged. I snickered.
"Honey, hand me my alien gun, please," my dad called.
I gave him a confused look before grabbing the gun out of the ship. I jumped off and turned to my dad, seeing a man running away from him. I handed him the gun and he put his arm around my shoulder.
"Trust your dad, okay?" he asked.
I nodded and looked over my shoulder to see Crosshairs speeding down the street. He stopped just in front of Bumblebee and transformed.
"Optimus and the rest are about thirty miles outside of the city. They're hanging out at some sort of train station. We'd better get a move on," he explained. Bee nodded at him and they both transformed back into their alt modes, opening the doors for us to get in. I looked up at my dad.
"You and Grace go with Bee. Me and Jason are gonna go with Crosshairs. We'll see you in a little bit," he said kissing both mine and Gracie's foreheads before getting into Crosshairs.
He sped off quickly, leaving Bee, Gracie and I in the middle of the road. After receiving a very impatient revv from Bee. I climbed into the passenger's seat and shut the door. Bee sped off down the street with no hesitation. After several moments of silence, I spoke up.
"You know, I'm really sorry that you got sucked into this mess, Grace," I told her quietly.
She looked at me before turning to look back out the window.
"Don't be sorry. It's not your fault. Aside from all the near death experiences, explosions and the lack of bathing, it's actually been pretty fun. I've always wanted to go on an adventure. I just hope this adventure doesn't kill us," she said laughing.
I joined her.
"Yeah, me too, but we really do look disgusting though," I responded and chuckled as I looked her over.
Her blonde hair was matted down with sweat. Dirt covered her face and her make up was slightly smeared. Her clothes were covered in dust and dirt. Her jeans had been ripped in several places and her shoes were in desperate need of a polishing.
"Hey, I'm almost certain that you look much worse than me," she joked.
It was true though. My dark brown hair was knotted and it stuck to my face. My make up was smeared also, only much more than hers. I was covered in dirt, dust, and oil. Not to mention my jeans were distressed in multiple places. I looked back up at Gracie and smiled.
"Oh well. It could be worse," I told her while leaning back into the seat.
In the distance, on top of a small hill, a massive ship caught my eye. I looked out the windshield to see that we were nearing the train station. Slightly hidden by the mass number of trains in the surrounding area, Optimus, Hound, Drift, Crosshairs, my dad, and Jason all stood around. Their gaze shifted to us as we pulled up. Bee came to a stop and transformed as soon as Gracie and I got out.
"We've got ourselves a ship. We're leaving this planet," I heard Crosshairs say.
I rolled my eyes at him.
"You humans, after all that we have done, you do not understand what you have brought upon yourself," Optimus spoke out.
I turned to look at him.
"What are you talking about? I'm doing things outta my league here," my dad retorted.
"In the man-made prototype I fought, I sensed the presence of Megatron," Optimus said softly.
I narrowed my eyes at him.
"You mean the decepticon that started the Chicago war?" Jason asked.
Optimus just sighed.
"A few millenia ago. .give or take an eon--," Hound started.
"Dozens of planets were cyber-formed by seeds. Our creators destroyed your planet's organice life to make us," Optimus finished.
Seeds. It sounds awfully familiar.
"Seeds?" Gracie asked.
Realization hit me. Lockdown and that other guy had been talking about a seed.
Optimus nodded at her. A small bot I hadn't noticed before jumped off of Hound's shoulder.
"They had me hooked up to the evil decepticon's brain thinking he was dead. But, that mind wasn't as dead as they thought. He fed me all the info, all the specs, just so they could build him a new body, then he infected it with his nasty evil chromosomes. They might've named him the snappy name of Galvatron, but that's just Megatron reincarnated," the tiny bot said.
I looked at him bewildered.
"You knew all that and you didn't think to tell them?" I shot at him.
"Little girl, you'll go to a pretty dark place when you on death row. But, Galvatron wants to take that seed and detonate it in the biggest city and kill millions. He's gonna show the world, baby, I'm back," he continued.
"He'll have enough metal to create a massive army. .an army that will wipe out your species forever," Optimus explained.
"You greedy bastards brought this upon yourselves. It all worked out for me though. I'm free at last," the small bot exclaimed excitedly.
I pursed my lips at him before turning back to Optimus.
"So, how do we stop him?" I asked.
"We have to retrieve the seed before he does. We'll move out in the morning," Optimus said.
I nodded. My dad nudged me and gestured towards one of the trains.
I walked over towards the train and into the door that Jason had broke open. I sighed and plopped myself down onto one of the small couches. Gracie was on the opposite side of the train laying down on a chair. My dad and Jason were sitting down at one of the fancy tables talking to each other. I cuddled up into the small couch, letting darkness take over me as I drifted off to sleep.
*Please vote and comment. It'd mean so much to me. I wanna know what you guys think.*
