Retrieving the Seed

*I don't own Transformers or anything affiliated with Transformers. I only own my original characters and plots. All rights go to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.*

The sun shone brightly through the train's windows. I had been up for a few hours, along with my dad and Jason. What time was it? I still didn't know. All I knew was that I wanted all of this to be over, and soon. Gracie was still fast asleep in her chair so, I quietly stood up and walked over to the train's door. I stepped out to see my dad and Jason talking to the Autobots.

"How fast can that thing get us halfway around the world?" I overheard my dad ask.

"Very. It's a spaceship," Drift responded confidently.

I sighed and walked over to a large oak tree. I leaned against it and crossed my arms over my chest. The sound of sirens in the distance caught my attention. Below us, a line of police cars were speeding towards us. I just stared at them as they continued driving.

How is it that my life got this way, this fast? A million questions rang through my head. Not even a week ago, I was back home in Texas studying for senior finals and now I'm here in the middle of some type of alien war. No home. No nothing. The sound of human and mechanical footsteps tore me away from my thoughts. I listened as Hound spoke, still watching the police cars advance up the hill.

"If you're travelin', now's the time," he said before walking away.

My dad softly spoke to me.

"All I want is for us to have our life back. Are we safer on our own or are we safer with them? It's up to you."

I answered his question with my thoughts. Of course we were safer with them, yet we were also in the most danger with them. I took one last glance at the line of vehicles before turning around. I made my way past Jason and my dad and back to the ship where the Autobots and Gracie were now gathered.

"Autobots, we're retrieving the seed and then we're done defending the humans," Optimus remarked.

I just sighed again and made my way up the ship's ramp, Bumblebee and Gracie quickly running ahead of me.

"What do you mean you're done?" I heard my dad shoot back.

If there was a response, I hadn't heard it. I was already sitting inside the ship, Bumblebee and Gracie sat across from me. Optimus, my dad, Jason, Hound, Drift, and Crosshairs quickly rushed onto the ship. As the ship's entry ramp closed, we took off. I leaned my head back against the wall and looked over to see Bumblebee staring at me. I gave him a questioning look and he shook his head.

"What'd I tell you-little lady?" he asked me.

Gazing around the ship, I saw no one was paying attention to our little ordeal except Gracie, who looked on in curiosity. I brought my attention back towards Bumblebee.

"I'm sorry, Bee. I'm trying. Trust me, I am. It's just still so much to take in," I told him looking down at my hands in my lap.

"What are you two talking about?" Gracie asked.

"I made a promise to Bee that I would stay strong throughout all of this. He told me that I was courageous and brave and I promised him that I would continue to be and he promised me that he would never let anything happen to me. So far, he's lived up to his word, I on the other hand am struggling very hard to," I said softly.

"But it can't be that hard, Rose. Bee wasn't lying. You're one of the bravest and strongest people I know. You lost your mom at age seventeen and left everything and everyone that you knew behind, all within a month's time. You've even stepped up to take care of your family, Rose. That's hard to do, especially for a teenager who hasn't even finished school yet, and you know good and well you've never broken a promise, so if you break one of the most important ones that you've made in a while, I might have to kill you if he doesn't do it first," she said and laughed gesturing to Bee in the corner who was watching us.

"Thank you, Grace and I'm trying, Bee. I really am," I said looking up at the yellow bot.

He looked down at me.

"Well, try harder," he belted out.

Playfully shoving me to the ground with his finger. I laughed and lightly pushed him away. Gracie raised a brow at us, amusement etched into her features.

"You two have a strong bond. It's like I can feel it," she said while waving her hands around in the air as if motioning to mine and Bee's 'bond'.

I looked at her and pushed my hair back out of my face. Man, I really needed a brush. I sat back against the wall and looked up at Bee. He was watching Gracie and I again.

"He saved my life. A bond can't get much stronger than that," I said quietly while looking back at Grace.

Bee gave a small whir and Gracie just smiled at me. I yawned and looked over to my dad who was at the opposite end of the ship with Jason and Optimus.

"Hey, you two idjits and Optimus!" I called over to them.

My dad gave me a dirty look while Jason and Optimus looked at me with an amused expression.

"When are we going to be at wherever 'halfway around the world' is?" I asked them.

"Approximately seven hours, Rosalie," Optimus answered me.

I smiled and nodded at him before turning back to Bee and Gracie.

"Bee, hold out your hand or servo or whatever," I told him.

He gave me a confused look, but cooperated anyway. I pouted as he held it up over my head.

"Lower," I whined.

He playfully rolled his eyes before lowering it down to my level. I smiled in content and climbed up onto it to lay down. I made myself comfortable and looked to see that both Bee and Gracie were giving me strange looks.

"What? I'm sleepy and there's no way I'm laying down on that floor. Who knows what kind of creepy shit Lockdown has done in here. Plus, you're most definitely not an option, and I don't know the others that well. .yanno except for Optimus, but my dad is stuck up his ass so that's a no go as well," I said.

Bee and Grace laughed at me. Gracie leaned back into the wall and shook her head. Bee relaxed his hand against his chest and I grabbed his thumb and cuddled myself against it before closing my eyes. I felt him chuckle beneath me.

"You look like a big baby," Gracie laughed.

I opened my eyes just enough to glare at her before closing them again. I listened to the faint hum of the ship's engine and drifted off to sleep.

Something had been nudging my side for the past three minutes, and for the first two minutes I just brushed it off and tried to go back to sleep, but by the third minute, the nudging continued, making me slightly irritated. I pushed the nudger away and turned back over so I could continue my slumber. Not even thirty seconds later it started again, and I sat up angrily.

"Who keeps touching me?" I asked Gracie and Bumblebee. Gracie pointed at Bee and laughed.

"Someone needs to learn the difference between a human hand and a Cybertronian hand," Gracie said teasing me.

Cybertronian? It must be their origin or something. I grunted before laying myself back down onto his hand. He nudged me yet again and I glared at him.

"What Bee? I'm tired," I whined.

He gave me a look and shook his head before pointing towards the end of the ship. I looked and saw that we were approaching the Great Wall of China. My eyes widened in amazement. I motioned for Bee to let me down, and when he did I ran to the opposite end of the ship. I stared at the wall in astonishment. I've always wanted to go to China. My smile faltered, though, when I realized that we were here on account of the alien war going on and not the peaceful vacation I had always imagined.

"What's wrong, Rose?" Gracie asked from behind me.

I jumped, not realizing she was behind me.

"Nothing, Grace," I assured her.

I gave her a quick smile and walked back over to Bee. I sat against his foot and focused in on my dad and Optimus' conversation.

"Did you really mean it when you said you were done defending the humans?" my dad asked him.

A look of sadness and anger flashed through Optimus' eyes.

"How many more of my kind must be sacrificed for your mistakes?" Optimus remarked.

Ouch. But, he did have a point though.

"What do you think being human means? We make mistakes. It's what we do. You know, when I fixed you, it was for a reward. It was for money and without that mistake, you wouldn't be here. Sometimes, the greatest things come out of making mistakes. That's why you're here right now. You gotta have faith in us, Prime," my dad responded back.

Optimus thought over my dad's words for a moment before giving a slight nod and turning his attention to the front of the ship where Hound, Drift and Crosshairs were. Hound got up and walked over to Optimus.

"Alright boss, we're closin' in the seed now. We got about two minutes before we touchdown," he explained to Optimus.

Optimus nodded and headed towards the front of the ship. I fell backwards as Bumblebee moved to get up.

"A little warning next time, please," I said while glaring at him.

He gave me an amused look before shrugging and walking over to the ship's ramp which was wide open.

"Rosalie, come over here and help us!" Jason called from the end of the ship.

I ran over to them. The same man from KSI was trying to hand my dad a large black case. I grabbed Gracie's hand to help try and keep them from falling out of the ship. I started slipping which caused the other's too as well. Bee immediately rushed over and grabbed onto my hand while holding on to the side of the ship.

"Ah man," I heard Hound say as a whistling sound tore through the air.

A missile soared above my head, stopping when it hit one of the ship's engines. I was yanked off of the ship by Gracie, landing roughly on the ground. Bee and Hound had jumped out of the ship as well. Their weapons ready for whatever was to come.

"Come on!" my dad yelled.

I got up quickly and ran closely behind my family and my best friend. I covered my head as another missile soared, hitting the building behind me, barely missing myself in the action. My dad lead us to an elevator and we all crammed inside.

"Why won't it shut?" Mr. KSI seethed, repeatedly pressing all of the buttons.

"There's too much weight," my dad said.

Gunshots rang in my ear, and I screamed. I glanced outside of the elevator to see that dick Savoy shooting at us. My dad slowly got up to make his way out of the elevator.

"I'm gonna lead him away from here. You guys get the seed somewhere safe, okay? I'll be back," he said.

"No, dad, he'll kill you," I said trying to get up only to have Jason pull me back down.

I struggled in his arms.

"I'll be fine, sweetie," he said before rushing out of the elevator.

The doors finally shut, and I laid my head down on Jason's shoulder.

"He's gonna be okay, Rose," he reassured me while rubbing my arm comfortingly.

Mr. KSI looked at us.

"Who are you?" I asked him.

"My name is Joshua Joyce. Head CEO of KSI," he said as the elevator doors opened.

We rushed out and made our way into a small hallway. Joshua was holding, what I assumed to be the seed, tightly in front of him.

"Excuse us, excuse us, please. Oh, hi kids," he babbled on as we made our way passed different people.

We slowed down as we came up behind three old women, walking way too slow for comfort.

"Excuse us ladies. Excuse us," he said trying to make his way passed them.

"Oh my gosh! How do you say 'get the fuck out of the way' in Chinese?" he yelled.

I rolled my eyes before making my way up to the front and gently pushing the ladies out of the way, the rest of them following. We made our way down one last corridor before we got outside the building.

"Darcy!" Joshua yelled while running up to some blonde chick.

I noticed Bee and Hound standing by the streets. I looked to Jason and Gracie who were behind me and gestured towards the small building in between the two Autobots. They followed after me and we crouched down inside of it. There was so much shooting going on. I covered my head with my hands as a shot went off. I saw hundreds of people running, looking for some sort of safety. After a moment, it was silent. I could hear my dad speaking to Bee and I jumped up and ran over to him, engulfing him in a hug.

"Rosalie," he said as he held me.

We released each other and Joshua approached us.

"We've got a real dilemma here. I created incredible robots and it was all designed to kick that fat transformer's ass, so really this is a no win situation. It's over," he said, motioning to Hound who was behind him.

Hound turned around, took his 'cigar' out of his mouth and flicked it at the back of Joshua's head. I snickered.

"That was mean," Hound retorted.

"Hey! I'm sorry you can't handle the cold hearted truth!" Joshua shot back.

"Optimus, what's the matter with these humans? Can I squish the bald guy?" Hound spoke into his radio.

Joshua gave him a look.

"So, what do we do now?" Gracie asked.

I shrugged at her. My dad grabbed my arm while Jason grabbed Gracie's and they began running down the street with the other hundreds of people. Bumblebee and Hound were up ahead of us in their alt modes and Joshua was behind us, the seed still in his hands.

"Come on, Rose. You gotta keep up," my dad spoke to me while I ran behind him.

An explosion sounded and we took cover behind Hound. My dad released my arm and ran out into the street.

"Come on, we gotta move!" he said motioning us over.

Another explosion sounded and we took cover behind the ruins of a small building. Bee and Hound were shooting a great deal at a bunch of robots.

"Stay behind me. I'm coverin' ya. If I stop coverin' ya, it means I'm dead, but that ain't gonna happen," Hound said.

Before he had the chance to say anything else, a robot perched on top of a roof shot at him. He retaliated quickly before turning and successfully shooting the bot down. I watched as Bee took down three bots in just two shots.

"I'm a wicked warrior robot," Hound said.

I almost wanted to laugh, but considering the situation, I didn't find it to be very appropriate. One more loud shot sounded before my dad grabbed mine and Gracie's arms and pulled us to more building ruins. We hid behind a tall pillar. The sound of the gunfire increased more and more.

"Bee, twelve o'clock. Cover fire," Hound demanded.

Bee shot his gun once before turning around and aiming his cannons at two red robots across the battlefield. He shot three times, killing the bots in the process. My dad dragged us up again and we ran towards a small glass building.

"We're surrounded! Come on! Hustle, hustle," Joshua babbled from behind Jason who was helping him drag the heavy seed.

We entered the building and Gracie and I slid underneath one of the tables, shielding ourselves from the falling debris and from the gunfire. People were running all along the streets, trying to find somewhere to shield themselves from the attacks.

"Oh, this is the perfect place to hide. A BIG GLASS BOX. Nobody'll ever find us here," sarcasm rang in Joshua's voice.

I heard the sound of clattering glass and saw Joshua having some sort of mental break down. He was pushing tea cups off of tables and stomping around like a five year old. I almost wanted to laugh, he looked so ridiculous.

"Come on, Joseph. I'm dyin' out here. SHOOT!" Hound called.

My dad knocked out a window and aimed his gun, firing at the enemy bots. Explosions rattled the building, knocking me down in the process. Debris flew everywhere and I lay down underneath the table. Out the window, I saw a red bot turn to shoot at us, but before he even had the chance, he was shot down.

"Good shootin', Jo," Hound said to my dad.

"I'm like a fat ballerina who takes scalps, and slits throats," Hound muttered as he ducked and rolled, shooting down four bots in the process. I got out from my position under the table to watch what else was going down. Jason and Gracie joined me and stared wide eyed as they watched Hound viciously rip off an enemy bot's head. Suddenly, a grenade flew through the window. Joshua, who was crawling on the floor dragging the seed behind him, stopped and blinked at the unarmed explosive.

"PULL THE PIN! I'm dyin' out here," Hound yelled.

My dad walked over to Joshua who had picked up the over sized grenade. He pulled the pin and excessive ticking rattled my eardrums.

"Here, here! It's live!" Joshua said before handing the armed grenade to my father.

"What do you want me to do with it?" he shot back.

"Just throw it!" Joshua demanded.

My dad tossed it to Hound who ran off. I heard two loud explosions and the Hound's voice sounded again.

"I got some bad news, Joseph. I'm out of ammo, out of ideas," the bot said.

My dad proceeded to keep shooting at the enemy bots while Hound killed one with a grenade to the head and another with his ammo belt. I was back under the table with Gracie and Jason. Debris was falling around me and the glass in the windows of the building was slowly giving out. I reached out for Gracie and Jason's hands. They took them and each gave me a small smile. Fighting the frightened tears in my eyes I turned to look back out the window. Hound was being stormed by two enemy bots. He managed to kill one but, the other bot took it as an opportunity to attack him. Hound struggled underneath the bot's grip before using his cigar as a make shift bullet and spitting it into the bot's eyes. He shoved the bot off of him and just lay there.

"Get up, Hound!" my dad commanded him.

"I can't go on. The tank's empty, bro," he said.

My dad walked over to him, completely oblivious to the gunfire, explosions and flying debris around him.

"There's more of them comin'. If you don't get up and fight, we're gonna die, let's go!" my dad said before running over to a building pillar and cocking his gun.

I got out from underneath the table and went to hide by the door. A loud shriek caught my attention, and I looked up in the sky to see a mechanical two headed pteranodon. I looked to the sky in confusion before turning back to the battlefield.

"OPTIMUS IS HERE!" Hound exclaimed, as he stood at the opposite end of the field.

I turned back and watched Bee shoot at what looked to be Stinger. No surprise there. He shot the bot multiple times before jumping into the mech bird's grasp. Stinger jumped at the last minute, latching himself onto Bumblebee's foot. I heard a faint whine from Bee as the flying mech took off into the sky.
