Honor to the End

*I don't own Transformers or anything affiliated with Transformers. I only own my original characters and plots. All rights go to Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.*

Unbelievable. That was the only word I could think of to describe what was happening right now. Hound had been right when he said that Optimus was here, and I myself had expected him to show up sooner or later, but, what I didn't expect was for him to come marching through the ruined streets of Hong Kong on a giant robotic dinosaur, let alone a damn tyrannosaurus rex. Nor did I expect Drift to ride in on a triceratops, Crosshairs to ride in on a spinosaurus, or Bumblebee to fly off clinging on to the bottom of a pteranodon. I would've shrugged it off if it was like an elephant or something, but these animals were all extinct and they had been for the past billion years or so. Days ago, I had come to the realization that anything was possible with these aliens, and this proved my theory to be incredibly true.

One by one, Optimus had taken down the enemy bots. I felt like I was in the middle of some sort of action movie while I was watching everything go down. I was still in my place in the glass building by the door. There was so much happening at the moment that my brain couldn't function properly. My dad had to shake me to tear me from my trance.

"Come on, honey. We've gotta go. We have to get the seed out of here," he said before taking my arm and running after Gracie, Darcy, Jason and Joshua.

Crosshairs and Drift accompanied us for protection. We ran past several buildings, all of which were in ruins from the great battle taking place. A loud, high pitched noise caused me to cover my ears. The sun was being replaced by something dark, and I looked up to see that very familiar ship flying over head.

"Get the seed to the bridge! Use this car," Crosshairs commanded pointing to the small blue SUV we had been standing by.

We quickly scrambled inside the car. Jason in the driver's seat, my dad in the passenger's seat and the rest of us in the back. My brother quickly sped off down the street, dodging debris that was in the way. We were speeding down the bank. Optimus, Bee and the dinobots, as I liked to call them, were running steadily beside us.

"There's the bridge! Get that seed out of the city!" Optimus called.

"Oh my gosh, what is that?" Gracie asked, leaning forward in her seat.

I focused my gaze towards the direction she was looking. Ships, cars, and anything metal was being sucked up into Lockdown's ship.

"It's some sort of magnet," I told her.

My eyes widened as everything fell back to the earth. Most of it splashed down into the water causing a massive wave to come ashore.

"Jason! You have to go! We have to get out of here right now," my dad said in a panicked voice.

The ground was being flooded with ocean water and the massive wave was making its way towards us. Jason put the car into reverse and quickly backed away.

"Drive faster!" I screamed at him as a ship's propeller landed in front of us.

"Move, I can't see!" he shot back.

"Move out of the way! Move out of--you know what just hit 'em, just hit 'em!" Joshua babbled.

I rolled my eyes at him and turned around in my seat. I watched Bee speed away and Optimus was struggling in the water.

"Come on Jason, drive!" Gracie yelled.

I settled back into my seat beside Joshua, the opening and beeping of the seed startling me. My dad, Gracie, and Darcy had turned to stare at the bomb.

"What is that? Why is it beeping?" my dad asked him.

"I don't know. It's an issue," Joshua responded back calmly.

"Is it gonna blow up?" Darcy asked from the very back of the SUV.

"I don't know. It's a very steady blinking light," he said.

"Well, why is it blinking?"

"Is it gonna blow up?" The questions poured out of my dad's and Darcy's mouth.

I could see the frustrated expression on Joshua's face.

"I DON'T KNOW! All I'm saying is that it could be an issue. It could be a time or something; either that or it's signalling location," Joshua explained.

"Guys," Jason called from the driver's seat.

We had all been too focused on Joshua to notice the large alien space ship closing in on us.

"Go to the building! Hurry!" my dad demanded while pointing to a small building just up the street.

I watched as debris continued falling from the ship.

"OH MY GOSH!" Joshua screamed as a ship fell on top of a building in front of us, destroying it as it did.

"Jason, go!" Gracie yelled.

Jason quickly turned and slid into the small building, causing things to fall on top of the car in the process. I breathed out a sigh in relief but it was short lived as I looked out of the windshield to see knives and various silverware rising into the air. I felt a jerk and the SUV was in the air.

"Get out of the car!" my dad yelled as he hit the ground.

I quickly unbuckled my seat belt and jumped from the car. Gracie, Jason, Joshua and Darcy following shortly after me.

"Uh oh," I heard Joshua say.

He was floating in the air, the seed tight in his grip. My dad rushed over and grabbed a hold of his leg before he could go higher, but his body weight wasn't enough to hold him. Darcy and Jason ran over and grabbed on to my dad's ankles. Joshua was being crushed up against a ceiling beam, but went no higher. All of a sudden, they dropped to the ground as well as the car we had previously been in.

"CAR!" I yelled.

The rest quickly got up and we ran out of the building and through a courtyard. A loud explosion filled the air. I looked up at Lockdown's ship to see that the magnet had been destroyed and the dinobots and Optimus were falling to the ground. The ground trembled immensely as the mechanical t-rex rolled across the ground.

"BUMBLEBEE!" I yelled as we came to a street.

A few minutes later, Bee came flying through the air on top of the pteranodon.

"Hey guys--YEEHAW!" his radio belted out.

I shook my head. He was having too much fun considering the situation. He jumped off and stalked over to us.

"Rose, I've gotta go help Optimus, okay?" his words caught me off guard and I turned to stare at him.

Optimus was running off in the distance.

"Wait, what? No, dad. You can't help him!" I pleaded with him.

Jason grabbed my shoulders as I began walking towards my dad.

"I have to, Rose. He came back for us. Bee, I want you to get them somewhere safe. You do whatever you have to do okay?" he said.

I heard Bee transform and Jason started pushing me towards the passenger's side door.

"Dad, don't leave please," I begged him.

The tears threatened to spill out of my eyes.

"Look, I'll be okay," he tried to reassure me, but I wasn't buying it at all.

I was very sure that if he left here, he would not be coming back. Jason continued to try and push me into the car, but I fought against his grip.

"Dad, no! You'll die!" I cried.

"Rose, you gotta stay with Jason! It'll be okay! Listen, I know you three don't get along that well, but you have to promise me that you'll take care of your sisters. You have to keep them safe, okay? Do you promise?" my dad asked Jason.

"I promise, dad," he responded.

I could tell by the way his voice cracked that he was fighting back his tears.

"You three are the best things that ever happened to me, don't ever forget that. Tell Lynleigh that I love her," he said and kissed my forehead.

"Please, dad. No," I begged.

"Stay safe, Grace," he told Grace before running off.

A pained look flashed across her features before she jumped inside of the car.

"DAD!" I called while trying to run after him, but Jason had already shoved me into the car.

Bee took no time in speeding off. I sat there just staring out the windshield as I silently cried.

I couldn't just leave my dad to die like that. He was all that I had. He raised me and he took care of me. After my mom died, he was all by himself and taking care of three teenagers is most likely not the easiest thing to do, but he managed. He was strong and he did everything in his power to make sure that we had everything we needed. He would always make sure to put us before himself. The fact that he would accept nothing just to give us everything pained me. I couldn't lose him, and especially not like this.

"Stop the car!" I yelled.

Bee pulled to a sudden stop. Jason and Gracie looked at me.

"You better listen," Bee said to me.

The tears were still making their way down my face.

"No, Bee. I'm not leaving my dad out there," I responded.

Bee idled for a moment before speeding off in the opposite direction. After a few minutes of driving, Bee pulled up by a shipping yard. I opened the door and got out of the car with Jason and Gracie on my tail. Bee drove off and transformed quickly, running after Lockdown who was on the opposite side of the yard. I saw my dad shooting at Lockdown in the distance while Bee fought him. Optimus was sitting against a row of steamers, his sword lodged deep into his chest. He was angrily beating against the sword, trying to figure out some way to get it out of him. I noticed a wrecker over by some ruined pillars and ran over to it.

"Jason!" I called. Him and Gracie ran over to me.

I opened the door and gestured for him to get in.

"GET OUT OF HERE NOW!" I heard my dad yell at us.

He was slowly walking towards Lockdown, who was getting up off of the ground. I turned back to Jason.

"Listen to me. When I tell you to drive, you drive okay?" I asked him.

He nodded his head and started up the truck.

"Gracie, get in the truck, please," I commanded her.

She nodded and ran around to the other side of the truck and got in. I quickly ran over to pick up the wrecker's hook that was laying on the ground.

"Joseph! Get out of here! This is my fight!" Optimus yelled.

I watched in fear as Lockdown brutally swung Bee to the ground.

"It's my fight and you're all going to die," his deep voice bellowed.

He shot at my dad who quickly jumped over a pile of wooden boxes. I ran over to one of the broken walls, the hook still in my hands. I grabbed onto one of the chains in the wall and hooked it on.

"Go! Go!" I yelled at Jason.

He drove past Optimus and around Lockdown trying to restrict the bot's legs with the chain. I heard the pull from the chain and saw Lockdown topple over. He recovered quickly though and began stabbing the ground by my dad as he was shot at. Jason backed the truck over to me. I quickly grabbed the hook and ran over towards Optimus.

"Get away! All of you!" he yelled, as I climbed up onto the back of another wrecker's flatbed.

I made my way to the very top of the truck, only stopping to watch my dad and Lockdown. Turning back, I jumped towards Optimus, hooking the chain onto his sword. I landed on the ground in front of him and looked at Jason.

"DRIVE!" I yelled at him.

The tires of the truck screeched as he sped off. I heard Optimus grunt as the sword was yanked out of his chest. I rolled over and saw him jump up off the ground, catching the sword in his hand as he did so. He spun around and jumped before plunging the sword into Lockdown's chest. Sparks flew everywhere as Lockdown fell to the ground. In one movement, Optimus jerked the sword upward, slicing Lockdown in half. I stood up slowly as he tossed the robots remains to the side.

"YES!" I heard Jason yell from behind me.

Optimus turned and faced my dad.

"Honor to the end," he spoke.

I smiled at the blue and red mech, before turning to Gracie and Jason, engulfing them in a hug. I released them and turned back to Optimus and followed his attention towards the mechs that were starting to surround us.

"Come on," I said to Gracie and Jason before running over to Optimus and my dad.

"Quickly. I'm setting up Lockdown's grenade. Hold tight," Optimus said as he took us into his large hand.

Suddenly, we were flying through the air. The bot's on the ground being destroyed by the grenade. We flew over the city before Optimus landed. As soon as we were on the ground, I jumped from Optimus' hand and engulfed my dad in a tight hug.

"Kinda nice being the hero for a change," my dad said.

I chuckled.

"You always were. All of my life," I said as I cried in his arms.

"I love you," he responded back to me.

I hugged him tighter.

"I love you, dad," I told him.

He released me.

"Let's go home to graduation, huh?" he asked me.

I nodded and moved a piece of hair out of my face. He then turned to Jason and Gracie and hugged them both before pulling me back in with his free arm. I smiled and hugged them. Home. Graduation. The thought made me happy until I realized we no longer had a home.

"We don't have a home, dad. It blew up," I breathed out.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Joshua walking towards us.

"I think I might be able to help you with that," he told us.

My dad released us all before running up and embracing him. I turned my attention to the gates where Bee was racing through. I smiled, thankful that he was okay.

"Brave warriors, you are free!" I heard Optimus say to the four Dinobots over in the field.

"I'll ride with you anytime, Spike," Crosshairs exclaimed.

The bots then transformed, letting out a loud roar before running off into the distance. The sound of Optimus' deep baritone voice caused me to turn to him. I watched as he waved the seed around and took it into his hand.

"This seed belongs to our creators, whoever they are. There remains a price on my head. I endanger you all if I stay. I shall take it where it can never be found," he explained.

My dad stared at him before slowly inching towards him.

"Will we ever see you again?" my dad asked. His voice was trembling which meant that he was about to cry.

Optimus looked down to my father before speaking.

"Joseph Stalin, I do not know. But, whenever you look to the stars, think of one of them as my soul," he said to my father.

He looked to his Autobots before speaking again.

"Defend this family, Autobots, as they have you. Defend all they can be," he commanded before launching off into the sky.

I watched his figure get smaller and smaller as he departed Earth's atmosphere. My dad turned back to me and smiled, the tears in his eyes just threatening to spill over. I gave him a small smile before walking up and hugging him, Jason and Gracie doing the same. I released them and walked over to my favorite yellow bot. He looked down at me as I approached him.

"So, I guess we'll be seeing a lot of each other now," I chuckled.

He crouched down to my level and gave me his version of a smile.

"You got that right-little lady," he said.

I laughed.

"Oh, and thank you, Bee," I said to him.

He gave me a confused look which caused me to giggle.

"For what?" he asked.

I smiled again.

"For keeping your promise," I told him.

His face lit up in realization.

"Anytime. Thank you for-keeping yours," he responded.

"Of course, Bee," I said to him with a grin on my face before turning around and walking back to my family and my best friend.

"So, dad..how are we going to explain this to Lynleigh?" I asked him.

He just looked at me.

"You know, maybe we won't have too," Jason said.

I raised my brow at him.

"I'm pretty sure she's not stupid, Jason," Gracie said.

I laughed. Jason glared at the both of us.

"What? I'm just saying. She's not gonna come home to no home and not think that something happened. And I'm pretty sure she's been trying to call for days, and she's most likely freaking out that none of you have answered the phone," she said.

"Well, what about your parents?" I asked her.

Her face scrunched up at that causing me to chuckle.

"Oh well. I'll explain it to them sooner or later. I'm just almost positive that once I tell them everything, they'll never let me come visit you again," she laughed.

"Eh, they love me, so I'm not really worried about it, but hey, at least you're not dead. Now, that would be really hard to explain to them," I told her.

She smiled at me before hugging me tightly. After a moment she released me and I walked over to stand beside my dad.

"You know, your mom would be proud of you," he told me while wrapping an arm around my shoulder.

I smiled and nodded. I hugged my dad as I watched the sun set over the horizon. She had been right. Everything was going to be okay now and this was just the start.
