P. S- i think this is how Damian reacted when he hold his first born son,  Casimir. Casimir is an empath,  like his mother,  a sponge that absorb emotion around him including ghost which result of having nightmare and become insomiac.
Instead of crying for unable to sleep he went to batcave hang out with his father, playing chess,  training and learning some brain teasers or riddle by the criminal for his father to solve.  On morning,  Raven teach him to meditate and stabilize his energy shield to prevent him from absorbing more emotion surrounding.       Although he's been train perfectly by his father still,  he doesn't want to use violence to solve because of his morale code. Therefore during the fight,  he prefer to teleport the enemy to somewhere isolation such as jail,  army camp, gangster slump and etc. Unless in dire situation where his magic depleted,  he'll have to use his strength to achieve his objective which is saving people's life.
