Okay so!!! I realized Shieldy doesn't have anything to hold him with?? Like you know shields are carried and stuff, but Shieldy doesn't have anything like that. So I messed around with the idea a bit.

One could just grab him by the grips(?) and hold/use him. Party Hat is also there bc I remembered he can be grabbed by the streamers and I thought that fit well with this.
