'Woah, we just said that we loved each other' I thought to myself.

I sat down at the table and Steve put a plate of waffles in front of me.

"Eat up. "

I wasn't really hungry so I just picked up my fork and just played around with my food. I noticed that Steve was looking at me and he looked worried.

"What's wrong. " He asked.

"Nothing. "

"Don't say it's nothing because it's obviously something. "

"It's just that i've been here for a month now and I'm just a little homesick. I just want to go back to D.C. The problem is that I don't want to leave you and you don't want me to leave so I.... I don't know what to do. "

"If you really want to go home then I'll just go with you. I'm sure I can find a place there."

"Really. You would do that for me?"

"I would do anything for you. I love you."

He got up from the table and came to where I was sitting. He grabbed my hand picked me up from my chair and gave me a hug.

He finally got me to eat and when we both finished our breakfast we started packing. I told him that he could stay with me until he found a place of his own, but he probably won't leave and we'll end up living together after only about a month of dating, which is weird.

I'm finally back in D.C. and it's great. When I came home the first thing I did was give Hunter a big hug and kiss. I missed him so much and he missed me too. It was so great being in my own home again, my own bed. I didn't feel homesick anymore.

It's been a week since I came back and Steve has his own apartment. It's really nice, he likes it a lot and it's only about a few miles from my house.

I was outside with Hunter when my phone started ringing. I brought him inside and answered the phone.

"Hello? "

"It's Nat. We have a mission. Is Steve with you?

"No. He went out for a jog."

"Okay. Get ready because I'm coming to get you and then we're going to get him."

"Okay. "

I hung up the phone and waited for Nat. I was already dressed. I had on black jeans, a purple T-shirt, black converse, a leather jacket and my black beanie.

Nat pulled up in black sports car. I got in and we left to go get Steve. When we found him he was talking to someone. I got out, Nat stayed in the car, and I went to get Steve.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey."

There was a moment of silence and then Steve introduced me to his new friend.

"Oh! This is Sam. Sam this is Julie."

"Hey. Sam Wilson." He said with a smile.

"Barton, Julianne Barton. I'm Steve's girlfriend."

"Guys let's go, we have a schedule to keep!" Nat yelled from the car.

"Duty calls." Steve said to Sam as he grabbed my hand.

We went back to the car and Steve sat in the passengers seat, which meant that I had to sit in the back. Yay.

We stopped in front of a quinjet. Nat and I had to change into our catsuits before getting into the jet. We got in and it took off. Inside was a group of shield agents. Among that group was Rumlow. He briefed us on our mission. We had to go on a ship, stop a bunch of pirates, and save hostages from a ship called The Lumerian Star. We all certain things to do. Steve had to take out the leader, Nat would secure the engine room, and I would help Rumlow with getting the hostages out. Steve was supposed to leave first. He kissed me first then he opened the door and jumped out, without a parachute.

Nat, Rumlow, the other agents and I actually did put on parachutes. As we jumped out of the jet I saw Steve fighting. We landed in front of him and separated from each other.

I was fighting people that got in my way, while Rumlow stayed behind me.

"I hope you know that I'm not gonna do all the work."

"Oh. I know."

I was kicking people, punching them, and shooting them with arrows.

We finally made our way to where the hostages were being held. We waited for Steve's order and went in. We got them out and loaded them onto the jet, but Nat and Steve were still on the ship. I heard an explosion. About three minutes after it Steve and Nat came aboard. They both had dust all over their faces.

"Are you okay?" I asked them.

"Yea. We're fine. Nat just blew up the ship, but otherwise we're completely fine."

I went over to Nat and she looked like she did something wrong. I gave her a hug and she looked a little happier.

Then I went over to Steve and I helped him wipe the dust over his face. When I did he thanked me and gave me a hug and a kiss.

We made it to shield headquarters and landed the jet. Steve left to go talk to Fury. Nat and I went to the weapon room.

As we were putting our things away Nat started talking to me.

"It's nice what your doing Steve."

"What am I doing?"

"Your keeping him happy and I'm a relationship with someone he really loves and who really loves him."

"I do really love him."

"If you two weren't together I would be trying to set him up with someone right now."

"He...uh....he told me about a previous relationship that he had when he was in the war. He said that her name was Peggy and that he left her to save people. He had a date with her, but he was asleep for seventy years. I just.... I felt so bad that he was hurt. He said that it was the first time he fell in love."

"Well now he's in love with you. You keep him fighting for the world. You are his happiness now, his life. He loves you so much."

"I just feel that one day I'm gonna hurt him and I don't want that to happen."

"I'm sure that you won't hurt him. If you love him as much as he loves you, then you can never hurt him."

I started to cry because how much he meant to me. I don't know what's wrong. I just feel like I'm gonna hurt him one of these days. I feel like if I leave him, he's never going to let another person into his life and that he'll never love someone again.

Nat walked over to me and hugged me until I stopped crying.

I couldn't face seeing Steve like this. So I just changed out of my catsuit, put my regular clothes on and then went home. I needed to get this out of my head so I took a nap.

My nap was interrupted by a phone call from Natasha. Director Fury was in the hospital.
