a/n: woosan chapter!!
it was now tuesday. the day which san dreaded yet waited for.
"oh, god. what if i mess up?" he panicked to his friends.
"i mean, i'm not bringing you down but you probably will." yeosang bluntly claimed, making mingi hit his head.
"don't listen to him. you guys are friends now. that's a start!" the red head cheered for him.
"if you make a move now, you'll probably be more than friends." jongho wiggled his eyebrows at his hyung.
san heated up at the statement but rolled his eyes at his dearest pals. "it'll probably ruin us being friends."
he sighed deeply.
it was the day he was going to wooyoung's apartment because they were apparently practicing for their their upcoming practical test.
they also planned to have dinner there, being what they cook their meals.
"san!" he heard wooyoung call for him, so he turned around. he smiled and waved.
they had gotten a lot closer after the silver haired came back from the trip. it made the two happy since san have always wanted to be friends with the other, and wooyoung has been trying to get his attention ever since the beginning of sophomore year.
"looks like we have to let you go now." the tallest patted his back. "good luck."
"thanks." he breathed in heavily.
wooyoung jogged to him. he greeted the group and put his attention back to san. "are you ready?"
"yep. let's go."
he said goodbye to the three, jongho and yeosang having teasing looks while mingi just gave him a thumbs up. it looks like they didn't see the call of help in his eyes.
the walk to his apartment wasn't awkward or anything, even though the two were feeling very nervous. for different reasons, of course.
"so, what do you plan on making?" san asked for a conversation starter.
making you mine. "i was thinking cinnamon sugar puffs. since you were going to make a caramel and pear mousse cake, might as well make something sweet."
the raven haired smiled and wooyoung saw this. he fought back the urge to just blurt out the three words right now.
"we're here." the younger announced.
the two went inside after taking off their shoes. "nice place."
san looked around the apartment and it wasn't exactly what he expected it to be.
he thought the silver haired would have a messy vibe to the room but it was the complete opposite. it was neat and everything was properly organized.
little does he know, it was the first time wooyoung cleaned up by himself, without his best friends nagging him, because he wanted to impress his guest.
both boys took out their aprons, and wore them. "should we start?"
san hummed, but then his face changed to looking unsure. "uh, wooyoung? where are the ingredients?" he sheepishly asked.
wooyoung wanted to slap himself forgetting. "ah, right."
he went over to the fridge. "i did groceries last sunday and here are yours." he took out everything they needed, including the materials.
"thank you!" san cheered as he studied the components of his dish. "how much do i owe you?"
wooyoung waved his hand, declining the offer. "no, no. it's on me. don't worry."
"but i-" the older protested, only to
be cut off.
"sanshinee. please?" that nickname always made san agree to anything the other said.
it was a name wooyoung made for him after saying that he was a walking ball of sunshine.
he eyed the silver haired skeptically. "are you really sure?"
wooyoung just vigorously nodded.
"t-tell me when you need the money back." it was the little actions like this that made him fall for the younger even more. and boy, was he scared.
having a crush from a far was fine, but actually thinking that you have a chance with him was exhausting.
they did what they needed to practice, corrected what they thought was wrong, and over all improved the quality of the dishes they were preparing.
in the end, both desserts were successes.
"that looks great, san!" wooyoung cheered.
san just scratched his head, loving the compliments. "let's just hope it tastes fine as well. yours looks amazing, too!"
"can i have a bite?" the grey headed male asked with sparkling eyes.
even though he was a little hesitant, there was no way san couldn't allow the boy to. "please don't throw up."
he pushed the plate towards the other but wooyoung only stared at him. "ah~" he opened his mouth.
it took a while for the black haired boy to figure out what he was doing. he wanted to be fed.
"san, ah~" wooyoung opened his mouth wider.
it took san not to burst of emotions at that very moment. he was blushing, nothing new but this time, he felt like his crush was doing it on purpose.
he took a piece of his dessert while trying not to shake and fed it to boy waiting.
wooyoung chewed it. he had always had a mastery of flavors. he enjoys eating just as much as he likes cooking.
and the food that was put in his mouth was spectacular.
"you should really give more credit yourself. this is amazing!" he exclaimed and swallowed it. "can i have more?"
"j-just feed yourself."
wooyoung gave an eye smile. "you wanna try mine?" he pulled his plate closer. "here."
san was about to swoop one of the cinnamon puffs but the silver haired boy beat him to it. "say ah~"
if he managed to hide how he was flustered a while ago, he's definitely failing now. he could actually feel himself transforming into a tomato.
despite the intense emotions, he managed to comply to what the younger said and ate the food that was fed to him.
"is it fine?" wooyoung was always confident when it come to his food but impressing san was a different case.
the ravenette widened his eyes. "now, i get why you're always first."
satisfied, wooyoung grinned. "oh, stop."
"i'm serious! this the best!"
-
after finishing up their meals, it was getting a bit late so wooyoung told his guest that he can go home.
"i'll help you clean up first." san offered willingly.
"really?"
"yeah. i already told my mom i'll be home late."
hiding the fact that this made him extra happy, the silver haired nodded. "then, i'll go wash the dishes while you clean the counter?"
"okay." san agreed, taking out some rugs.
while cleaning up, the two found it hard to stay quiet. not because the silence was unbearable but because the two were just very talkative in general.
all they could hear were the faucet running, and the plates and utensils getting placed in the cabinet.
"so, any reason why you chose mousse cakes?" wooyoung started.
"not really. they seemed interesting so i wanted to try them out." the dark haired replied as he threw away unwanted mess. "you? why specifically cinnamon puffs?"
"well, i heard from mingi they were your favorites." the host said thoughtlessly.
this made san halt his movements. first of all, he asked for what i liked? second, he made those because they were my favorites?
"o-oh." he shook his head to gain back his senses. "um, what are your favorites?"
"well, there are actually a lot of things that i like." wooyoung said as he put soap on the the dishes.
"i bet." the older giggled. "mind telling me a few?"
"well, for starters. i'm a huge harry potter fan." the younger informed.
"ooh. i only watched the movies." san unconsciously made a mental note to himself.
"i like my hair parted four to six ratio." wooyoung stated, mentally preparing himself for what was about to come.
"i guess your looks aren't so effortless, huh?" san teased which made both of them laugh.
well, here goes nothing. "i also like how your dimples show everytime you smile."
san was obviously taken a back by the comment and started blushing furiously. "u-uh, thanks."
"i like the way you get flustered over small things, it's so cute." wooyoung continued as he poured out his feelings, turning off the faucet.
"i love your duality so much." he kept saying and the raven haired could only stare into thin air.
"if i wasn't obvious enough, i like you, choi san." he finished and made his way behind the older.
san turned around slowly and their distance was fatally close. the words doesn't seem to process in the other's mind as he just blinked.
"w-what?" he stammered.
"i like you, ever since the beginning of this year." the silver haired boy confessed.
"b-but.. wait, how? huh?" the ravenette lets out in a breathy manner.
"i mean, you're not so subtle with your actions." wooyoung chuckled. "that made it even more adorable."
"y-you knew?" san shyly asked.
the grey haired only smiled.
"um, uh.." the older stuttered when unable to comprehend what was happening.
his two year crush, who he never even thought he would be friends with, or that they'd be close enough to be hanging out in his apartment, just confessed to him.
jung wooyoung fucking confessed to him.
the younger continued eating. "you don't have to answer now. but, i am asking you out on a date."
san's mouth was still agaped. wooyoung liked him back?
"san?"
"huh? oh, yeah. um, i- " the boy felt anxiousness rush over him. "b-but what if people find out?" he wasn't worried about himself. the concern was for wooyoung.
the silver haired simply shook his head as if telling him not to worry. "let them think what they think. i'm not denying the fact that i like you anymore."
he stepped closer towards the shocked boy leaning against the counter. "that is, if you're okay with it."
san's breathed in deeply and finally managed to look him in the eyes. "of course, it is. i was talking about you."
"i'm fine as long as you accept my date." wooyoung cooed cheesily.
the ravenette inhaled again. "jung wooyoung, will you be my boyfriend?"
the younger licked his lips. "i don't know. will i?" he teased as he cupped san's burning cheeks.
"s-stop teasing me." san tried to look mad but happiness was taking over him. "my friends t-told me i didn't have the guts to ask you out."
"you're so cute." wooyoung pinched his nose, making san pout.
seeing this, the younger slowly leaned in for a kiss. san automatically closed his eyes as he felt a pair of lips on his.
it was short, but meaningful. wooyoung pulled away first but remained connecting their foreheads.
"everytime you pout, it makes me want to kiss you so now i'm doing it since i'm your boyfriend." he said in the most casual way he can despite his heart jumping out of his ribcage.
san's eyes lit up. "is that a yes?"
"you want another kiss?" wooyoung whispered with a smirk.
"no!" the older exclaimed but then, took it back. "i mean, yes, i mean-"
a/n: the amount of times san stuttered:')
