Second update for today.

Bondita went to Anirudh's room and saw him sleeping.Anirudh had covered his face with a comforter.
Should i wake him up? Will he get more mad ? But if i don't talk to him , then how will i sleep?

"Pati babu! Pati babu! " Bondita whispered ,but Anirudh didnt budge. She removed his covers from his face, and poked his cheek. Anirudh stirred in his sleep but didn't wake up . Bondita hovered over him and whispered, "Pati babu! Pati babu!".

As soon as Anirudh opened his eyes, he got scared to see bondita hovering over him and shouted," Aaahhh".

"Shh ..shh pati babu its me. Bondita"said bondita putting palm on Anirudh's mouth. Anirudh closed his eyes in relief and removed her hand from his mouth.

"What do you want? You scared me. " Said Anirudh sitting on the bed while keeping his hand on his heart as if calming it.

"I've come to talk to you about one , no no two things ."said bondita raising her index and middle finger .

"What things? That too at midnight?"

"I couldn't sleep without talking about it."

"Speak."

"Are you mad at me?"

Anirudh pressed his lips in a thin line and laid down again and pulled the comforter again on his face
"Go from here. I don't want to talk about anything. I'm sleepy."

Bondita took the comforter and removed it from his body. " No ,first listen to me."

"Give it back. Let me sleep."

"No."

"I said give it back."

Anirudh and bondita started a tug of war with the comforter.
Anirudh said, " ok fine, if you will give it back, I'll listen to you "

Bondita immediately left the comforter and Anirudh fell on the floor with the comforter." Aahhhh!! You!!"

"What ! You only said give it."

Anirudh balled his fast and stood up and sat on the bed. " Just say whatever you want and leave. "

"First tell me are you mad at me."

"Yes"

"Why"

"You are asking me why. You put our kitchen on fire and had the audacity to ask why. Even after fire, you were not coming out from the kitchen. Why?? Imagine what would have happened , if the fire would have spread much. Why were you even in the kitchen in the first place?"said Anirudh bursting like a volcano.

"I am sorry. I didn't do it intentionally. I was just picking up the utensil with a cloth and it caught fire and then other cloth caught fire and the fire became big."

"And why would you need to do that? You should have asked maa?"

"Dida told me to cook food all on my own. That's why i was in the kitchen . she denied maa to help me. I was protecting my food from burning that's why i didn't come out soon. Maa said i made good food."

"You should have told dida that you didn't know how to cook food. "

"I said that i knew how to make food yesterday because maa had told me to agree to whatever she says".

"You lied to dida?"

"Yes , I had to , otherwise she would have scolded maa that maa didn't teach me anything. How could I've let that happen? But you didn't listen to me . You shouted and shouted like a mad man. Pagol! You should have listened to my side too . You can't decide who is wrong and who is right just by looking at one aspect of the situation".
Bondita was talking while keep her hand at her waist.
Anirudh couldn't help but smile at this.
"Why are you smiling? Is this a joke going on? "Asked bondita.

"No, you argue like a barrister."

"Bistar what is that"

"No not bistar .say barrister ."

"Birister "

"Ohho say bay-ris-ter."

"Bay-ris-ter . Birister ."

"Uff whatever."

"By the way, what is a birister?"

"Umm ..how do i explain. See just like now you proved your point that you were completely not at fault for the fire in the kitchen. Similarly barristers prove their points to give justice to other people .They speak from their side. They argue to give justice to the victim and punishment to the criminal."

"How do you know so much about it?"

"Because i want to be a barrister when i grow up. I want to change the society for good. People have the habit of saying , this should not have happened, things should be like that and so on. But nobody dares to correct it. They just go with the flow. I want to go against the flow to change the wrong things."

"Woww!! You think so different than all of us."

"Ok what is the second thing you wanted me to tell?"

"I want you to convince dida to send me to the school. She will stay for 10 days. I can't miss my school for 10 days. Exams will be arriving soon. What if i lag behind again? No. No no."

"But why should i? You ask her. Or tell maa or kaka to talk to her."

"Because she will listen to you. She thinks I am your servant and you are my master." Bondita made a disgusted face."You are the apple of her eye." Bondita mimicked in dida's voice." If you say that you want an educated wife. She will listen to you and send me to school."

"So you agree you are my servant and i am your master?"

"Huh! in your dreams. I am asking this as a favour .i will return it soon. I will do one task of your liking in exchange." Anirudh tried to control his laughter listening to this wierd barter system.
"Moreover , you only said that you want to give justice to the victim. I am the victim here. I am denied the right to education just because i am a girl. You are anyways going to speak for people's justice in the future. Then why not start from now. As they say charity begins at home."

"Hmm.. valid point. Ok i will talk to dida. Now go and let me sleep. We have school tomorrow. If i succeed in convincing dida, you will also have to wake up early and go to school. "

"Ok. Good night."

"Goodnight."

Bondita went to her room smiling feeling light.
She laid on the bed and closed her eyes , a smile adorning on her lips, waiting for the next morning.
"Birister," she whispered.
