Moonshadow was given up by her father, a loner named Stone, when she was barely a moon old. Back then, she was known as Moon until she was given her apprentice name. She and her litter mates always wondered who their father and mother was. They were prophesied to save the clans from a terrible war. Her brother and sister were given to a different clan because of this Prophecy and the clans didn't want Moon's clan to be the only one with these powerful cats.

When Moonshadow became an apprentice she and her siblings met for the first time in more than five moons. They bonded quickly but stayed fiercely loyal to their clans. The cats prevented a terrible war.

Moonshadow became more than just part of that prophecy. She is constantly reached by Starclan and is often part of important prophecies. She's a feared enemy and a loyal ally.
