CHAPTER TWENTY NINE

"And," Kali looked over at Clay as he drove them down a busy street. The two had been hanging out more and more over the last month and in full honestly clicked right away. Obviously Clay was extremely excited about this because his dream, haha get it, girl at least enjoyed his company. Kali on the other hand was taking it day by day. Then again they were dating so it was clear they liked each other, it was clear they were both idiots. And they had both been told this by all of their friends. "This  is home." Clay told her as he pulled into a long driveway and Kali looked away from him only to see a massive building in front of her. It seemed to be one out of the tv shows that were made for rich people to only show off what they had compared to the public. Kali stared at the house as Clay waited for a reaction.

"Home." Kali repeated as she opened her door when Clay put the car in park, having taken the two to the garage. A garage that could probably fit five cars. She looked at him but still didn't know how to react. She knew he was wealthy, but not this wealthy. This was like celebrity sort of wealthy.

"Yep," Clay nodded as he met her on the other side of the car. He always tried to open the door to the car to let her out but she told him it was dumb for him to rush when she could do it herself. He still tried nonetheless. "Let me show you around." He said and took her hand, leading her to a door which he easily unlocked before stepping inside.

"You live in a fucking mansion." The words spilled out of Kali's mouth as she stepped inside and glanced around. Clay let out a little laugh, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink as he closed the door behind them. He had learned the hard way not to leave the door open.

"Yeah, I guess." He tried to play it cool but was a little nervous as to what she would think of him know that she knew his living situation.

"I live in an apartment building that might crumble at any sudden movement." Kali laughed a little as she stepped further into the house, taking her shoes off and leaving them by the door. She did the same at her house due to the fact that she didn't want to drag mud in. She turned and looked at the expensive art and furniture that was around. As well as the clutter that was somewhat hidden but it still showed that there was a group of boys who were living in the house.

"Hey," Clay grinned as he made his way to the kitchen with Kali following after him and she crossed her arms as she looked at him. "Don't diss on your apartment like that," He told her with a small laugh because despite him having the money, he remembered the days when he lived in a little apartment of his own. This first videos were recorded there. "It's homey." He said and Kali gave him a deadpan look.

"I bet you call your whole ass mansion homey." Kali said to him as she leaned against the door frame, glancing around the kitchen. She felt a little overwhelmed, knowing that most of the stuff in the room if not all was very expensive.

"I very much would." Clay nodded with a grin on his face that made Kali roll her eyes jokingly. She glanced around the house and saw that there was a picture of the three boys from the first day they saw each other in a frame. She smiled at how happy they looked and how they decided to frame it, it was cute. "That's it, I'm going to hang out with Goggles." She informed him and a confused expression crossed Clay's face.

"Goggles?" Clay repeated and thought over the name some more as Kali stepped back into the living room with Clay right behind her. "Oh, George." He said when he managed to connect the name to the person who lived in the house.

"Yeah, him." Kali waved her hand a little, jokingly pushing him away as she looked around the house still amazed and shocked by it. "At least he doesn't insult my home." She shot him a fake glare which made Clay roll his eyes at the comment.

"I didn't?" He says and Kali turns so the man wouldn't be able to see the bright grin that was on her face. She looked up at the high ceiling for a second and saw a chandler that was over the middle of the living room. She then looked over her shoulder, stuck her tongue out at the man before heading towards one of the halls so she could go hang out with someone else. "You are going the wrong way."

"Fuck you. I hate," Kali turned to face him, holding up her middle fingers but she stopped talking mid sentence when something else walked into the room. Kali's eyes widened as she looked from Patches and then to Clay a grin slowly appearing on her face. "Pussy." She simply said and turned towards the cat that was looking at her.

"Leave Patches alone," Clay laughed a little as he tried to shoo the cat away but Patches eyes didn't move off of the girl. Kali shot Clay a grin and stepped towards the cat with no hesitation and Clay watched the girl do so. "She'll scratch you." He warned with a small laugh as Kali reached for the cat, carefully lifting it into her arms with a smug grin on her face.

"Bullshit." Kali said as the cat snuggled into her arms and Clay stared at how she had so easily been able to pick up his cat while it took him and the others at least twenty minutes to trap her so they could just hold her. "Don't gate keep her." She told Clay as she lightly ran her finger up and down the bridge of the cats nose, getting a purr from the cozy cat.

"Nick can't even get to pick her up." Clay said with a frown as he walked to Kali's side to try to pet his cat but Patches's eyes opened the second that he was close enough to touch her. Kali stepped back with a grin across her face and Clay stared at his cat in disbelief.

"Well," Kali said as she looked down at Patches and then to Clay who was still seeming to be in a state of betrayal from her so easily stealing his pet. "I'm better then Nick." She told Clay with a grin across her face.

"I heard my name?" Kali and Clay looked over to see a brunette staring at them both, a look of confusion on his face but it was quickly replaced with a mischievous grin. Kali raised her eyebrows a little looking Nick while Clay sighed a little. "Oh shit." Nick laughed as he stepped out of the room, looking at the two with the biggest grin on his face. Then he called up the stairs. "George he did it!" He shouted and there was the sound of quick movement upstairs.

"No he didn't!" Someone, George, called back down and there was the sound of him coming down the stairs with loud footsteps.

"He did!" Nick laughed and suddenly another figure appeared in the kitchen by Nick's side. It was clear that he also had a massive grin on his face as he looked from Clay then to the blond girl standing at his side, holding a now sleeping Patches in her arms.

"I hate you both." Clay sighed as he reached to pet his cat and this time he was able to do so without Kali or Patches moving away from him in the process.

"I'm so confused." Kali simply said as she looked at the group.
