Youngjae had fallen in love at first sight.

It wasn't the hair or the looks.

It was the sight of how passionate he was in the same thing Youngjae loved.

The sight of him nailing that highest note he had ever made. The smile he had on his face after being satisfied with his improvement. The sweat that glistened on his forehead was just an added bonus. It just proved how much effort he had put in.

He was Jung Daehyun.

Somehow, I managed to convince Youngjae into telling the others and coming up with a plan to confess to him during this trip. Quoting, that he 'couldn't take it anymore and needed Dae to at least know his feelings'.

When we went back to the car, the others didn't seem to realise our long absence and did not question us too. I could sense something was weird but did not know why. At that moment, Daehyun spoke up.

"Hey guys.. I need to go somewhere for a while. I will be back real quick!"

As Daehyun ran off, Youngjae and I glanced at each other, knowing it was the best moment to tell them. I silently mouthed a 'fighting!' and he then confessed to the rest. Fortunately, everyone reacted with smiles and encouraged Youngjae.

"YES MY SHIP IS SAILING! I'M IN!" Himchan shouted as he hugged Youngjae and even slapped his shoulder, teasing him.

"You can do it hyung! Why not confess to him later at our evening location?" Jongup said as if he recited the lines of a script and proceeded to nudge Zelo.



"Oh yeah! Remember how much he talked about the sunset and how he wished someone would confess to him like that?? Gosh it's perfect!!"

At the corner of my eye, I saw Yongguk smiling as he watched the sight and slowly approached Youngjae. With his gummy smile stretching from ear to ear, he hugged Youngjae tightly, whispering into his ear a 'You can do it!'. Yongguk was like the father figure to Youngjae. Because of all the support Youngjae got, he felt really courageous and glad.



"Hey what's going on? By the way I got some raw meat to barbecue when we get to the camp site! Oh and here, some popcorn chicken for Jae~ It was the only cooked meat I could get. Cheer up!" Daehyun reached the bag out towards Youngjae.

In that moment, Youngjae was so overwhelmed with emotions he hugged Daehyun and thanked him. Daehyun was surprised at his action and the tint of pink in his cheeks grew more noticeably.

Somehow, our road trip ended up having locations where we grew up. Since we ended the day in Busan, the campsite we decided on was the Busan beach.

It was almost 5, about 40 mins away from the sunset. Trying to execute the plan as perfect as we could, we quickly set up the tents and cooked some food.

Soon, the members and I excused ourselves saying that we needed to get more groceries and left Youngjae and Daehyun alone. As I eyed Youngjae to support him, I noticed Daehyun too seemed to be communicating with the members. I was confused but dismissed it again.

When we got back, the lovebirds were hugging each other and acted lovey dovey.

When I asked Youngjae how it went, all Youngjae could say was:
"He knew."
