That lucky fangirl (HS)

This was the day. You were finally meeting your favorite band, you had managed to win a ticket to go to their fan-sign, you still didn't think all of this was real, you weren't sure when all of this was going to sink in. As you eagerly awaited in a line outside with other winners, you checked for the umpteenth time that you had everything with you. You had brought small gifts for every member and a few extra things for your favorite member, Hobi, they were all in your backpack still.

As soon as you started to feel impatient, the guard at the door of the meeting room signaled the first person in line to come forward, there were two other people checking everyone's belongings before letting them in right next to the door. When the person in front of you grabbed their purse and entered the room, you moved to where the control lady was and placed your backpack on the table. "Do you have anything I should know about, madam?" she said as she opened the zipper. "Just a few gifts for the band, accessories and letters" you said not being able to stand still from the excitement. The lady handed you your backpack and told you you could walk in.

As you did, you instantly looked at the long table, where all seven members were sitting, smiling and waving at the fans as they came in. Again, you had to wait until everyone was inside to begin with the meeting. At least you could take a close look at them now. Your eyes sparkled and you weren't sure if you wanted to cry or scream, so you opted for internally screaming. You were smiling from ear to ear, you could not help it. All this was so surreal. You were in the same room as BTS, something you had only dreamed of and had never believed would become a reality.

You observed the members one by one, as they played with the papers and pens in front of them, sent out little hearts to fans or made cute faces for those who were taking photos. Hobi was the last one at the far right of the table, when you looked at him, he was very serious. You giggled at his expression though, as he seemed to have zoned out.

His eyes suddenly moved and he looked back at the fans, a tired smile on his face. The silly grin you had plastered on your face caught his eye, he grinned back and winked at you. You gasped, was he really looking at you? You turned your head around and saw no one behind you, you looked back and Hobi was chuckling at your reaction, your face went bright red. This didn't start off well, you'd made a fool out of yourself. You decided to look straight ahead and tried to keep your face relaxed, even though your heart was pounding. Your mind was crazy trying to process what had just happened.

Once everyone was inside, they explained the procedure and let the first seven people through. You had to walk to the first member and you had time to talk to them until the person next to you moved to the one on their right, this was your sign to move to the next member on the right as well. This way, everything would go smoothly. You were not allowed to touch, hug them or get individual photos with them, which you knew, but still were a little bummed to hear. At least you could take pictures while you waited for your turn to go up to the table.

Your turn came and you took a deep breath as you felt light-headed. Yoongi looked at you concerned and then looked at the guard, but despite you stumbling, you made your way up alright. The guard mid-reaching out to you to keep you from falling. Great, you were turning out to be the biggest fool. Yoongi was first, you greeted him excitedly and set your backpack on the table, not without asking if it was ok first. As you fumbled inside it to find his gift, he looked at you with curiosity.

You pulled out a furry headband, small curly brown ears falling from its sides. Yoongi grinned as he grabbed them and placed them on his head saying - how do I look? - with a gummy smile. You smiled back and replied - I'm so happy you like them, I know you get a lot of cat ears, so I thought you might prefer matching ears with Min Holly - you blushed as you pursed your lips awkwardly. Thank you, I do get a lot of cat ears, that's true - he said as he looked at the photobook you were holding in your hand - do you want me to sign that for you? You opened it on the page you had marked with Yoongi's photo and he scribbled quickly, as he saw the fan next to you moving on to the next member. He handed you the photobook back and waved at you as you waved back.

You gave each one of the members a different headband and opened their pages for them to sign, exchanged a few words and moved on. You were by the sixth member on the table now, Taehyung. When you moved to him, you glanced at Hobi with a concerned face. Hello there! What is your name? - Tae asked, making you turn his attention to him as you handed him the photobook. You told him your name as you pulled out a striped headband with fluffy tiger ears out of your backpack, which was almost empty by now. Did you make this? - he asked as he reached out to take them. I did, I didn't want something that anyone could buy - you said as he wiggled his eyebrows at you and put on the headband. You are very talented, thank you for coming - he said as you realized the fan next to you was stepping down from the wooden platform and walking away.

You tried not to hyperventilate as you turned around and briefly walked up to Hobi. You stared at him blushing and realized you had suddenly lost your ability to talk. Hobi grinned, his head tilted. Hi - he said as he put his hands below his chin in a "V" shape and made a cute face for you, trying to make you feel more comfortable. You giggled and once again opened your backpack, pulling out a bag from inside.

You have a really cute smile - he said and caught you off guard, you looked up from what you were doing and met his eyes, it's like they smiled, if that was even possible. Still seeing he couldn't get a word out of you, he continued - from when you were standing back there - he said as he pointed in the general direction where he had caught you grinning like an idiot, he really was looking at you then.

You felt dizzy as you opened the bag and started to pull out things. First you pulled out a knitted hat, it was blue with little ears and a purple "mane" that went down the center of the back to the nape of the neck, a flap on each side to to keep the ears warm. Hobi looked at it excitedly and lowered his head so you could put the hat on him, when you were done, he looked up grinning and moving his head from one side to the other, showing off the mane of his hat. You smiled shyly as he added - this is awesome, I love it, this must have taken you so long!. You pulled out a blue cloth from the bag and you said - there's more. At the sound of your voice, Hobi jerked his head back slightly, you felt the sudden move and looked up -what is it? - he said hoping you wouldn't have noticed.

You held open the blue cloth, it was a face mask with a big pink heart in the center and two black slits. Hobi smiled incredulously from ear to ear and took the mask out of your hands, touching them ever so slightly as he did. His fingers were so soft and warm, you felt your hands were tingling as you took them away. He had put the mask on and was looking at you with those smiling eyes once more - it's Mang! - he said with the cutest, cheeriest voice. You couldn't help but grin as you had before. There we go - he said as he looked at your smile and took the photobook you had placed on the table.

You indicated him to open the book where the green bookmark was and, as he did, an envelope of the same color fell out onto his lap. He quickly reached out and picked it up before it fell to the floor. Oh, t-that is for you too. I wrote it for you - you said in a soft voice. He signed his picture with your name, which was written on the envelope together with your address, closed the book and placed it back on the table. He held up a hand and you were not sure what to do, you high-fived him and he chuckled, wrapping his fingers around yours and shaking your hand. He wanted you to hold his hand, he didn't want a high-five, you felt embarrassed.

As he squeezed your hand, and looked at you, the world seemed to stop for you. Was this even real? It's not like this was uncommon during fan meetings, but it was you, standing here, in front of Hobi, with him holding your hand in the air as his elbow was proped on the table. One of the staff approached Hobi and said something, he nodded and whispered - just a second. You were holding the line, there was no one else to your right, but everyone to your left was waiting. Hobi cleared his throat, which made you look back at him, taking your eyes off of all the people on your left who were looking at you funny.

Thank you so much for all the wonderful gifts, I feel honored. I will make sure to read your letter - he said as he squeezed your hand once more. You grabbed your photobook with your free hand, expecting Hobi to release your other hand as he saw you were picking up your things. He didn't until you grabbed your backpack and threw the strap over your shoulder, slightly tugging your arm away as you did, which made him loosen his grip and let your hand go. His arm now rested on the table as he waved his hand and thanked you by your name. Bye Hobi, thank you! - you said way too happily as you felt your face burn once again and he chuckled before looking away and at the fan that was now standing in front of him.

Hobi put the envelope in the inside pocket of his jacket and waved away the staff who came intending to take the presents he had just received, he was keeping the hat and mask on, he just slid it down below his chin. You furrowed your eyebrows as you looked at what had just happened, usually they gave everything to the staff, including any letters they got, but he kept yours on him.

You were over the moon happy that he had liked everything so much, you didn't feel like you were particularly skilled when it came to knitting or sewing, but he didn't even pay attention to that, he was like a little kid on Christmas day.

You smiled to yourself as your spine shivered when you felt someone was watching you, you looked up and caught Hobi just as he was turning his eyes down to the CD he was signing. Was he looking at you? You shook your head, now you were imagining things. This day was crazy enough and you felt like you were dreaming already anyway, you brushed the feeling off.

As all the fans were done meeting the boys, the guards started guiding them towards the exit. The members again waving goodbye at them and sending little hearts while answering to the many "I love you" and "I purple you" voices that filled the room. You looked back at the table one last time before leaving the room, looking at all the boys, hoping to have one last glimpse of their faces. When you looked at Hobi, he was facing down, as most people were out already, his ear flaps and tiny horse ears hanging down as he still had your hat on. You pouted, but you couldn't complain. This had been the best day ever.

Hobi looked down at his lap, he had taken the green envelope out of his jacket and was eyeing it curiously. It was a shiny sort of paper and it smelled woody and had a hint of citrus, much like the fragrances he liked. Tae looked at him puzzled before he nudged him and told him they were ready to leave. Hobi looked up confused, put the envelope back in his jacket's pocket and scrambled to get all of his things and catch up with Taehyung and the rest of the guys.
