Sorry for slow updates 😭🙏
__________
Jungkook had been restless. After Taehyung's words weeks back and his constant absence, it had been hard for Jungkook to stay focused.
They still didn't head out for missions, mostly just focused on getting Hoseok back on track. The elder male was slowly getting back around, remembering certain things about the guys and the house. Especially Amy was clear in his memory. Of course she was.
"And when you're ready, I would like to tell you who I really am."
Those words were still lingering in Jungkook's mind. What did Taehyung mean by that? Taehyung. Jungkook's eyes widened and he almost jumped up from his bed. He was fully healed by now, so he could come and go as he pleased.
He rushed down the stairs, quickly collecting his shoes and jacket.
"Wow, what's the hurry?" Jin's head popped out from the kitchen, his eyes studied the younger's stressing expression.
"Just need to go to the library," he said. Jin immediately got a hint of why Jungkook was going there of all places. He smiled slightly, glad that Jungkook might actually remember a little from his teenage years in school.
"Have fun," Jin commented, but Jungkook didn't answer, he just hurried out of the door to his car. His mind was on fire as it turned possibilities in his head.
Kim Taehyung.
Where on earth had he heard that name before?
He speeded down the road in the direction of the library, turning a few times before driving into the parking lot. He quickly locked the car and headed inside. There weren't many people there, only a few quietly reading books on sofas around the room.
The raven tried to walk slowly towards the end of the many shelves of all types of books. His finger trails along the edge as his eyes run over the names on the hardcovers.
H...I...J...K...L!
He looked over the L section, his eyes and mind worked on full capacities. His finger suddenly stopped, pointing at a certain hardcovered book. It was very big and had a lot of pages. On the back, there were big letters spelling out the word 'LEGENDS'.
Bingo. Jungkook pulled it out rather calmly and brought it with him to one of the tables in the back of the library. He sat down and got himself comfortable, knowing that this book would take a while to get through.
He opened it up and scanned the pages.
Legends from the 19th century. Legends from the 20th century.
Legends from the 21st century.
Jungkook looked at the line, gulping down. He looked at the page numbers and quickly flicked through the book.
The 21st century has only just begun, yet there are already legends who will be remembered for centuries to come. Both the good and the bad.
Jungkook started reading down. There was a lot about different people who died not too long ago and Jungkook sighed in relief that the book was this up to date. He reads a little further.
His eyes were automatically skimming after certain letters that would make out a certain name. He kept turning the pages over and over, faster and faster. His mind was going hardwire and his heart was beating heavily beneath his rips.
Then he saw it.
KIM TAEHYUNG.
Jungkook's eyes stared at the two words, not really believing they were actually there.
He was staring at the letters a little longer, not having the guts to move further down. What would such a book say about a person? Taehyung wasn't dead, so right under his name, it said 'living legend of the dark' in a dramatic way.
Jungkook gulped. The dark? That sounds negative... way too negative. The raven took a heavy breath before letting his eyes trail down the page.
KIM TAEHYUNG
Living legend of the dark
Kim Taehyung, a name that indicates hope, willpower, and future fortune. Yet, this name might not support the carrier of it. Or does it? This topic has been discussed a lot over the years, most of it kept secret.
Kim Taehyung. Serial killer, genius, psychopath, hero. The list will go on and on when you say this name out loud. The time this book got printed, Taehyung was still out there.
He was barely 15 years when all attention was suddenly on him. In a continent long away from here, he spread fear and created societies built on strength, blood, and loyalty. Societies that were dangerous as they did everything in their might to support him.
D.O. was soon the outcome of one of these places, Kim Taehyung as their mastermind.
Why did they take him in? What did he do to 'deserve' this position?
He killed more then 2000 people in a year, his only goal in life to kill what he called 'people who are worthy of death for their crimes.'
Numerous gang members, people who have been kept under police surveillance for years and simple humans who acted over their character were murdered. People called him a hero for taking these people away from the world, yet there were more that went against him.
He was label as murderer, psychopath, insane, killer of his own kind. Guilty.
He was to be sent under an unknown number of lawsuits and would probably spend the rest of his life in jail if not the grave. Yet, he was too strong. he is too strong. After years of committing these crimes in secret, he has developed an impressive set of skills and an even stronger mindset. He's invincible, except for his own kind. Therefore, the police never got the change to catch him.
D.O. is the only gang who knows how to deal with Kim Taehyung. To this day, it's still a mystery if they will use that for good or for bad.
The article continued, but Jungkook just couldn't read any further. He felt his heart beating too fast for his liking, one of his hands over his mouth in shock. Taehyung did that? 2000? In a year? Holy shit.
He slowly closed the book, knowing that he would probably find more information on the internet. And he indeed did. There were so many articles about how Taehyung murdered his victims. Hung them with text written over them in pure mock, some were sent to their families in pieces... others were sliced open from the stomach and up before they got hung inside random people's homes.
It was utterly disturbing. No wonder Taehyung hasn't said anything.
Jungkook's eyes were skimming down the page, getting wider and wider for each word he took in. It was honestly freaky. Like over anything he has ever experience. It shook him all the way to his bones, making him wonder why he doesn't remember hearing anything about this name.
But most of it was kept secret, so maybe it just wasn't... that important.
Definitely is now though.
Jungkook gulped and opened another link, ready to read further down, take in as much knowledge as possible. But he didn't get far before he got yanked from his chair, not only startling himself but also all the other people in the library.
But people weren't just staring. Some were running for their lives and it confused Jungkook so much he turned around.
There he was meet with a pair of dark eyes, a tanned face and some silver, shining hair. And Taehyung wasn't looking happy. At all.
Now that Jungkook thinks about it, he hadn't seen Taehyung anywhere public. Considering they were in a library with people who probably didn't have a life outside their books, it's obvious they would know who this person is. Or, the elders knew for sure.
"W-What the hell-" Jungkook stuttered as he was pulled outside the library before getting thrown into the backseat of a car.
Holy shit, is he getting kidnapped? What is Taehyung going to do to him!?
"Calm your tits, I'm bringing you home," he says sternly, smacking the door before heading to the driver's seat.
Withoutfurther words, he speeded towards the mansion.
