----- Hannah's P.O.V -----

After having that conversation with Maura I am in a really good mood. Knowing that your boyfriend's mum likes you and approves of your relationship with her son is pretty great. I never knew that if when I was in a relationship the parents of the person I was dating would approve of me; it is pretty scary because if the parents don't approve then there is no certainty of the relationship progressing and developing. If that happened with Niall then I am not sure about what I would do, he has become such a big part of my life and losing him now would be horrible.

I enjoy it here in Mullingar, I think that it is a beautiful place and I have always been able to understand why Niall is so proud to be from here and to have grown up in this place. I grew up in Bradford and I wouldn't change a thing about it but at times it was a rough place to live. Mullingar is so peaceful; I think if Niall and I stay together for a long time I want to get some sort of holiday home out here because of we ever have children, and even if we don't, we can come out here and Niall gets to be back in his home town.

Niall has just come into the living room and almost freaks when he sees what his mum is showing me. I quickly close the photo album and hide it behind my back so that he can't get it "Princess" he says and I shake my head "Nope. Mine now" I say getting up from the couch slowly and backing away from my boyfriend "Princess, give it back" he says and I shake my head again "But I wanna finish looking NiNi" I say and he sighs "Those pictures are shocking Princess" he says and I pout "They're also adorable" I say glancing over at Maura "She has a point Niall" she says and I smirk "Haha. I win" I say sticking my tongue out at him.

When I look over at Maura again Niall stealthily grabs the photo album from me and puts it back in the cupboard, where I have been told they're usually kept. Niall smirks at me and I pout "That's unfair" I say and he chuckles "Come on. We're going out" he says and I nod "Okay. Let's go then" I say and Maura stands up "Have fun you two" she says and I hug her "Bye Maura" I say and Niall smiles at the two of us "Bye Ma" he says hugging her "Keep her safe" she says pointing at me "That's my job Ma" he says and Maura smiles "It better be" she says staring him down "Aw Ma, not the look" he says and I giggle "See you later Maura" I say dragging Niall out of the house.

As we walk down the street Niall wraps his arm around my shoulder so I wrap my arm around his waist "I like your skirt Princess" he says and I smile "Thank you. I think it shows my personality pretty well" I say and he chuckles "Your personality is different but in a good way" he says pressing a kiss to the side of my head "Why thank you Ni" I say and he squeezes my shoulder "I'm so glad you came back here with me" he says and I kiss his cheek quickly "I wanted to come back here. I think it's an amazing place" I say and he nods "It is. But I'm from here so I am biased" he says and I giggle slightly.

Whilst we walk down the street a girl starts making her way towards Niall and I; she has long brown hair but it has reddish highlights in it, she is wearing clothes that aren't the most presentable and she wears more make up than a drag queen. As she gets closer Niall sighs "What Ni?" I ask and he sighs again "That's Millie. I dated her just after we got off the X Factor but we broke up pretty quickly. The press never found out about her but she never got over me as far as I know" he says and I nod "Well she totally doesn't make me feel insecure" I say sarcastically and Niall makes us stop walking "Princess, she is nothing compared to you. I am with you, not her and she will realise that. Okay?" he says and I nod again "Okay, I'm fine" I say and he kisses me sweetly.

The girl, who I now know as Millie, eventually reaches me and Niall. She stands in front of us with her arms crossed "Niall, how are you?" she asks and Niall forces a smile "I'm good thank you. How have you been?" he asks in an attempt to be polite but his gaze averts to Millie's collarbone where she has a tattoo of an 'N' in cursive writing with a treble clef and a microphone on either side, it is actually a nice tattoo other than the fact that she clearly has it because of my boyfriend. Niall visibly grimaces and I squeeze his waist gently causing him to smile before turning back to Millie.

Millie flips her hair over her shoulder in order to show off her tattoo "I have been well. I haven't seen you back here in a while, what's been keeping you" she asks purposely glaring at me "I have been on tour Millie. I haven't really had a chance, until now, to come back home" he says and she nods but she still glares at me "Is there something I can help you with?" I ask getting annoyed with her glares "Oh no, I was just wondering why Niall is with a girl like you when he could be with someone so much better in the way of looks and of course figure" she says.

Niall's grip on my shoulder tightens "It could be because of my personality, because I actually wear decent clothes or it could be because I don't go out with a cake on my face" I say and Niall attempts to hold back a laugh "Come on Niall, you know I still love you. I bet you still love me back. You should just do yourself a favour now and leave her before I go and you realise your mistake" she says and Niall scoffs "You wish Millie; I do not love you anymore. Sure I loved you at one point in my life but now I most definitely do not" he says and her face drops.

Niall pulls me closer and I slightly snuggle into his side "I am with someone else. I am happier now than I ever was with you. Face the facts; I do not want to be with you" he says and she looks like she is going to throw some sort of tantrum "Stay out of my life Millie. I didn't plan to see you here and I don't want to see you again" he says. Niall makes both of us turn around and we head towards a little jewellery shop that I saw when we were walking this way before, it is kind of like a gift shop but I saw a super cute necklace in the window and I said to Niall that I wanted to look at it later.

We reach the shop and Niall opens the door for me "Thank you" I say and he nods in recognition. Niall re-places his arm around my shoulder as I look for the necklace. It's silver and it has a tree pendant, I think that it is really pretty. I point it out to Niall who smiles "That is cute" he says and I smile "I only wanted to look at it" I say tugging his arm but Niall catches the attention of a shop assistant "How may I help you?" she asks and Niall points to the necklace I like "My girlfriend likes that necklace. Could we have a closer look at it?" he asks and she nods "Of course. Let me get it out for you" she says taking it out of the cabinet and handing it to Niall.

He turns around to face me "It would look beautiful on you" he says and I roll my eyes "Let me pay for it then" I say and he shakes his head "Na, ah, ah. I get to buy something for my girlfriend" he says catching the attention of the shop assistant again. As he's talking I find myself smiling for no reason in particular; Niall turns back around and places the necklace around my neck "I was right. Beautiful" he says causing me to blush "Thank you Niall" I say playing with the pendant on the necklace "You really didn't have to buy it for me though" I say and he smiles at me "I knew you wanted it Princess. I will do anything to make you smile" he says pulling me into a tight hug.

I need someone to tell me how I managed to get so lucky.
