Gerard Way- Wow, What Great Friends I Have
Your pov
My pencil made scratch sounds against my notebook page as my psychology teacher spoke. I had three friends sat around me at individual desks. Dallon, a tall boy with blue eyes and brown hair to my right. Josh, a boy you couldn't miss with his vibrant red hair, dark eyes, and a nose ring seated behind me. Behind Dallon but beside Josh sat Hayley, a girl who had fading orange hair with dark hazel eyes.
"Dissociative social disorder," The professor spoke while making white chalk marks along the green board, "Who can tell me something about that?" A boy with black hair that fell to his shoulders raised his hand, "Gerard?"
"It's a disorder where you don't feel guilt."
"Precisely," He wrote that along the board, "People with this disorder are able to do horrible things without feeling any remorse," As he talked, my pencil wrote fast between my fingers, "They also come off as charismatic, charming, if you will."
"Commonly this disorder is found," He turned around to face the class, "In criminals, serial killers, anything along those lines. Sadly, these people never get the right treatment since, for obvious reasons, they are sent to jail instead."
"Hey... pst..." I brought my gaze up towards Dallon sat beside me.
"Yeah...?"
"We're thinkin' of heading out to an abandoned house tonight, wanna come along?" My heart fluttered at the sound of this. He wants me to go... of course I'll go... Dallon's really sweet...
"Uh, yeah, yeah I'd love to."
"Cool, I can pick ya up if you'd like." Oh wow... yes please...
"Sure, if you don't mind."
"Of course I don't, pretty girl." I sheepishly smiled, turning the other way so he wouldn't see.
"Y/n?" The teacher called, "Since it seems more important to speak with Dallon you must already know the material. Tell me, split personality disorder, why did it's numbers increase so suddenly?" Oh... I know this one...
"Because it is believed that therapists unintentionally asked questions related to the disorder causing patients to believe they themselves had the disorder. They may have had schizophrenia instead." I spoke fast. The teacher stepped back, surprised by my answer.
"Correct..." He marked along the board. My eyes darted towards the ticking clock above the door. Thirty seconds...
Swiftly, I began packing my things away. Twenty...
The teacher didn't take any notice to the time as he kept write things along the green board. Ten...
My friends got their things together, getting the hint from me, and the bell rang. Zero...
"Y/n?" Hayley asked as we all stood up.
"Yeah?"
"Will you be joining us tonight?"
"Of course, an abandoned house sounds fun."
"Sound spooky," Josh spoke as we began out the classroom, "The house is like, on the outskirts of town. I think it used to be a crack house or something..." I hummed. Many students had already left the building as sixth period had ended.
"Hey dip shit!" Dallon cried to someone in front of us, "Dip shit!" He then grabbed the hood of the raven haired boy from before, "Hey dip shit..."
"Dallon, let him go." I said as Gerard eyed Dallon, terrified.
"No way," Dallon snickered, "Look at this piece of shit." Ugh... I hate it when he does this...
"He is a piece of shit!" Josh chuckled.
"C'mon Dallon, let him go!" I said.
"Why should he? Ya gotta crush on dip shit or something?" Hayley snickered. Okay... he is cute... but no!
"What!? No! Dallon, let him go. He didn't do anything to you."
"Didn't do anything to me!? Of course he did! He's an inconvenience, an abomination to society. Look at him!"
"P-please let me go..." Gerard spoke, his eyes still full of fear.
"Yeah, c'mon..."
"No way, let's go drop him in the trash cans outside!" Hayley suggested.
"You guys are real assholes, y'know that!?" I tried to help Gerard out of Dallon's grasp, but I was only shoved away.
"Assholes!? Fuck off, Y/n, you're no fun," Dallon said, "You really want me to put this ass down?" I nodded.
"Please..." Dallon looked to the boy and smirked.
"Fine, I'll let him go!" Then, Dallon shoved Gerard to the floor, kicked his bag away, and stomped on his stomach.
"Gerard!" I dropped to the floor beside him, "You okay!?"
"Yeah... yeah... they've done worse..." He groaned.
"Aww, Y/n's gotta crush on dip shit!" Hayley giggled.
"Ha! You gotta crush on the dip shit, that's stupid." Josh said.
"Fuck off!" I practically screamed at them.
"Geez, chill babe..." Dallon chuckled, "See ya tonight..." And they finally left.
"Ugh, Gerard, I'm so sorry about them," I said, grabbing his bag, and handing it to him, "Here..."
"Thanks," He stood up with a little help from me.
"C'mon, I'll walk you home."
"Oh, you don't have to."
"Nah, it's alright. Your house is on the way." He smiled.
"Thanks," He repeated.
"It's nothing, just don't want ya shoved into the dumpster." I explained as we stepped out the front doors of the school.
"Y/n?" I hummed, "Why do you hang out with them?"
"Cause they're my friends. They're not always like that, they're usually really cool."
"But, I'm still your friend, right?"
"Of course! I got your back."
"Wanna hang out at my house?" He asked as we walked along side the road.
"I can't tonight, I'll be with the gang. They found an abandoned house on the outskirts of town. We're gonna hang out there."
"Oh, alright, that's cool..." Gerard spoke, leading me off the sidewalk and onto his porch steps.
"Hey Gerard?" He hummed, facing me instead of the door, "Once again, I'm really sorry."
"It's alright, I'm kinda used to it now." That's so sad...
"C'mere," I held my arms out.
"What're you doing?" He asked, I motioned for him to come closer.
"C'mon..." Finally, he got the hint and hugged me, "I'm never leaving you behind, alright? You're my friend, no matter how much Dallon hates you."
"Why does he hate me?" He asked, pulling away. I shrugged.
"No idea, I gotta go, see ya Monday."
"Yeah, Monday..." He stepped inside his home, and shut the door behind him. Poor Gerard... he doesn't deserve any of that...
Time skip to later that night
There was a knock upon the front door. I ran down the stairs, stomping along each step, and, luckily, got to the door before my parents.
"Dallon! Hi," I greeted.
"Hey," He eyed me up and down, sending weird tingles through my body, "You ready babe?"
"Yeah..."
"C'mon, I already picked up Josh and Hayley." Oh... I thought it was just gonna be the two of us...
"Oh, cool..." I stepped out of the house and shut the door behind me. But the front seat is open... oh Dallon...
I climbed into the passenger seat while Dallon got into the drivers seat. He drove off to the abandoned house. In the dark it looked quite scary. The paint was peeling immensely while the wooden porch caved in and the glass windows were either broken or boarded up.
"Woah, this looks sick..." Hayley said as Dallon parked his car. We got out and I noticed how the closest houses were miles away. Geez... straight out of a cheesy horror flick...
"Ladies first..." Josh motioned towards the rickety porch steps. Hayley and I rolled our eyes, but went inside first.
"Damn..." I spoke. The home was completely empty and matched the outside with its peeling paint and holes in the floor.
"Eh, this'll do I guess..." Dallon spoke, standing in the entry way with us. Josh flicked on a flashlight, showing stairs to the left.
"Cool..." Hayley didn't even hesitate to wander up the stairs, we all followed.
"So, what're we gonna do?" Josh asked while we now stood at the top of the stairs.
"Find somewhere to chill and then uh... chill..." Dallon explained, "This room'll be fine." We all sat around a fairly small bedroom. I made sure to sit next to Dallon of course.
All through the night we told stories, and made dumb jokes. Both Dallon and I had been silently scooting closer and closer to one another. Eventually, he rested his hand on my thigh. Oh damn...
"... yeah and then he fuckin' uh... fuckin' sliced them in half with his fuckin' knife. It was like, this long." Josh spoke, holding his fingers out to demonstrate how long this person's knife was.
"Y/n?" Dallon whispered into my ear. I quietly hummed, looking up to him, "I was thinking, maybe you and I could check out more of the house." Yes!
"Sure..."
"Uh, Y/n and I are gonna check out the house more."
"Oh please, you two are just gonna make out or something, whatever, go ahead." Hayley snickered.
"Take a flashlight." Josh slid a flashlight our way. Dallon grabbed it.
"Thanks, c'mon baby..." He smirked, taking my hand. We walked back downstairs, and into what used to be a kitchen, "Y/n, you're stunning tonight," I giggled. He snaked his arms around my waist, eying me up and down, "So damn fine..."
My heart beat fast as he brought his lips close to mine, but, before he could close the gap, there was a shriek of terror from upstairs. Sounded like Hayley! What's going on!?
"Uhm..." I pulled away.
"Oh c'mon, they're probably just messing with us. Baby, c'mere..." He ran his fingers up and down my body, "I want you." He whispered against my lips. Damn...
Finally, he closed the gap, and pressed against me hard. Originally we had stood in the middle of what was left of the kitchen, but somehow I was pressed against a wall. He gazed upon me with a smirk.
"Y/n..." There was another shriek from upstairs, one that sounded more like Josh.
"Dallon..." I tried pushing him off, but he was much stronger than I was.
"They're messing with us. C'mon, I know how badly you want me." He kissed up my neck. Geez...
Suddenly, loud stomps were heard from the stairs. They carried through the hallway, and finally, to us as Hayley and Josh leaned down, completely out of breath.
"We're not alone!" Hayley cried, "There's a guy! I think he wants to kill us or something..."
"Bullshit!" Dallon cried, pulling off of me, "There's no way-" The sound of footsteps came from the stairs, "Oh shit..."
"Run!" Hayley led the way as we ran through the home. We went so fast I couldn't even take in what it all looked like.
"Oh god, he's right there!" Dallon screamed, shining the flashlight behind us to show a guy with dark hair to his shoulders, a hockey mask, and, a massive axe in his hand.
"Shit shit shit!" We then, crammed into a random room, shutting the door behind. Hayley stood up against the door, but no noise came from the outside.
"That was close..." Hayley breathed, "We got everyone?" She counted, "Four, yeah-" But she spoke too soon, a guy stepped out from beneath the shadows, and everyone immediately ran out.
Before I could leave the room, they shut the door on me. I was left alone with, who I had assumed to be, an axe murderer. Oh god oh fuck...
"Guys, please let me out please! Please!" I sobbed, banging on the door with my fists.
"C'mon Dallon, let her out!" I heard. Dallon... no...
"No way! Let's get outta here while we have the chance..." I dropped to my knees, weeping.
"Damn, that's kinda a dick move dude. Wanna, get some revenge?" I turned to the person, his voice sounding awfully familiar.
"What!?"
"Revenge?" The guy stepped towards me. I stood up, walking towards the guy. My eyes met his.
"Wait, Gerard!? Is that you!?" I asked, astonished.
"Uhm..."
"You're an axe murderer!?" I cried, terrified.
"No! No, I... I just wanted to freak you guys out. Not you, but your friends. I wanted some revenge for all the shit." Damn...
"Oh, well I'm in!" I didn't even hesitate.
I stood up from the floor, wiped away my tears, and joined Gerard out of the room. We heard steps going towards the front door, Gerard sped down the steps, and stood in front of the door so they couldn't escape. He held an arm around me with the axe held towards my neck. They all screeched.
"Guys help! Please, oh god, help!" I fake sobbed. My three so-called friends, ran the other way.
"You're not bad at this..." Gerard whispered, "Stay here..."
He ran off, and I stood against a wall that could fall down any minute. There were loud screams from down the hall, and they ran my way.
"Y/n!?" They cried, now confused.
"You assholes! I can't believe you left me in there! What the hell!?" I scolded.
"It was Hayley's idea!" Dallon pointed at her.
"Fucker! I know it was you! You left me to die..."
"How are you alive?" Josh had the audacity to ask. I just pointed behind them. Gerard stood there with his mask still down. He lifted his mask, and smiled at them, then began to chuckle.
"Dip shit? What the fuck!?" Dallon shoved him.
"Hey! I may not be a real axe murderer, but I could turn into one!" Gerard held the axe towards Dallon who stepped back, freaked out.
"This... this is bullshit! I'm outta here! You're fuckin' insane! C'mon guys..." I stepped towards Gerard, "Y/n? Baby, are you coming?" He asked, taking a more gentle tone towards me.
"No! You left me for dead!" As I spoke, I took a short step closer to Dallon, "Us, whatever was between us, it's gone. I'm not doing this anymore. Go on without me."
"So she does have a crush on dip shit!" Josh cried, "Haha, you have a crush on dip shit, that's stupid! Cause he's a dip shit..."
"Fuck off!" They finally ran off, snickering.
"Again, I'm so sorry." I told Gerard.
"No need," He led me out to the broken down porch and took a seat on the rickety stairs. I did the same, "Are you sure you don't wanna go with them?"
"No way, they left me for dead. If it's alright, I'd like to stay with you for awhile."
"Wait, really? You wanna, hang out with me?" His mouth hung open slightly while his eyes lit up, astonished.
"Of course, you are my friend."
"Right," The air went quiet between us for only a moment, "Uhm, can I, say something stupid?" I sent a curious look.
"Stupid? What do you mean?" He sighed.
"Like," He shut his eyes, tight, "That I kinda like you more than a friend but never said anything cause of Dallon and your friends, but lately it's been getting a lot worse like I just, I like you a lot. It's okay if you don't like me, I get it, I can go, I'll go..." He opened his eyes and stood up, getting ready to bail.
"Gerard," I grabbed hold of his hand and pulled him back, "You like me? Like, really like me?" Ashamed, he nodded.
"I'm sorry..." I stood up in front of him.
"Why?" I caressed his cheek, "Why're you sorry?"
"Cause, I just ruined our friendship, and why would you like a guy like me? I'm a dip shit, a dirt bag, or whatever..."
"Gerard, you're not a dip shit," My gaze fell to the grass, "And, well, I kinda like you too."
"What?" I nodded, "I thought you said you didn't..."
"Yeah, cause my friends woulda made fun of me for it. But, they're gone now..."
"Can I kiss you?" My gaze went back to his.
"You wanna kiss me?" He nodded, now making it clear he was gazing at my lips, "Go ahead, babe."
Another look of astonishment took over his face until he leaned in, and pressed his sweet lips to mine. He kisses better than Dallon... he's more sweet about it...
"C'mon, let's get outta here." I said.
"Wanna go to my house?"
"Sure..." I smiled as he held my hand, leading me to his car, and to a sweet night with him I'd never forget. My sweet Gerard...
