Your POV

You came home from yet another stressful day at work. All you really wanted was to be at home with your boyfriend Pete.

All the stress came from the fact that your boss was counting on you to get everything done and she didn't make it easy on you either.

You sigh as you stop at yet another red light waiting for it to turn green.

Just your luck it changed and you headed right towards your house.

As you open the front door you call out for Pete.

"Pete, baby I'm home." You yell out. 

No response.

You sigh as you drop everything and go into the kitchen to take some ibuprofen. Your head was throbbing from being yelled at and pushed around all day.

"Y/n!" Pete called out to you.

"Hey ba-" you stopped mid sentence only to turn around and see Pete standing there with a puppy.

"Pete." You began with a sigh.

"What the actual fuck." You continue.

"What? I got a puppy, her name is Ruby." He says getting excited as he snuggles the dog.

You roll your eyes and smile.

Ruby was a beautiful Husky that had the most beautiful eyes to exist.

"Come play with us." You hear Pete call from the other room.

You laugh as you walk into the other room to play with both of them.
