"Gerard!" You shouted as you closed the door behind you.

The house you shared with him was silent, but as you walked closer to the stairs you heard crying.

"Gerard?" You questioned as you walked up the stairs towards your room. You heard a few sniffles. "I'm in here." He said clearing his throat.

You walked in, and he hurriedly stood up wiping his eyes. "Baby, what's wrong?" You asked him.

He walked to you and engulfed you into a hug, more tears falling onto your shirt. Seeing Gerard like this tore you apart. You were confused, but started crying yourself.

He pulled away, and you quickly wiped your tears, leaving you with visible red puffy eyes.

"I've been diagnosed with cancer. " He said looking down.

Your mouth fell open to say something but nothing came out. More tears tried to make an appearance, but you held them back. "It'll be ok, Gee." You say pulling him into a hug.

• 2 Years Later •

You came through the door of the house that was now lonely. You hated this. You hated life. You hated how Gerard had to suffer for so long, and how he was finally gone.

You let the word go through your head multiple times.

He's gone. My baby is gone. Taken from me.

Tears fell as you walked to your room that you once shared with your husband.

You looked at his side of the bed, wishing he was there to tell you how beautiful you were, telling you everything was gonna be ok. Telling you that he loved you. But it was all gone.
