You stood backstage, your hands shaking as you waited for my cue. It had been 10 years since you had seen him.Your best friend from childhood. Patrick Stump.

You heard the cue. It was Pete. "So Patrick, we have a gift for you for your birthday." You took a deep breath and walked onto the stage. "H...Hi Pat. Its me. Its Y/N."

Patrick took one look at you and burst into tears, running towards you and wrapping his arms around you. "Y/N" he cried. Everyone was cheering and whooping, but you had only eyes for Patrick. 

All your emotions bubbled up to the surface as you stood there. Patrick regained his composure and began to speak. "You guys, this is Y/N Y/L/N, my best friend since I can remember. I haven't seen her in ten years, and she's here now."

Pete came up to Patrick and clapped him on the shoulder. "Happy Birthday, Pat."

TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY PETE'S BASS

After the show, you joined them on their tour bus. "It's good to finally meet you, Y/N." Joe said. "Pat talks about you a lot, even though he hasn't seen you in forever."

You blush. "Well, I hope he's been saying all good things about me." You reply. Joe laughs. "Of course." 

You all had a lot of fun that night, just hanging out and having fun. As you were about to leave, Pete came up to you. "So, Y/N, I have a question for you. Do you want to join us on tour as one of our merch girls? We're one short, and I know Pat would love to have you here."

You smile big. "Do you mean it, Pete? Oh my gosh, that would be...amazing!" You say. Pete smiles. " I also have one more question, and if it's too personal, you don't have to answer." 

You look at him, confused. "What is it?" "Do you love Patrick? I mean, love him, as in you want to be with him?" He asks. You blush bright red. "Um...yes. I...yeah. "You stutter, not looking in his eyes. 

"He loves you too. That's what he says all the time, in his sleep at least. I hear him calling your name, begging you to stay and hear him say that he loves you." Your eyes widen in shock. 

"hey guys! What are you talking about?" Patrick opened the door. "I was inviting her on tour to be a merch girl, and she said yes." Pete said smoothly. You nodded, unable to open your mouth for fear of what you might say.

"That's awesome!" Patrick says. "Well, I'm tired, will you see her home, Patrick?" Pete asks, winking at you.

"Yeah, sure." Pete goes inside and you begin walking to your car.

"Patrick..." You say, wringing your hands. 

"Yeah? What's up?" He asks. You take one look at his green eyes and you break.

"Patrick I love you. I've been in love with you since we were kids and I never told you because I was so scared and...I love you." You say breathlessly, turning around. You feel his hand on your shoulder and you turn around.

"Y/N... I love you too. I've always loved you. If only we had told each other..." He says with a soft chuckle. "Lets make up for lost time." he whispers, leaning in.

You meet his lips and in the moment it really felt like there were sparks. His arms go around your waist and you smile against his lips.

When you part, he has a smile on his face. "Y/N..." He whispers. You smile. "Will you take me home?" He nods.

"Lets go."
