(Third Person POV)

A year ago, David fell in love with the most beautiful, funny, unique man. He had dark brown hair and eyes. He was that clown everyone loved in class because he brightened  up people's day. David? he was always that shy, awkward kid back in school. That man was the reason he broke out of his cocoon. He made David who he is today. His name was Lui.

"Lui, are ye home?" The irishman called out when he heard the door open. He saw his beautiful boyfriend at the door. "Yay~" He ran and hugged him but he refused to hug back and pushed him away. "Is something wrong?"

"David, I had a long day. Can you please not be so goddamn loud?" Lui said trying to fix his oddly messy hair that wasn't tied up in a bun this time and walked back up to their room.

Lui has always been out of the house lately so David rarely got to see him, and when he does, he never wants to talk to his boyfriend. It's been some cold weeks, almost a month since they've kissed, let alone hug.

And didn't you share with me
Those secrets in your eyes

David had planned to spend time together at a restaurant with his boyfriend when he got home, though all Lui wanted was to go to bed. Lui demanded that David sleep in the living room that night because he 'urgently' needed the bed to himself.

David was restless, he couldn't stop thinking about the past. "What went wrong? Did I do something? Does he not love me anymore?" Thoughts like these filled his little head.

David then started pondering about all the milestones of their relationships they celebrated.

"I have a friend over!" Lui said in squeaker voice. He heard David's footsteps walking towards him. "Wait! You have to close your eyes!" David rolled his eyes in the distance and waited for Lui. He opens the cage and released the dog he had just adopted.

The dog ran to David and started licking his feet. "Another dog babe?!" The irishman yelled.

"I wanted Joe to have a friend.. I'm sorry!" Lui continued in his squeaker voice and started crying. David walks over to him and kisses him to stop the tears.

"You're lucky he's adorable babe."

"Lui! I'm back!" David called as his boyfriend ran down the stairs to greet him. Lui looked at him confused as his hands were behind his back.

"What's that?" David then reveals a dark blue velvet box that contained a ring inside with an engraving of the date they became a couple on the inside of the band. Lui gasped and took the ring onto his finger.

"It's no engagement ring.. but I've been wanting to give ye something special."

Lui blushed even harder and smiled. "I have something for you too.. Wait here!" He ran back up to their room to grab a box as well. Inside was dog tag and a locket that had their first picture of them together inside, all on one chain. David couldn't stop smiling as Lui tiptoed to put the necklace on him. "Happy 6 months!"

"Ye are so adorable, hehe! I love ye." He said pulling him into a kiss.

"I always loved you~" Lui cooed after retreating from the kiss.

Months passed since their anniversary. They no longer celebrate any milestones since Lui was rarely ever home. David spent nights in front of the fireplace staring at the dog tag and necklaces, wishing his lover would come home. He missed his touch, his adorable laugh, those stupid yet hilarious moments they shared. Joe and Tony would bark at him sometimes to get his attention. Sometimes they even stood in front of him with their adorable puppy dog eyes. "At least ye aren't gonna leave me, right Joe?" He cooed as his dog cuddled up next to him with the other dog, Tony, that Lui had gotten following.

A week later, David started to resort to drinking in order to cope with his relationship problems. He drank every night and day, sometimes even forgetting to clean up the bottles of whiskey from the ground.

That same week, Lui came home with a new car, his dream car. David was in shock to where and how he could afford it. "Hi David, I know you've been wondering where I've been haven't ya?" David didn't care, he was just happy his boyfriend was back as he pulled him into his arms. Lui smelled the alcohol on him and was disgusted by the scent so he pulled back.

Just few seconds later, he saw an Asian girl come out of the car. She had hair that was dyed in dark brown to blonde ombré. She had dark brown eyes with her eyeliner winged. "This is Joanna. Tom introduced me to her when we were hanging out one night, and since then we've been great friends!"

David could feel tears trying to escape. He slammed the door on his so-called boyfriend and ran to their room.

He knew exactly what Joanna was to Lui, but refused to believe it. He bit down on his tongue and tried his best not to cry, to accept what's going on. His world was falling apart.

It was David and Lui's year and a half anniversary. As usual, Lui was still barely home. He started staying out for months now. David barely checked social media at this point, but today, he made an exception. What else could he do when his boyfriend wasn't there? He scrolled through Twitter and saw a post Lui was tagged in. He was at a party at one of the places the two had talked about going to. In the video recorded by Tom, he was dancing with Joanna as she grinded on Lui like it depended on her life.

David took another swig of his last whiskey bottle in attempt to hold back the tears. He was filled with rage, envy, but that just fueled his depression he's been dealing with.

Moments later he received a call from Lui. He was relieved but also confused. David picked up the phone only to realize it was either butt dialed call or drunk call. He heard Lui grunting and another girl who he assumed was Joanna who was moaning extremely loud. David hung up and threw his phone across the room.

He then realizes that he didn't have anymore alcohol bottles on him. From all the packs of beer and whiskey he bought, it made him low on money, so he resorted to cigarettes.

A month later, Lui finally returned again! Despite what David was feeling, it was hard for him to stay mad at Lui. So when he returned, he greeted Lui with another hug as usual. "Hi babe~"

Lui scrunched his face from the smell of cigarettes and whiskey that was on his 'boyfriend.' "What's that smell?" He said and retreated.

"I'm sorry.. I just miss ye-" David said but was interrupted by Lui.

"Maybe you should go shower.." Lui replied awkwardly.

"Don't ye wanna spend time with me? I haven't see ye for ages!"

"What are you talking about? You could've called me."

"I did! Ye never answered! When ye finally called, it sounded like ye were boning some fucking slut! Oh I don't know, Joanna maybe?!" David snapped as Lui stood their in shock.

"David.. are you crazy?! I'd never do that! I even promised you that I'd never do that, not even in a billion years!" Lui pleaded as his eyes started to water up. David looked down and saw his hands were intertwined with Lui's. The ring he gave him caught his attention the most, he was surprised he still had it.

"I-I'm sorry babe.. I'll go shower now like ye said." David said kissing Lui's forehead and left.

When David got cleaned up and dressed, he only realized later that Lui had left, again.

Lui's routine repeated. He came home for not even an hour, and left for days, months. David had started neglecting Joe and Tony, who were desperately hungry. One day he just decided to let them go. "Get out of here ye stupid focking muts! Can't ye see I don't ye bothering me!" He said and opened their front door, watching them leave.

When Lui came home this next time, he wondered where Joe and Tony had gone. "David where's the dogs?" He called for David when he entered. David didn't respond as he was too lost in his thoughts, he was drowning in his depression.

Lui entered their room and saw a very tired David. "David are you alright?"

"Maybe if ye would stay home for more than a focking day, I'd be alright!" Lui flinched and started to back up. "I just want things to go back how they were..." David said with a cracking voice, he was on verge of crying again.

Lui realized he had to face the music. He couldn't just leave his ex lover like this. "David.. I'm sorry. I just don't feel the same way anymore."

"I can change, Lui! Whatever you want!" David said getting up and walking towards Lui. David noticed Lui was in fear more than in love to hear those words. David sighed. "Please Lui.. I just want you back here, with me."

"I-I'm sorry, David. I can't do this anymore." With that, Lui finally left David and the house, permanently.

I wanted to update and I felt like writing something sad. I got inspired by this Ohmlirious one shot I wrote which hurt me right in the feels! I hope I accomplished that with this one xD Anyways, peace out everybody! Goodbye~
