Hey guys! It's been a long while since I published my first introductory chapter to myself, so I decided to make an updated version with current information.

basics.

My name is Kristyn (pronounced KRIS-tin, not Kris-TEEN/Christian/etc) and I've been on Wattpad for a LONG while. I created this account in January 5, 2013 with the user IDidntMeanToHurtYou which is the lyrics to "Wishing on a Star" by the X Factor UK stars from my One Direction/Little Mix phase lmfao.

I am a working college student, so updates may be sporadic. I used to be a Biology major, but I recently changed it to English. So I was a woman in STEM for a hot sec before it burned me out.

I'm very open about my struggles with mental illness. It's a big part of my life and it's another reason for my sporadic updates. Sometimes it really kicks me in the butt. The things I primarily struggle with are anxiety disorder and depression, but sometimes my PTSD likes to make a surprise appearance. I also have executive dysfunction and am neurodivergent with a pending ADHD diagnosis, so that's fun!

I love animals and used to own a dog and cat simultaneously. Now I have a kitten named Peaches and she's the love of my life even if she tries to attack my forearms daily.

I am also very vocal about the social issues I support, such as women's rights, Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ+ rights, Stop Asian Hate, etc. I'm also trying to be more eco-friendly and am trying to be more conscious about my carbon footprint. I believe it's important for everyone to reduce their waste and be kind to our planet!

I used to play volleyball and softball from the ages of 7–14 but stopped after my coaches caused burnout. Then, I joined the drama club at my school and participated in 6 musicals. Can I sing? No. Can I dance? Also no. But it was very fun!

I consider myself a very creative person and love to create things. You can see this in my fanfiction writing, but I also love to journal. I have one for my dreams (because I have some CRAZY ones), my everyday life, and one to document various things, like random spreads/travel/monthly favorites/doodles/movie reviews/tv episode trackers/etc. I also dabble in art sometimes and love calligraphy!!

I have been writing since I was 10 and I have such a deep love for it. I'm almost always writing, whether it be for a story, journaling, planning my stories, a list, random chunks of dialogue/descriptions I want to use one day, or other random things.

Reading is another passion of mine. Ever since I was a toddler, my parents have found me with a nose in a book (even though I obviously couldn't read back then, I would just look at the pictures in fascination). My primary, go-to genres tend to be in the sci-fi/fantasy realm, but I've also come to like contemporary romance.

Other hobbies include: ice skating, roller blading, swimming, listening to music/podcasts, playing on my Nintendo Switch, watching baseball games, playing the Sims 4, hanging out with friends, taking photos on my Polaroid or film cameras, and taking walks through nature.
