"I'm gonna eat you!" Sydney roared, mocking a monster while stomping his feet, trying to catch the little tyke.

Luca squealed in delight as she ran away from him.

They were playing tag outside their large backyard. Gabriele and Enzo were arguing about something. Actually, Luca wasn't allowed to run at all. Enzo, being the mother hen and all, said that maybe she'll trip up and fall and will get a nosebleed or a concussion.

And Sydney just thought that that was an exaggeration.

So when they started arguing about work, that's when Sydney pulled Luca away from her iced tea to play.

Pierre was also in on the argument so Sydney and Luca were free!

"Noooo!" Luca giggled adorably as she ran, sweat glistening down her forehead. "No! Don't, Juli!"

Sydney laughed at how adorable she was! Actually, he just wanted Luca to play outside. She's always inside the house, doing the same thing over and over again so he's playing tag with her so that she could just feel free and have fun like normal kids do.

"Sei un corridore veloce, topolina!" He complimented, hands braced on his knees as he try to regain his breath.

(You're a fast runner, little mouse!)

They were running around for ten whole minutes and he's tired of chasing Luca. Believe it or not but Luca was hard to catch.  He keeps bending over to catch her and she keeps dodging his hands by ducking low. If she plays dodge ball then Sydney was sure that Luca will be dodging the ball with ease.

Luca looked at him with pride. "Thank-you, Juli... "

Sydney panted heavily as he looked up at her with a proud grin. "Le's just get some cold drink before continuing, Kay?"

She bobbed her head excitedly. "Kay!"

Sydney watched her sprint towards the shade where the trio were still arguing about something that Sydney was too dumb to understand and it looks like they're about to kill each other if the argument continues.

Not that the man wouldn't enjoy it. Sydney would love to see the scene unfold. Sydney internally snickered sadistically.

Sadly, Luca tripped.

Yeah. After running around for ten minutes, she finally tripped and fell and his world just froze. It stopped. He felt like he's about to go on cardiac arrest.

She went straight down with a soft 'oof.' Her lapis colored dress got dirty and she was too surprised to cry.

But she won't cry.

No.

She's six years old and she's brave.

But that doesn't hide the fact that she felt embarrassed.

She slowly stood up and brushed off the dust on her dress. But suddenly, she tasted something. Something metallic inside her mouth.

She heard Sydney frantically calling out for her, asking the little girl if she was alright.

Luca spat out something. Other than the blood oozing out from her mouth, she found a little tooth.

And for a second, she was so nervous. Her eyes went wide and it was filled with curiosity and then she frowned and then Luca's eyes sparkled.

She looked back at Sydney, waving her tooth proudly. "I los' a toof, Huli!"

She was trying not to spit out blood and let her tongue touch the vacant space that her tooth had stuck on.

"Jesus Christ, you're bleeding, Luca!" Sydney practically screeched in shock as he ran towards her with the speed of light.

'Well... ' She thought bitterly. 'That's obvious enough, Juli.'

Instead of waiting for him, she ran towards Enzo.

She immediately hugged his waist, making him jump in surprise. Gabriele and Pierre's eyes landed on her. Their heated argument slowly sizzling down.

"Luca?" Enzo asked in surprise as he hesitantly patted her head. "You're sweating too much. Weren't you just sitting? Oh, the heat's too much, isn't it, sweetheart? Let's go inside and give you a nice cold—"

Luca looked up at him and smiled widely. Her eyes were sparkling adorably as she showed him her tooth.

"I los' a toof!" She proudly displayed it.

Everyone froze except for Enzo. Sydney was also frozen in place when he saw Luca up close.

They're not focusing on her tooth. They were looking on the blood!

Enzo smiled softly and carried Luca to place her on his lap. He sweetly kissed her cheek while calmly getting tissues.

"Wow, look at that." He said in excitement. "Do you know what to do with that?"

"Do you know what we have to do to her?" Gabriele shouted making Enzo and Luca flinch.

Enzo gave him an exasperated sigh. "What?"

"We need to call a doctor, moron! I can't believe that you would ask such a thing!" He shouted, standing up and pointing at Luca. "Can't you see that she's bleeding!?"

Enzo rolled his eyes. I can't believe that you would be saying such a thing and they say that I'm the mom here, he thought with an irritated look.

Sydney raised his hand. He looked rather pale. "As much as I hate to admit it but I strongly agree with Gab." He looked at Pierre and Pierre was gaping like he was about to faint at any second now.

Sydney gulped down the nausea and patted Pierre's shoulder. "Get it together, man. We're soldiers, boy. You can't d-die here. L-Lu's in danger and you need to prepare the car."

"Why is she bleeding so much?" Pierre asked and then looked at Enzo like a lost puppy. "She's bleeding too much. "

"Um... Ovioshy, Mi'e' Piew'..." Luca drawled, while removing the blood with the tissues that Enzo gave.

"Luca!" Gabriele hissed. "This is no time for playing around!"

Everyone was surprised that Gabriele actually understood what Luca was saying.

Enzo sighed, he was the mother hen here but they're acting like they haven't seen blood before. Oh the irony. These men have seen blood more than once so this should be a breeze.

And they're overreacting. What will happen if Luca gets her period?

Oh, Lord. Enzo internally shook his head. We'll be going to the hospital frequently if that happens.

But then Enzo wondered as well and he looked at Luca. "Why are you bleeding so much? And how did your tooth fall off? Why are you sweating so much, Luca? Look, you're turning red!"

That's not the case here! Everyone thought in panic.

The blood inside her mouth was not as terrifying as it once was before and she was able to speak clearly now.

"We played tag!" She said cheerfully, her feet were dangling as she leaned back against her brother. Everyone immediately looked at Sydney and the man raised his hands in surrender.

"I was doing it for the greater good!"

Gabriele scoffed. "I wonder if my fist meeting your face is for the greater good."

The man winced. "I can explain."

Pierre huffed. "Oh, save it."

"And then I twipped!" She said and huffed, her cheeks were flushed as she shook her head, proud at what she was about to say. "Bu' I didn't cry 'cause I'm bwave!"

Enzo chuckled. She was adorable! He kissed her temple and nodded. "You are brave, love. Good job."

She giggled gleefully at the compliment.

"So..." Pierre said. "She'll be fine?"

Enzo rolled his eyes and nodded. "Of course she'll be fine! But I know for a fact that someone here won't be."

That comment was directed to Sydney and he just wished that the ground would just swallow him whole.

"That's great then, Lu." Pierre smiled softly at her. "The tooth fairy will come!"

She tilted her head to the side in curiosity. "Tooth Fairy?"

Enzo nodded. "If you keep that under your pillow, Miss Tooth Fairy will collect that and will give you a prize!"

Luca was practically jumping with excitement. Her chocolate doe eyes was filled with nothing but excitement and damn it...

It was adorable as hell!

Their hearts were practically jumping with love and affection for the little girl.

"Wha's the prize?"

Gabriele leaned back and crossed his arms. "Why are you believing that nonsense? The tooth fairy isn't rea—"

Sydney covered his mouth and grinned at Luca. "The tooth fairy isn't really going to come if you know the prize, Lu. It's a surprise after all."

Luca covered her mouth, scared that maybe the tooth fairy heard her. What if the tooth fairy heard Luca talking about the prize? She wouldn't come!

Enzo and the others chuckled at how adorable she was acting. Their hearts were wrapped around her little fingers.

"D'you think that she's jus' like Santy Clause?" She whispered secretly. "Does miss toof faiwy come to kids who has been good like Santy clause? I've been a good girl, I pwomise... "

Sydney shook his head. Everyone could agree that Luca's innocence should be protected at all costs. It's so adorable. "Oh, Lu. You've been a good girl so the tooth fairy will definitely come, okay? Don't worry."

Enzo stood up and protectively carried her in his arms. "How about we take a bath we'd put that under your pillow tonight, sounds good?"

Luca hummed in response. "D'you think that I'll see Miss toof faiwy tonight?"

Enzo chuckled at her innocence. His heart was just filled with warmth and it's about to burst! She's just so adorable.

He leaned forward and whispered his answer in her ear like it was the most important thing in the whole world and nobody should know about it. "The tooth fairy doesn't want to be seen but between you and me, Lu?"

She nodded seriously, listening to what he was about to say.  Her brows were knitted together and her eyes were filled with determination and seriousness.

"Some say that the tooth fairy is a small creature who glows. She has wings and a little wand and you'll hear her bells ringing so you better wake up when you hear it. But promise me that you'll keep our conversation a secret, okay?"

Luca nodded joyfully and she was very happy to hear the secrets of Miss tooth fairy.

"If I meet Miss Toof Fairy, I'll ask her to be my friend so that she will come to my room eve'y night to play with me." She exclaimed while playing with Enzo's palm.

"Yeah?" Pierre asked and Luca nodded in determination.

"Mhmm. I'd give her cookies and milk."

Their hearts were sinking deeper and deeper for Luca. She'd be the death of them. They're sure of it.

She was too adorable for their own good. She's literally an angel!

Their sweet little angel.

"Sounds like a plan." Sydney nodded.

And Enzo kissed her temple again before carrying her inside the house for a cold bath.

Sydney releases Gabriele and slapped the back of his head causing him to protest angrily.

"Fuck!" He shouted, not minding his profanity. "What was that for?"

Pierre shook his head. "Don't ruin a kid's childhood."

Gabriele gave him a monotonous look. "What childhood? When we were young, we didn't believe in those crappy tooth fairies or this  fat old man that who rides in a sleigh and goes ho ho ho while going around the neighborhood, going into other people's houses in the middle of the night just to bring gifts and eat cookies and milk while nobody's looking."

The two gave him a look of disbelief and disgust.

"Duuuude, now that you've said it like that, that just sounds nasty." Sydney shook his head. "Now you ruined my image of poor Ol' Santa Clause. You should be nice to elderlies even if that's Mr. Santa man, Gab."

"I kinda agree with Syd here." Pierre said, still looking at Gabriele in displeasure. "Goodness, you're bitter about these people."

Sydney crossed his arms. "You've been a very bad boy this year, Gab. The old man won't give you any presents."

Gabriele just rolled his eyes.
