Of course, everyone's got their very own mother hen switch when it comes to Luca.

Luca's still pretty much a baby to them. It's like their natural instincts. Like predators protecting their own kids.

So, despite Gabriele being a complete asshole sometimes, he's not completely bad. He's also a worrywart when it comes to their little sister. In fact, he's much scarier when he's calm and collected. Enzo may be terrifying but Gabriele's just the same.

So, when they were invited to an event, of course it's to be expected that they'll be quickly pulled into different kinds of group.

Even Luca.

Well, she was pulled by a bunch of kids who's close to her age.

Still, Gabriele was keeping an eye out on her.

Like a hawk.

A big scary hawk.

As the night went on, Gabriele allowed himself to relax. So far, nobody's touching Luca. Nobody's talking to her other than a bunch of kids.

Usually, people, mostly women, would take Luca as an advantage to talk to them. A simple innocent plan that just makes the Cattaneo brothers gag with disgust.

Fucking whores.

And if men were doing it then it was because of business. They want the help from a Cattaneo because of their power. Their never ending power that makes those greedy men crawl down to their feet like slaves begging for a release.

Gabriele smirked to himself. He enjoys the thought of those people wriggling under their power like worms. Like some powerless cockroach. They can run all they want but they'll always be dead in the end.

Oh, how he wished that he'll be the one bringing them on death's door. Just thinking of the million ways to kill those fucking greedy people makes him just moan with delight.

It makes his body shake with unbearable pleasure.

Blood.

Fucking blood running down his hands as he slit their throats, open it wide until blood drips on the floor and just open their body with just a knife.

Their screams, oh how he would love it.

Their pleas and useless attempt to escape. He's shaking.

Blood.

Suddenly, someone tugged the hem of his tuxedo.

He looked down and saw Luca smiling up at him.

All of his dark thoughts immediately vanished and was replaced by Luca's very bright smile. The fact that she could remove all of his thoughts in a matter of millisecond was irritating.

But he didn't mind it at all.

"Gabi!" She chirped lovingly up at him but she glanced at the people glaring at her and Luca just innocently smirked at them.

"I'm thirsty... "

Gabriele sighed and carried Luca protectively. He also smirked at Luca's timing.

He looked at the ladies he was talking a while ago and gave them a dashing smile.

"Sorry, ladies, but my sister needs to be taken care of."

"She can do it by herself, Gabriele." One of the ladies said with a bitter tone. "She'll be turning six soon. Aren't you embarrassed, Luca? You're a big girl now, right?"

Her tone was something Luca didn't like.

It was overly sweet that it made Gabriele sick.

Luca shook her head, a frown was evident on her face. "Gabi said that even big girls need help."

They all swooned over Luca but Gabriele knew that it was all in act.

"What a smart girl!" They said.

"You're adorable." They said.

"Such a kind girl." They said.

Sydney smirked at the dark look clouding his brother's face.

"Hey, Pierre?"

Pierre looked at Sydney, a smile plastered on his face as he took a sip of his champaign again. "Yeah?"

"You met mama bear Enzo, right?"

Pierre immediately frowned. He followed Sydney's gaze and he sighed, shaking at the sight of Gabriele.

"Fuck, no. Not again."

Sydney chuckled sweetly. "Well, Gab's got a switch."

All Luca had to do was make the slightest movement that gave away any discomfort and Gabriele would bear his fangs and pounce.

"D'you have a switch?" Pierre asks and Sydney hummed before shrugging.

"Of course I do." He smiled happily as he prepares himself for the show. "But I think it's not as scary as Gab and Enzo."

Oh, it's definitely as scary as Gab and Enzo.

On the other side of the room, their compliments meant something else to Gabriele.

He hears different.

"What a brat." Was what they were probably wanting to say.

"She doesn't look like her family." Was what they'll probably say.

"Bratty bitch, she just smirked at us!"

Luca whined when a woman pinched her cheeks rather roughly.

Sydney's eyes were filled with nothing but a dangerous amusement as he saw Gabriele's thin line of sanity snap in front of everybody.

Gabriele slapped her hand away from Luca. His eyes were glinting dangerously at the group.

"Ah, I like where this is going." Sydeny said while gracefully swirling his glass.

Pierre shakes his head. "You're sadistic."

Sydney snorted. "Nah, I think Gab's got that title."

Meanwhile, everyone who saw Gabriele's action was now staring at him with their eyes wide.

Enzo sighed and thought that he wouldn't be responsible for hospital fees this time.

Gabriele smiled widely. His innocent smile scared people because his eyes were showing something else.

It was as if he's skinning them alive.

It's as if he's a serial killer.

There was a dangerous glint in his eyes that just shook people.

"Don't touch her." He possessively commanded, his voice was low and smooth. Dangerous and probably one of the most scariest things everyone have ever heard from a mere human.

No, of course he's not human.

If their father's the devil then his sons were also the devils as well.

The lady, whose hand just got slapped harshly, laughed nervously. "G-Gabriele, you don't have to slap my hand away. You're so r-rude."

"Me? Rude?" He laughed humorlessly. "I don't think that you have any rights to say that, you useless piece of scumbag."

Luca looked up at him. "Wha's a scumbag?"

Gabriele hummed and kissed the crown of her head lovingly. "A scumbag, il mio bambina, is someone who's very useless. Very bad. Very, very annoying."

He glances up at the group. His eyes were glinting with sadistic glee as he continued to smile genuinely at his little sister.

"Like a cockroach who's not willing to get squashed and just die."

Oh, Fuck.

He may be smiling softly at Luca. He may be talking to her softly but mamma mia they're all staring at death's door.

His sanity just went offline.

Swoosh. Swish. Boom. Fwip. Flip. Outta the window.

Buh-bye to that!

It was replaced by a sadistic monster. 

Nothing compared to the sweet talking Gabriele from earlier.

Did his sister really change Gabriele in a matter of seconds?

Was she also a beast?

They all looked at Luca but Gabriele hugged her protectively, hiding her face from everybody.

"Don't." He said softly.

"Gabi, I'm thirsty." She said again and the man rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah. Jeez, such a bossy brat."

Without saying goodbye, he turned around and just walked away.

Luca huffed up at him, oblivious of dark Gabriele ascending. "Not a brat!"

He chuckled and kissed the crown of her head. "Yeah, whatever you say, bambina."
