"Hey Ellie" Ashton says to me
We've had so many conversations but still I always get excited when he talks to me.
"Hey ash!" UGH! Why did I need to sound so... so... giggly? I can never say anything normal to him!
He gave me a smile and I instantly felt as if I was flooded with relief.
We stand smiling at each other for a few seconds until Michael butts in.
"Ellie." He says in a dead serious voice "what's all over your face?"
"My face?" Oh my God! Is there something on my face embarrassing or in my teeth? Or did I mess up on my makeup? Instantly my hand jerks up to my face trying to wipe off the mysterious substance Michael claims I have on my face.
Suddenly Michael bursts out with laughter.
"El, there's nothing on your face!"
Another fit of laughter followed by:
"Don't look so concerned! It's just me and Ashton!"
"Yeah, Ellie! It's just me..." Ashton adds
"I hate you Michael" I reply somewhat shocked by Ashton's comment of it being 'just him' yet I suspected it. After all, he's almost my brother. Oh hey, another reason he'll never like me. "Fine. Whatever. Just my two brothers."
A strange look briefly passes over Ashton's face but within seconds he is back to his usual, happy self.
"Oh Ellie, mom wanted to tell you Juliette  can sleep over. She and dad won't be home til late and she wanted you to be... I believe her exact wording was... 'Accompanied by a peer'."
"Juliette should totally come over, Ellie!! We could have another board game war to the death like last time!!" Ashton yells
"You're going down" I reply
