Pointe
The day had gone by quickly, and Noelle was getting more anxious as the hours drew closer to having to get ready for her performance. Coriolanus was doing his best to keep her calm and reassure her that everything would be okay. Her nerves were currently getting the better of her, Noelle was struggling to think about her classes, and her notes weren't as great as they normally would be. Coriolanus had to make sure that she got his notes after each lesson, not wanting her to fall behind and screw herself over.
The school day had come to an end; Coriolanus walked with Noelle to the theatre, making sure to give her praise as much as he could before parting ways until later in the evening. Noelle got into her leotard that she practised in, Noelle waited for her turn to practice on the stage, she did her routine perfectly and the brunette just hoped that it would translate to the actual performance.
The brunette had her hair and makeup done, she got her dress on, and finally her pointe shoes. Noelle furrowed her eyebrows as a rhythmic knock filled her ears, she opened the door and burst into a wide smile seeing Coriolanus with a box in his hands.
"Corio, what are you doing here?"
"I wanted to come up here, tell you to break a leg out there, see how you are doing and give you this." Coriolanus passed the box to her, allowing himself in and grabbed her hand to have her sitting down in the chair. Noelle brightly smiled at him, she opened the box, her mouth opening in shock upon seeing the snowflake necklace.
"Coriolanus Snow, you did not have to do this for me." The blonde boy shook his head, smiling lovingly at the brunette girl, he crouched down and grabbed her free hand.
"I did too. Noelle, you deserve it." Noelle carefully placed the box to the side, she hugged him tightly, careful to make sure she didn't ruin her makeup or hair.
"Could you put it on for me please?" Coriolanus nodded, grabbed the box, placed the necklace on and helped her to her feet. Noelle grabbed his hands, staring at him sweetly, her eyes widened in remembrance and she swore under her breath.
"Shit, I need my tiara." She frantically searched for it, trying to search for the thing, Coriolanus grabbed it off a shelf, got Noelle to calm down and placed it on the top of her head. Coriolanus kissed her hands, soaking in the picture of her in her costume, Noelle smiled at him and grabbed his hands.
"Thank you, Corio, I'll see you after my performance. Say hello to, Tigris please."
"I will break a leg out there." Noelle closed the door behind him, did some stretches and then walked out to the wings of the stage. Noelle strutted onto the stage, stopped in the centre and knelt down, Coriolanus watched the complete change of emotions as the music started, Noelle expressed the emotions so beautifully and expressed the story of betrayal and death that it brought tears to Coriolanus' eyes.
Coriolanus was the first one to his feet, clapping and cheering the loudest, Noelle smiled brightly to the audience and waved as she walked off. The two blondes watching Noelle walked away to meet her at her dressing room, Noelle had already taken her hair out, got her makeup off and placed her shoes away. She remained in her dress, rubbing her temples as she stared at herself in the mirror but smiled at the necklace Coriolanus gave her. The two blondes knocked on Noelle's dressing room door, smiling at her as she stood up and turned to them both.
"You were beautiful out there, Noelle." Tigris complimented, giving a friendly hug and then stepped aside to allow Noelle to hug Coriolanus. Noelle stood on her tippy-toes to make life easier for Coriolanus, he wrapped his arms low around her waist, dragging her into his chest and buried his face into the crook of her neck.
"You were stunning out there, brought tears to my eyes, I've never seen dancing that beautiful before." Noelle took a few deep breaths, thanking him quietly, his cologne watching over her like a wave and embedding itself in her nostrils.
"Thank you, both of you," Noelle whispered, hugging them both, smiling as Coriolanus pulled her into his side and kept a hand resting on her waist.
The brunette leant into his side, smiling as he gave a reassuring squeeze to her side, she took a step back and looked at the two with a curious gaze entering her eyes as they both stared at her with the same gaze in their eyes.
"Would you like to come over for dinner?" Noelle nodded, grabbing her shoes and her bag. The brunette jumped as Coriolanus placed his coat over her shoulders, making sure that she was warm before grabbing her hand gently.
"Nice and warm?"
"Yes, thank you." He smiled softly, pecking the side of her forehead, making sure that she had everything she needed before leaving with his cousin and friend. Once the trio made it to the Snow household, Noelle placed her stuff by the door, passed Coriolanus' coat to him and excused herself to the bathroom.
Coriolanus watched as she walked off, her hair swaying as she walked away, Tigris began making dinner with the help of Coriolanus while he waited for Noelle. The girl walked into the living area, furrowing her eyebrows confused and then started making her way towards the noise. Coriolanus glanced to see her standing in the doorway; Noelle raised her hand to wave at him, grinning as he waved back.
Noelle walked in, wanting to help them out, and she immediately started going to the dishes to wash them. Tigris tutted, politely telling the brunette that she didn't need to do anything, Noelle, being the person she is, ignored Tigris and continued to clean up the dishes that were being collected before the cooking started and whatever started collecting while Tigris was cooking. Coriolanus sighed, tutting playfully and lifted the brunette up, throwing her over his shoulder and started carrying her out of the kitchen.
The girl shrieked in surprise, clutching onto his back, her head feeling fuzzy as she hung upside down and bounced with him as he headed to the living room. He carefully placed Noelle down on the couch, carefully grabbed her face, smiled softly and kissed her forehead.
"I just want to help." She complained, smiling as he grabbed her hand, giving it a squeeze and sat beside her. Noelle fiddled with the necklace, smiling at Coriolanus as he grabbed her hand, Noelle glanced around the living space and then turned to see Coriolanus fondly smiling at her.
"I know you want to help but you're our guest and you just worked your butt off tonight. It's time you rest." Noelle complied, nodding softly as Coriolanus gently rubbed her upper arm, the ballerina played with the end of her dress and turned to Coriolanus.
"You really liked it, Corio?"
"I did, you were stunning on that stage, everyone was really watching and you've got pure talent. I've always known that." Noelle thanked him, feeling bad that she needed constant reminders from the boy that she was good and that it always seemed to be what he was doing for her.
"I know that look, don't apologise for needing the reassurance. I'll mean it until the day I die." Noelle thanked him quietly, turning to see Tigris leaving the kitchen and placing the plates on the dining room table.
"Dinner's ready, guys." Coriolanus helped Noelle to her feet and then led her to the table. Noelle thanked Tirgris for cooking, casually talking with the two, soaking in the time, hoping that this wouldn't end because she did not want to go home and leave the safety of the place she was currently in.
