Education
The trees swayed with the breeze and the rustling of the leaves brought a sense of calm to Noelle. The grass tickled her feet, and the sweet smell of the flowers filled her nostrils, she was happy and she was calm. The brunette lay in the grass, the blades hugging her with a gentleness that made her feel secure and safe.
The brunette stared at the clouds, her mind making images of the clouds as they blew across the sky, the sun engulfed her with a comforting warmth and danced across her skin. Noelle closed her eyes, just soaking in the comfort that the current place provided, a shadow covered her face... she could feel it as the warmth on her face disappeared. Noelle opened her eyes, a smile instantly covering her lips as Coriolanus stood over her. She pushed herself to her feet Coriolanus wrapped his arms around her, his arms securely wrapped around her waist, while Noelle rested her arms on his shoulders.
"Dance with me?" Noelle smiled, nodding as he positioned his hands so he could dance with her, the two swayed to an unfamiliar soft tune that Noelle couldn't actually make out to be any kind of words but she knew that there was.
The brunette glanced to the side, staring at a doe that stared back at her, Noelle slipped away from Coriolanus to approach the doe and then as she got too close it just disappeared. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, she spun around searching for it but only saw Coriolanus standing in the meadow, everything was seemingly normal but it didn't really make sense.
"Noelle, are you okay?" She shook off the thought of the doe and smiled at Coriolanus as he lightly grabbed her face, staring into her eyes and surveying her features.
"Yeah, sorry... Corio." He smiled, going back to dancing with her, the two danced for a few moments before Noelle saw the doe again with a rose in its mouth. The brunette escaped from Coriolanus' hold, moving towards the doe, it approached her and placed the rose in her hand. Noelle inspected the rose, the petals were red and white as if it had originally been one colour but were changing to another.
Her mind drifts back to a conversation that she once had with Coriolanus.
"The white symbolises innocence, the red symbolises the loss of innocence. Red is not pure, white is and you, Noelle are the essence of innocence and purity."
Noelle's eyes widened as blood trickled down the rose, onto her hand, she flung the rose out of her hand and her breathing became quick and raspy. The blood crept up her arm, covering her right arm completely until all there was blood covering herself and trickling onto the ground.
"Corio, help me." She cried out, shaking at the amount of blood that she was covered in, the brunette looked at Coriolanus with desperation in her eyes and fear growing over her. He took her hand, leading her to a lake, he got the girl into the water, the blood instantly being soaked away in the water.
Coriolanus got Noelle to their little cottage near the meadow, the cottage was homey and safe, it was their place and the cottage was a place where the two could just be who they wanted to be and not worry about anyone else. The blonde got her to have a shower while he prepared things that weren't stained with blood.
Noelle thanked Coriolanus as he gave her some pyjamas, she changed into them, making her way to the kitchen once she was dressed and sat on the counter. He stood in front of her, grabbed her hands, smiled softly at her and kissed her cheek as she took his hands to hold.
"I love this place and I love y-" Everything began to fade away; Noelle tried grasping for Coriolanus but everything faded to black until she awoke in her bedroom back in Coriolanus' home in the Capitol.
Sitting up, she groaned, rubbing her face and thought about her dream that was all too vivid in her mind. The brunette did not understand it, did not understand what it meant and why her subconscious created this dream. Coriolanus knocked on the door, waiting for a response to be allowed in, Noelle gave him the okay and smiled as the blonde walked in.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, just had a really vivid dream, it was odd and really vivid. That's all." He nodded, letting his eyes trail over her as he gazed around her room.
"Bad dream?"
"Kinda, it was nice at first but then it went weird. So nothing really that needs to be worried about. Coriolanus simply nodded, sitting beside her, watching as she curled into his side and stared at the wall.
"Do we have to go to the academy today?" She whispered, yawning tiredly, still in the process of waking up.
"I'm afraid so, darling." Noelle groaned, burying her face into his chest, not wanting to be educated and just lay in bed all day long.
"I'll go get some breakfast, you get dressed, okay?" Noelle nodded, pushing herself to find her uniform and finish getting ready for the morning. The brunette, got into her uniform, one that she hated, yet she dealt with it every day and then she proceeded to find Coriolanus setting down some toast and jam.
Tigris and Grandma'am were both still sleeping, giving the two seventeen-year-olds to just enjoy their time together over something as simple as having breakfast.
"What was your dream about?"
"There was this meadow, it looked similar to what I saw in those videos I was watching the other day, you and I lived in this cottage together, there was this doe that had a rose and the rose was a mix of white and red. I took the rose and it bled all over me. I told you it was a weird dream." She offered a small smile, giving a sheepish look based on his facial expression, as Noelle thought more and more about her dream, she remembered hearing a song but she couldn't vocalise the tunes or the possible lyrics.
"There was a girl singing, I can remember the tune but I can't vocalise the lyrics or the tune." Coriolanus sucked in a breath, trying to find words that could offer some support to the girl.
"Could mean something. Predict some kind of future. Something you want?"
"Possibly. Thanks, Corio." He nodded, finishing off his breakfast, keeping an eye on Noelle as she dazed off into her food and did all her actions based on 'autopilot' responses. The brunette cleaned up, refusing to allow Coriolanus to do anything but brush his teeth and gather his items together. Noelle did the same once Coriolanus was done doing his thing, the two walked to school together, hand in hand with love-stricken looks in their eyes.
