Confusion
When Noelle awoke in the morning, she was utterly confused, she was in a room she wasn't familiar with and still in her ballet dress. What made her even more confused was that the room was filled with her items from her original room and she even had her stuffed bear. The brunette pushed herself to leave the bedroom, relaxing almost instantly as she realised she was in Coriolanus' home, Noelle smiled seeing the blonde boy placing some food down on the table.
"Corio, what did you do?" The blonde boy jumped, not expecting her to be awake yet, he walked over to her and got her to the table. Noelle watched him, unsure of what exactly she should do or how she should proceed with discussing why all her things were now in his home.
"Sit down please, I was about to get you and explain." Noelle nodded, sitting at the dining room table, Coriolanus took a breath and began spilling out the words that he had been practising all night. He needed Noella to know that he did this out of the goodness in his heart, the brunette grabbed some of the food, watching Coriolanus easily find the words to say and convince her of what he did.
Coriolanus grabbed some breakfast for himself; watching Noelle tiredly eat, trying to wake up, from the good sleep that she wasn't used to.
"You're living here now, I got everything yesterday while you were sleeping-"
"But my father-"
"He said it was fine. He just allowed it to happen." Noelle nodded, looking surprised but nonetheless pleased with the outcome, the smile faded quickly and she looked at Coriolanus hesitantly.
"Did he want anything in return? Ask for anything?" Coriolanus shook his head, lying to the girl, not wanting her to worry about what could be the consequence of being able to live with Coriolanus and his family.
"Coriolanus you did not have to do that by yourself, you could have woken me up and we could have done it together." He shook his head, finishing the food he had in his mouth, Noelle smiled at him and waited for him to respond to her words.
"You needed the sleep, you needed it. I could tell. Besides, I wanted to give you the chance to relax and take the time to not worry about what he would do if he was there when we got there." Coriolanus explained, earning a nod from Noelle, once she saw that he was done and decided that she was done, Noelle grabbed everything off the table and began walking to the kitchen.
Coriolanus chased after her; took everything from her hands, tutting softly and placed everything to the side. Noelle remembered the conversation they had, she shook her head and crossed her arms across her chest.
"I am no longer a guest, I live here, so I get to help out now."
"You fell asleep early yesterday, so have a shower, get out of your ballet dress and wash yesterday away. I can handle this. Everything in your room should be easy to find, so you should have no trouble searching for anything." Seeing the look in his soft ocean orbs made her smile playfully, knowing that his look was playful but that he would also like her to listen to his request.
"Fine. Though, after today I will be doing things to help around, I owe you and your family for taking me in."
"Noelle, you owe us nothing."
"I do because your family is already struggling and you don't need another burden that just smooches off of you all. So, after I change and shower please give me something to do so I can pay you back."
"Okay, sure." Noelle nodded with a small smile, hugging him and then kissed his cheek.
"I'll find you shortly." She whispered, walking to her room, gathering new clothes for the day and then searching for the bathroom. Coriolanus gave her items a spot on the counter, there was also a towel with her initials embroidered into the corner, making it symbolise that it was her to use and keep.
The girl took a quick shower; quickly got dried off and got her outfit for the day on. The brunette walked out of the bathroom, searching for Coriolanus, shrieking as arms snaked around her waist and lifted her into the air. Despite not being able to see who had her, she knew the smell all too well, relaxing in the arms of her friend.
"You're like a deer. Innocent but jumpy."
"Ha. Ha. Ha." Noelle rolled her eyes, biting back a smile, turning around to face Coriolanus and raising an eyebrow. Noelle rested her hands on his shoulders, staring into his eyes feeling a magnetic pull towards his face, her body felt as if she were possessed and that she were unable to control her body.
The blonde noticed how her eyes sparkled; how her lips were so soft looking, he tucked some of her hair behind her ears, taking in her beauty and the perfectness of her innocent look. Noelle felt her heart pounding through her chest, Noelle loved the fluffy look that belonged to Coriolanus' hair, and her hands started to shake as she tried to push herself to take the step off the ledge.
Coriolanus cupped her face in his hands; leaning closer towards her face, both were just as mesmerised as the other, Noelle pulled away first forcing a smile to prove that as if what may have happened didn't happen.
"I'm... I'm going to go to the library- I'll see you later. Okay, Corio?" Noelle didn't wait for a response, she grabbed some items and ran out of the house. Coriolanus tried to call out for her but she was quick to leave and to disappear out of sight.
"What was that all about? Is everything okay?" Tigris asked seeing Coriolanus' stunned look, the blonde boy turned to face his cousin, clearing his throat but looked too stunned to actually be able to comprehend what could have happened if Noelle hadn't pulled back.
"I don't really know, we might have kissed... I'm unsure. I need to go check on her-" Tigris grabbed his arm, pulling him back, looking at her cousin and rested her hands on his arms.
"Just give her ten minutes alone before going, okay? She's probably just as confused and maybe freaking out just as badly. Okay? You also need to calm down. Get some clarity." Coriolanus took Tigris' advice, gave it ten minutes and then started heading down to the library, he found Noelle watching a video about the Districts and taking notes about the locations.
The blonde sat beside her, looking at her notes, curious about two things:
1) What caused her to write about the Districts?
2) What went down between the two?
"Noelle. We should talk." He whispered, looking at the notes, desperately needing to figure out where the two stood and what was actually going through her head.
"Which District do you think looks nicer? Forget about everything else, which District looks nice out of these three?" He pushed his other thoughts aside, watching the clips of the Districts that Noelle showed him, Coriolanus saw videos that showed the scenery of Districts, 4, 7 and 12.
"I like District 12. Has a vibe that reminds me of you." Noelle thanked him, nodding to herself, going through a thought process before turning back to him.
"How so?"
"I hear your voice in the breeze. I can feel your footsteps on the ground- I see your face in every place I look." Coriolanus confessed, his voice quavering with its meaning, Noelle smiled fondly and turned to face him properly.
"That's very poetic."
"Get my artistic side from watching you." Noelle blushed, biting her lower lip to contain the giddy feeling bubbling in her belly.
