"And finally, the tennis courts." Mr Jung concluded, gesticulating widely to the various courts and ongoing matches in front of Jeongguk. "You'll be stationed in the court in the far right, and you'll be assigned to the club owner's son."

"Wow." Jeongguk said.

"I know; it's a big responsibility." Mr Jung sympathised, "But Cornelius isn't here and that was his assignment too, so we have to give it to you. He's not the most amicable person ever, so just be warned that there probably won't be much friendship between you two. He's quite an intimidating person to be around. Nonetheless, I trust that your assistance to him will be satisfactory, yes?"

"Err, yes. Very stationary." Jeongguk said, watching as Mr Jung laughed at him a bit. They walked over to the court, and Jeongguk was led over to a tall man around his age with floppy brown hair and a white headband pushing back his fringe, exposing his dark, brooding eyebrows. He was rallying with the person opposite him, and their rhythm was fast paced and intense.

"Kim! Come here." Mr Jung called, startling the boy and making him miss the return, causing him to curse loudly. Abruptly, he turned to face them, clearly irritated at having been disturbed during practice. He violently threw his racket onto the floor and stormed over, seething with passionate rage.

"What." he barked aggressively.

"Jeongguk, this is Taehyung. Taehyung, this is Jeongguk." Mr Jung informed.

"So what?" Tae snapped.

"He's going to be your ball boy replacement."

"Where's Cornelius?"

"Injured. I don't really know why." Mr Jung mused, and Jeongguk looked away guiltily.

"Why is this guy the replacement? He looks too old."

"I'm not old." Jeongguk protested. "I'm only 21."

"Yikes."

"Taehyung don't be rude." Mr Jung chastised.

"Hoseok, I'm not going to have this guy be my ball boy. I mean, what if he needs a hip replacement or something?"

"I don't need a hip replacement!" Jeongguk said in offence. "I'm virtually a stallion."

"What happened to all the other children?"

"Underqualified." Hoseok said, "Jeongguk here was the best we could do."

"Why do you say that like it's a bad thing?" Jeongguk whined, but nobody was listening to him.

"Seriously? Nobody else? He sticks out from the other ball boys like a sore thumb. Is he even going to be allowed to assist in matches?"

"Well, I'm sure we can work things out when that problem arises, Taehyung. But for now, Jeongguk will be your ball boy."

"This is literally so unfair." Tae groaned. "A fully grown adult trailing behind me all day. It was bad enough when it was kids but at least they shut up at the presence of ice cream. I don't want Jeongguk to be my ball boy.

"Sorry am I interrupting your conversation about me? Should I leave?" Jeongguk asks, very pissed off.

"I couldn't care less; you'll be leaving by the end of the day." Tae sneered.

"Actually, I'm here for the summer."

"Not if I have anything to do with it." Tae said. "I'll get my dad to find a new replacement."

"Good luck with that; he was one of the first people who shook my hand today." Jeongguk said triumphantly.

"Oh my god please just shut the fuck up and leave. I don't want you here."

"Well tough shit coz I'm here to stay. Run me my money bitch." Jeongguk argued.

"Okay, well it seems like you two are getting on great." Hoseok said awkwardly, "I'll get going and um...be in my office. Far away from you two." He said as he left quickly, not wanting to be present when shit hit the fan.

"Well, I was under the impression that I'd be picking up tennis balls from the pitch today." Jeongguk said.

"It's called a court, you neanderthal." Taehyung corrected.

"Potato potahtoe." Jeongguk dismissed. "Are you going to stand there or are you going to play tennis? I get paid either way, so I don't care."

"Fine then." Taehyung said through gritted teeth. "If you're really here to stay, then I'm going to make your life miserable."

"I've already had to hold a conversation with you; I don't think it could get much worse than that." Jeongguk said smugly.

"Let's go and practice." Taehyung sighed, "I really don't have time for this."

"Whatever you say, Tae."

"Don't call me that."

"What can I call you then? TaeTae? Tata? Taehyungie? TootToot?"

"Nothing. Don't call me anything. I don't even want you to address me."

"Wow. Bossy boots." Jeongguk mumbled under his breath.

"Yeah, well you'd better get used to it, because I'll be in charge of you for the whole summer." Taehyung smirked mischievously. He picked up a sack of tennis balls and handed them to Jeongguk.

"Come along then. I've got so much for you to do."

"Dear god, kill me now." Jeongguk muttered.

"Hurry up!"

"Yeah yeah yeah I'm coming." Jeongguk rolled his eyes.

"Oh, and Jeongguk?" Taehyung turned around and batted his eyelashes sweetly.

"Yeah?"

"Your shorts are inside out." Taehyung laughed before walking off.

"Son of a bitch."
