Notebook 1

~Key:
•(m/h/c) = mom's hair color
•(y/n) = your name

You stepped out of the car, one foot hitting the ground. You followed through with the next, taking in a breath of fresh air while you exited the vehicle. "Have a great day at school, honey," your mom called out to you. Turning to her with a smile, you nodded. "Thanks, mom!" A look of realization swept across the (m/h/c)-haired woman's face, prompting her to reach down and grab a paper bag. Handing it to you, she spoke. "I almost forgot your lunch! Geez, I'm getting old," your mother scolded herself. You giggled. "It's fine, mom. Thanks! I love you!" "I love you too, (y/n). Bye~!" Your mother waved to you before rolling up the window on the right and driving away.

Taking a deep breath, you turned around once more to face the school you had just transferred to. "I hope the people here are nice," you muttered, walking down the straight path that lead to the double-doors of the school. With your bagged lunch in hand and your bookbag over your shoulder, you used your free hand to push open one of the doors. Your eyes gazed all around the school for a few moments before you were startled a bit by a rather... strange voice. "Oh, hi! Welcome to my schoolhouse!" You looked in front of you, and there stood a tall man who was wearing a green shirt and some blue jeans. He was bald, except for one little brownish hair that lay atop his head. His eyebrows were large, and his red lips were curled into a big smile. He looked at you silently, probably expecting a response of some sort. "Uh. H-hi," you replied, not knowing what to say or do. "My name's Baldi! I'm a teacher here. What's your name?" His voice sounded happy, and it reminded you a bit of Squidward... you couldn't really describe it any other way.

You looked him up and down for a second, trying not to be rude or awkward. You... didn't really question his name, either. "I'm (y/n). I just transferred here..." You tried to hide your nervousness, but couldn't help but stare at the ground in an attempt to avoid eye contact. You weren't normally shy around people... unless you were meeting them for the first time. Baldi chuckled. "There's no need to be nervous! You'll like it here!" You could practically feel him smiling. It was a bit unsettling, but you decided to shrug it off. He was probably just doing his best to make you feel welcome. "Okay, I'll do my best," you said, looking up at him after a moment. "Great! Now, do you see these two rooms behind me? The one closest to us will be your classroom for today! Just go on inside, and there should be a notebook on the desk! To earn it, you'll have to answer three math problems! You'll have seven notebooks by the end of the week, with one for each day. Next week, we'll be learning a different subject! Sound good?" You nodded. "Doesn't sound too hard." "Glad you think so! Class begins... now!"

At that exact moment, a schoolbell went off. You tried not to jump, but with the way it scared you, you probably did. You gave Baldi a nervous smile as you walked by him. The class he described was marked by a blue door labeled '99'. You pushed it open before taking a step inside. 'It's a little strange how they do things here. And why is this class empty," you thought to yourself as you looked around the, well... empty classroom. However, there was a notebook on the desk at the front of the class, just like Baldi had said. It was pink. You looked at it for a second before shrugging and taking off your bookbag. Setting it in one of the chairs, as well as putting your lunch on the desk, you walked up to the front of the room. Next to the notebook was something reminiscent of an iPad. 'You Can Think Pad™'. Huh... oh well! You picked it up, and it turned on almost instantly.

Baldi appeared on the bottom left of the tablet. 'A facecam? Wow. Didn't expect that.' "It's time for everybody's favorite subject: math! Just type in your answer to the math problem, and press enter on the keypad when you think you have the answer! If you get all three problems correct, you might get something special! Problem one: seven minus nine equals...?" You typed in the answer: -2. "Great job," Baldi congratulated. "Problem two: three plus six equals...?" This was a breeze. You typed in 9. "That's right! Problem three: ten minus seven equals...?" You typed in 3. "You're doing fantastic!" Upon Baldi congratulating you for the last time, the tablet shut off. "I guess I get to take the notebook now?" You picked up the notebook and walked back over to where you put your bookbag. You unzipped it, and put the notebook inside of your bookbag before slinging it back over your shoulder. You picked up your bagged lunch as Baldi called you out of the room. As you met with him, he looked down at you happily. "You did great! Here's your prize!" He held out his hand to reveal a quarter. "Thanks," you exclaimed. Truth be told, you didn't even expect a prize, so you were happy with just a simple quarter. You put it in your pocket. "That's all for today! You can eat your lunch now," Baldi said. He gave you directions to the cafeteria.

Once you made it there, you sat down and began to eat. Your mom had packed you an apple, a soda, and a pizza Lunchable! Nice! After finishing your food, you happily recycled the trash, as well as your paper bag. You went back to the table to get your bookbag which you had taken off prior to eating your food, but you were interrupted by the voice of... a little girl? "Let's play!" You looked down in shock, and there was a small girl standing there. She had messy brown hair, wore a red shirt, and held a jump-rope in her hand. Not wanting to upset her, you complied. She held the jump-rope out, and you stood in front of it. She began to swing it, and you timed your jumps perfectly. "One! Two! Three! Four! Five!" After you finished jumping, the girl wrapped up her jump-rope and smiled at you. "Wow, that's great! Let's play again... some time soon!" She then ran out of the cafeteria. You were a bit confused, but you smiled a bit to yourself before putting your bookbag back on. Going back to the lobby where Baldi still stood, you said goodbye. "My mom is here. Thanks for today," you waved at him. "No problem! See you tomorrow," he waved back at you as you walked out the double-doors.

You ran to your mom's car, and hopped in the passenger's seat. "Hi, honey! How was your first day at school?" "It was pretty good! The class was easy, and I played jump-rope with a little girl at lunch!" "That's great! Sounds like you'll have a good time here," she smiled. You smiled back at her, and looked out the window as she drove off. You would have an interesting time at this school, that's for sure.
