Chapter 1: Tutoring with Mr Baldi
"Hehe! You got it!"
"Great job!"
"I can't believe it. You're incredible!"
Professor Baldi was impressed with his top student, Emily Thing. She was the smartest student in the class and even the sweetest. Baldi loved her also for being the best. He didn't have less love though for the rest of his students, but he and Emily were close. Her father who was also the principal didn't treat her like his own daughter. He didn't show love toward her. Infront of the other teachers and students, Principal did act like he did love her, but Baldi knew it was all an act. She needed someone in her life. Someone to love and care for her. So Baldi became that someone for her.
Principal had noticed and didn't understand why a Baldi would treat a no one, something. Emily was nothing to him. All because his wife lied to him before she passed away.
After school hours, Baldi was tutoring Emily. She wanted to go to a good college and she wanted to the best to teach her more. Baldi liked that she asked him to tutor her. He loved helping his students. Especially for Emily. She maybe young to find a good college, but she was not planning to leave until she was 18.
"How about a test question?" He asked her.
"Ah what now!?" She gasped.
"It will be a bit tricky, but I will help ya." Baldi smiled. Suddenly he showed her a sheet it's strange scribbles on the paper.
This...this looks familiar...but how is this supposed to help me?
Once Baldi opened his mouth static sounds came out, "Plus...," more static, "...times," more static, "equals?"
Emily somewhat remembered Baldi talked about this before. Oh what was it!? It was a code something to do with the school.
Emily then remembered and wrote down 31718.
Baldi looked down and looked surprised. No one could ever solve his math impossible question. Except his cousin (by marriage), and his crazy step brother. He then smiled and patted her head, "You're fantastic, Emily!" He then hugged her. Emily blushed, but hugged her teacher back.
"I just remembered you talking about this impossible question." Emily said shyly.
"You know, you're probably the only person that has listened in my class," Baldi smiled, "that means a lot to me."
Emily then blushed up at him, "well, I really want to show my appreciation to you, Mr Baldi. You care so deeply for me and love and care for me more than my father does."
Baldi dropped his smile. Hearing her father, his boss made him mad at Principal, but he didn't show it to Emily. He smiled again and ruffled her hair. "Well, I don't see you any different from us, Emily. You're perfect for just who you are. Principal just doesn't see that."
Everyday after school hours Baldi would tutor Emily. It really didn't just help with her math skills, but also helped her having someone to care for her and love her more than anyone else could. When she was down or hurt, or even needed someone to talk to, Baldi was there. He would comfort her and listen to what she had to say. He really cared for this girl and she deserved so much better than how principal treated her.
Emily definitely was passing through the years. Baldi was also proud of her especially the other teachers and her classmates.
It was close to Emily's graduation and Playtime rushed to her, "Miss Emily! Who will jump rope with me when you leave?"
"Ah, don't worry, Playtime, I will still play with you. But you got Jimmy and Johnny. Even Beans." Emily smiled ruffling her curly hair.
"Hey! Check this out!" Beans shouted out.

"Beans! No!!!" Emily screamed.
Bean spit a giant ball of chewed gum and it hit both Emily and Playtime.
"Ewe!" Playtime whined, "Beans!"
"Sorry in advance," Beans replied. "Let's hope the grown ups didn't see."
"Well, could you atleast help us," Emily frowned.
"Hang on, let me get Bully," Beans rang off.
"NO!" Playtime and Emily screamed, but Beans already left.
Principal came by and noticed.
"Dad...a little help?" Emily asked,
"Emily, you know better to chew gum in the hallways!" Principal frowned, "look at Playtime."
"Me!? I didn't do this!"
"It's true. She didn't do it," Playtime agreed.
"Don't help her out just because she forced you, Playtime," Principal frowned at Playtime. He sighed and went to get Miss Pomp. The teacher and the principal had a giant pair of scissors to break off of the sticky bubblegum. Once free, Bully and Beans arrived.
Bully then turned to Beans and frowned, "you told me two girl were stuck. They weren't hot and aren't stuck!"
"I didn't say anything they were hot," Beans raised an eyebrow.
"Well, girls, we managed to get you both stuck, but we better get you washed up," Miss Pomp sighed. "You know where the showers are."
"But we need extra clothes," Emily replied.
"Well I have an extra dress and leggings," Playtime added. Miss Pomp took her to the basement where the showers and lockers were. For Emily, she turned to her father.
"Y-you think we could go back and I can shower and get teased there?" Emily asked.
Principal frowned and finally lost it. Everyone now could see his true nature towards Emily at this moment. "REALLY!?"
Beans, Bully, Miss Pomp, and Playtime froze in their places. First Prize and Arts and Crafters were nearby and heard him yell. Even Gotta Sweep Sweep the broom and the school's doctor, Dr Reflex.
"You think I would waste gas to drop you off home, come back here, and come back home!? Hell no I would!" Principal yelled.
"Principal!" Miss Pomp gasped, "you're around children."
Principal froze, he was so angry he forgot everyone could hear. But he didn't care anymore, "you think I care!? I don't care for that...that thing! She's not my daughter!"
Baldi overheard everything and stormed out of his office. He was holding his ruler, but it snapped in two for how hard he squeezed it. "What did you say, Principal?"
"Why do you care? She's not one of us, Mr Baldi! She's nothing." Principal growled.
Baldi frowned and smacked him across his face. Everyone gasped for what Baldi just did. Emily even shivered. She didn't expect this. Baldi was standing up for her towards her father.
"My office...now!" Principal frowned and stormed into the detention room. Baldi was frowning still, but then he sighed and walked towards his office.
Emily quickly grabbed his arm, "Mr Baldi..."
Baldi turned towards her and then made her let go of his arm. "It will be ok. Principal and I fight a lot," he held her face. "You go wash up. You will find some extra clothes for you."
He then went to the office and shut the door.
"You think Mr Baldi will get fired this time?" Beans asked.
"I hope not," Bully said.
"Now children, it will be alright," Miss Pomp encouraged the students, "Mr Baldi and Principal will talk this out. Let's get back to our places. Emily and Playtime, you girls can come with me."
Emily turned back to the detention room and teared up slightly. She feared Baldi would be suspended or worse fired for his behavior.
The good news came out that Baldi and Principal settled everything. Baldi kept his job only if he didn't interfere Principal everytime he would talk about Emily. The others though were confused of why Principal called her a nobody or even say she was not like them. What did he mean about that?
