You Always Make Me Worry

Blood

He ran as fast as he can with all his strength. The villain really did a number on him. It was cold out and the snow was starting to pick up pretty fast.

Sweat

He was out of breath. His chest heaving, and his throat burning with an aching sensation that was spreading to his sore tired muscles. He grips his side as he flees into an alleyway. He takes deep breaths and coughs as it seems slowing down is making the pain worse. The roars could be heard and he felt so stupid for running away.

The blood spills out a little and slips past his white gloves staining them a delicious bloody red. The thick liquid seeping through the gloves as it drops to the floor. The roars and taunts becoming more audible and screaming was heard. The greenette groans as he lifts his hand from the wounds and the suit had a big tear in it. The sight was gruesome and the wound looked bad. Something wasn't right.

Christmas always around the corner and Izuku was still on a mission. This had been a long one. One that he didn't think would take as long as it has. Izuku's ear piece was broken so he couldn't talk to anyone in that line. He did however have his phone.

It was currently getting darker outside and Izuku's wound obviously wasn't going to get better. It felt like it was going to get worse. Much worse. Izuku was sliced with a knife, and lets just say this knife was particularly the sharpest one out of all the others he dodged.

Izuku took his phone out and proceeded to go to his speed dial.

Katsuki was at home cooking spicy udon. He added noodles and made sure the water was slightly flavored first. He gets out more ingredient and turns up the television.

Today we have Number One Pro Hero Deku on a mission to take down a seriously Infamous villain. The jubilant hero who brings peace to everyone gives us light and hope. Right now, pro hero Uravity is in Matsu defeating Hand Crusher. As we show a clip here, she seems to use one of her special moves to take him out. Wait- lets replay that. YES! Isn't that awesome! Now back to Deku, he hasn't returned and we just got word that the villain is in Matsu as well!

Katsuki turns off the television to another channel and some Christmas movie was playing. He once again skipped through channels not being able to find anything of interest. He clenches his jaw in annoyance and settles on an instrumental Christmas music channel.

As he was cutting up some boiled eggs he receives a phone call. He groans not wanting to deal with anybody today. He was tempted to just let the damn phone ring but he had this gut feeling he should look at who was calling him. He thought it might have been Kirishima, and if it had he would have hung up his phone. He would hang up on anybody.

He picks it up seeing that it was Deku. He questions it at first. Why the hell is he calling during a missions unless it was serious. He quickly picks up the phone.

Katsuki: Deku?
Izuku: K... Katsuki... *groans*
Katsuki: What the hell? Why are you calling me? What's wrong?
Izuku: It Hurts.
Katsuki: What hurts?! Deku?!
Izuku: The villains knife sliced me, somethings wrong it hurts so so bad!
Katsuki: What the hell?! What did that bastard do?! I'm coming there, stay put! Where are you?
Izuku: M-Matsu!
Katsuki: Yeah, no shit! I know that but where?
Izuku: in an ally...
Katsuki: Okay, stay there, I'll find you. Please don't die on me.
Izuku: No promises...

As Izuku says that the call ends. Katsuki wanted to screamed. He runs to slip on his hero suit and he turns off the stove to make sure the house didn't burn down. Then he proceeded to make his way over to Matsu. Matsu was actually pretty close, a 20 minute walk from where they lived but that would be too long. Katsuki practically uses his explosives to fly over in less than 5 minutes. He made it and saw all the destruction and chaos. He ran from area to are trying to find Izuku.

Izuku didn't know if Katsuki was going to make it on time. Izuku takes a look at the wound and sees his veins turn a blue-ish color. Not like normal, more like iridescent and sparkly. That knife had something on it. "Finally found you. Hero." Izuku's eyes widened as he dodged an attack but he coughed up blood and tried to sprint away. He kicked in his power but it didn't seem to do anything. He was loosing speed. The villain was about to shoot him with a gun and Izuku looked back right as the bullet flew. He then felt a sudden fast pull. He wasn't hit. Katsuki was holding him.

Izuku coughed up blood again and Katsuki looks down, a scowl still on his face but you could still see the concern and pain sinking in. Katsuki steps in front of Izuku as Izuku's knees bend. He was in a fighting position but in all honesty he was trying to keep his body up. He was getting weaker by the minute and his body was starting to feel the affects.

Katsuki sends and explosion that didn't seem to phase the villain. He picks up Izuku without a second thought and starts running. The villain runs after them but with less force. Katsuki felt Izuku's weight weigh him down a bit but that wasn't going to stop him from saving him. He was too stubborn for that. Izuku one the other hand. Felt his consciousness slip away and everything went black.

He heard mumbling and felt something touch his face. Or rather roughly tap it. He opens his eyes and sees a worried Katsuki. "Kat..." Izuku croaks out and Katsuki's hands rests upon Izuku's pale bruised cheek. He smiled a little.

     "Izuku, can you stand?"

Izuku tried to stand up and stumbled a bit. More blood poured out of his mouth but it was slightly darker. Katsuki has one of his hands in his and his other hand resting on Izuku's midsection to help him stand.

"I need you to run." Katsuki states.

"E-excuse me, w-what?!" Izuku questions and a huge roar was heard followed along with little taunts and threats.

"I'm going to handle this while you run and get help. They shouldn't be too far away from here, you'll make it. Some are already in their way-"

"WAIT!" Izuku yells. "Why the hell are you being so vague? Who are these people you are referring too? And w-why are you asking me to run away from you. From a fight? You know that I won't ever stop fighting, especially for you!"

     "I know."

"Then why the hell are YOU AKSING ME TO RUN AWAY?!" Izuku says with tears in his eyes. The villain wasn't far now.

"Those are the reasons why I'm asking you to run. I know you don't want to, but you have to. You are dying and I'm not going to have that on my conscience. So please run!"

Izuku didn't know what to think. Until they heard people. Izuku was suddenly lifted up. "Thank you, now get your asses out of here. Help me half n' half bastard!"

Izuku felt the pain in his side shoot up and he groaned in pain as he felt someone pick him up. Iida. Izuku couldn't believe this was happening. What the hell was his boyfriend doing? "WHAT THE HELL KATSUKI! WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA, HUH?!" Izuku yells with tears of pain and misery in his eyes. He didn't want Kacchan hurt.

     "Make sure he's safe."

"SCREW YOU! DUMBASS WE'RE A TEAM! WE FIGHT TOGETHER! THIS IS NOT-"

"UP FOR DEBATE! THIS IS NOT UP FOR DEBATE IZUKU. Leave, don't look back, or I swear I'll kill you." Katsuki jumps in. They usually finish each other's sentences. They just don't do that often in front of others.

"You're the one who will get killed..." Izuku whispers but everyone still heard it. Iida started his gears up and Izuku almost cried. No. No, NO, NO! It wasn't supposed to end this way. Him and Katsuki were supposed to be together forever. They were endgame. They were there for each other. Always.

The world around them set ablaze. Fire burning everything in a small alley they were in. It was chilly outside but the fire was making it too bearable. Izuku closed his eyes as he felt the heat dissipate and Katsuki's presents vanish. He opened his tear filled eyes to see the villain, Katsuki and Todoroki up for a fight. Todoroki froze half of the villain and most of the fire was melting the ice but the ice was more stable. The ice wouldn't melt too easily.

Izuku saw Katsuki glance his way and Izuku mouthed I love you. Katsuki shouldn't have been able to see it. Or hear it. He really shouldn't have, but he did. He managed to see Izuku mouth it. He didn't know how but he just said it back. I love you too.

Izuku wakes up. Dripping in sweat. His heart was racing and he felt nauseous. His mat green hair sticking to his forehead and slightly damp. His hands clammy and his body shivering the slightest bit. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. He exhales a shaky breath and tries to calm down. He gets up out of the empty cold and lonely bed, making his way downstairs. He walks into the kitchen and grabs a glass cup and starts to make himself some tea. He would prefer water or coffee but coffee would just make his brain awake and his body still in the state it was in. It would barely energize him and he would just end up drinking coffee for the hell of it.

Water was fine, it just didn't have a taste and it wasn't hot. Izuku wanted something warm. Izuku settles on green tea and starts to brew a pot. The house was quiet, expect for the occasional house creeks that happened. The clock on the wall ticking softly and it was barely audible that it was comforting. Izuku sits down at the kitchen table and lays his head down. He was tired. Exhausted even, but that wasn't enough to make him go back to sleep. The water was getting warmer and Izuku started to calm down a bit, but for some reason he didn't feel safe.

He didn't feel okay. He wanted Katsuki. He needed him. Izuku felt the cold breeze finally hit him. Goosebumps started to trace his skin and he rubbed his arms up and down trying to create some heat. He decides to sluggishly get up and walk over to a basket next to the gray couches. A Christmas tree already standing tall in the living room. The lights were lit and the tree was very vibrant and possessed many colorful lights and ornaments. Izuku grabs a red checkered patterned blanket and wraps it around himself. He proceeds to walk back to the table but right before he sits down, the water was warm enough. Izuku rubs his eyes after rolling them and lazily walks to the water. He pours himself a glass of hot water and adds the green tea part.

He watched as the solution mixes and the color changing. He sits down and grabs a small butter knife to mix it with. He sits down and lays his chin on the table and watches himself slowly mix the drink. After he was done mixing it he tosses the knife into the sink, perfectly landing it inside without it falling out due to the distance. The clunk sound wasn't pleasant at this time of day. It was way too early in the morning for that. Izuku didn't want to get up though.

He takes a small sip from the drink as the hot liquid flushed down his throat, coating his tongue with a bittersweet sensation. He breathes in the smell and closes his eyes. His heart was still racing and his hands slightly clammy. He hated that. He hated dreaming of that day. Izuku sticks his hand under his shirt and lightly traces where the small scar is placed. It wasn't noticeable, not really. But if you looked close enough, you could see a slight coloration difference in his skin. It was a fine line. Izuku was grateful to have such a non-noticeable scar. But the scar was still there from that day.

Izuku started to think about his dream. He didn't want to, he really didn't. But his mind wasn't going to let him off that easy. He remembered all the blood. The screams. He remembered the hospital. When he was in the hospital everything seemed to be disoriented and he was hallucinating. That poison was no ordinary toxin. It was genetically modified to target people's fears. All the doctors looked horrifying and the test tubes and needles way bigger than they appeared. His muscles were more sensation and every time they poked him with a needle it felt like a hot rod slicing through his tender flesh.

Izuku squeezes his eyes not wanting to remember the agony that he faced that day. He was in and out of surgery and some people visited but he couldn't talk. He even needed a breathing tube stuck down his throat to help him breath at one point. That wasn't pleasant. To most people, that day shouldn't be traumatic, but if they went through what he did, they would be saying otherwise.

The door started to jiggle and Izuku shot his eyes towards the door. His heart skipped a beat and the door opened. Katsuki walked through the door with his hero suit on. It was ripped or anything, just slightly dirty and burnt. Izuku sighed in relief and lots of his stress went away. Katsuki looked at Izuku and smiled slightly to himself. He didn't expect Izuku to be up at this time of night. "Hey, it's pretty late nerd. Whatcha doin' up so late?" Katsuki asks. He didn't get an answer though. He just saw Izuku sit there with his head down. He started to walk up to him but Izuku stood up and walked over to Katsuki instead. Izuku carelessly drops his blanket to the floor and wraps his smaller frame around Katsuki's. Izuku hid his face in Katsuki's shoulder while Katsuki was more than surprised. He wasn't complaining though, he loved Izuku's hugs.

It was like this for two minutes and Izuku wasn't letting go. Katsuki strokes his hair and as he did that he felt Izuku shaking a bit. His alertness was already there because he just fought a villain, but it was even more heightened now. "Hey, Deku. What's wrong? Why are you shaking?" Katsuki asks.

"Please don't leave me..." Izuku says and Katsuki's face scowled a bit. What the hell was he talking about? Did he think he was cheating on him or something?

"Deku, I'm not going to leave you. I'm always going to be yours," Katsuki says trying to assure Izuku that he was always going to be his and no one else's.

"That's not what I'm talking about."

     "Then what do you mean?"

"I don't want you to die!" Izuku exclaims as he burrows his face into Katsuki's chest. Katsuki sighs and closes his eyes as he squeezes Izuku slightly.

"I won't. I'm too stubborn, you know that!" Katsuki says but Izuku only sniffles. "You dreamed about that one day three weeks ago, didn't you?" Katsuki asks quietly. Izuku nods his head, not being able to formulate any more words. Katsuki sighs and breaks the hug just a little bit. "Deku, that was awhile ago,"

"I'm aware, Katsuki. I've been aware every single day. I had to watch you get thrown into a building and I was in the hospital. They could have sent me to the restricted area because of that... toxin." Izuku states sadly.

     "I'm sorry..."

"I was just worried. You were gone all day today. And I just. . . You always make me worry, Kacchan."

"You always make me worry too. It sucks being home alone while one of us is out working," Katsuki whispers out. The noise in the house was quiet and the two could hear their heart beats move in sync. The two smiled and Katsuki once again breaks the hug. "Alright. I need a shower, I'm all sweaty from work and I have to clean out my scrapes. You are welcome to join me." Katsuki casually says but with an exhausted tone lacing his throat. Izuku smiles and nods as the two walk towards the bathroom in the peaceful warm house.

Now it wasn't as lonely. In the end, they always make each other worry.
