The drive was painful. So quiet at one minute, happy and musical the next, then all sappy and heartfelt, and crying tears of pain. Each tree they passed, each brick started to crumble from the walls they built up. Everything felt like it started breaking into small crumbling pieces of dirt. All the walls that were built up — rebuilding and breaking down simultaneously.
The car finally came to a stop. Izuku's heart beat was beating fast, almost like he couldn't breath at this point. He never realized how much he loved Katsuki until this point. Like they say, you never know what you have until you don't have it anymore. Izuku had kept lots of his tears in but the lump in his throat made everything harder. Holding back his shaky crackling voice, and his sad face was possibly one of the hardest things he has ever done.
Katsuki, for one, knows Izuku well enough to know that he was upset. He knew Izuku was trying to be strong for his sake, but Katsuki couldn't just watch Izuku slowly hold back from breaking when he is already cracking from the inside. Like shattering glass. Apply so much pressure and one day, it's going to crack like the snap of fingers.
There won't be a pause, there will just be sharp flying pieces scattering everywhere ge-tting ready to either be swept up or stepped on.
The two step out of the car and Izuku helps Katsuki with his luggage. Izuku and Katsuki start walking and for some reason the walk was fast. This was going by way too fast, he didn't want him to leave yet. Izuku suddenly starts to walk slower and of course, Katsuki follows his pace. It's not like he was in a rush to aboard his flight. Katsuki grabs Izuku's hand and intert-wined them. They swing back and forth slightly as the two look around them. Many people walking in many different directions. The calmness couldn't have been more nerve racking.
The closer the two became to Katsuki's assigned flight, the slower and sadder the two became. The weight was almost too much to bare. "When you get there. . .Text me? I really w-want to make sure you got there safely," Izuku slightly stutters out in a small whisper. Katsuki grips Izuku's hand tighter and replies with a simple "of course" to Izuku as the two were right in front of his flight.
Izuku's hand started to shake and his breathing started to become heavier. Katsuki's heart was hurting, he was going to be gone for awhile. The longer he thought about it, the more it would hurt his heart. The beating would beat faster and harder each passing second. The squeezing of his throat would be enough to suck the tears out of his eyes.
The two stop in front of the flight. Izuku could only go so far because he wasn't riding the plane. Katsuki wasn't ready to leave. Neither was Izuku. Izuku wanted to throw up and he clutched Katsuki's luggage. He didn't notice he was basically breaking the handle until Katsuki placed a soft hand on Izuku's firm grip. Izuku looked up at Katsuki with shock written all over his face. Katsuki smiled a soft, gentle smile. Not too big and almost too small for a happy smile.
Katsuki places a hand onto Izuku's cheek, using his thumb to wipe away a tear. Izuku didn't realize he was crying. He was trying so hard to keep the tears in that they boiled over and spilled. "This is it baby..." Katsuki says with a meager crack in his voice. Izuku sniffed and blinked a couple times to rid of the waterfall his eyes created. Katsuki's hand still rests on Izuku's face as the two try and break apart.
Leaving the house was hard. Difficult. Each day before the current one, they were anxious and anticipation settled in more than it needed to. They did everything they wanted to do with each other before the big leave. Katsuki already said his goodbyes to all their fellow friends, but those weren't going to be nearly as hard as the one in front of him.

This morning started off early. In all honesty, the day started before it began — midnight. The time read 11:46 as Katsuki woke up in a dark room laying on a soft red couch. A soft fuzzy gray blanket draped over him as he looked down at the smaller person snuggled on top of him. Katsuki smiled to himself as he rest his eyes upon the sleeping Izuku. He takes his hand and runs it through Izuku's hair and watches Izuku snuggle closer into his chest, clutching Katsuki's shirt and pulling the blanket up slightly. Katsuki rolls his head to the side and looks up at the clock that hung above one of the door entries into the kitchen.
The time read 11:50. He carefully sits up as he slowly turns Izuku to the side. Katsuki then picks Izuku up and carries him all the way upstairs into their bedroom. The dark halls made everything deadly silent and cold. But it was a type of feeling of letting-go. This would be his last night in the house for awhile. The last night he would be with Izuku until he came back. Katsuki took his foot and pulled the bla-nkets back as he already had his hands full.
He rests Izuku into the small pocket and tucks him. Luckily, Izuku didn't wake up. He was still fast asleep. Katsuki sighed and carded a hand through his hair. He was stressing, and half his bag wasn't even packet yet and they had to leave at six in the morning to go to the airport. Katsuki found himself walking onto the balcony of their bedroom and lighting a cigarette. He's never been a smoker but when he was stressed about something as big as being away from your significant other for six months. It wasn't too drastic but it was half a year. Away from him. Katsuki held the toxic paper between his index and middle finger and brought the roll up to his lips.
The night was chilly, and the cool breeze kissed Katsuki's smooth skin and painted it cold. He removes the cigarette from his mouth and breaths out the smoke as it unevenly blows in the windy cold air. After he burned through half of the stick, he rubs the bud on top of the balcony fence and watched as the stick lost its fire. The red around the burnt edge dying out as the ash and musk smear onto the balcony fence. Katsuki throws the rest of the cigarette off the balcony, this was definitely a habit he shouldn't engage in. "What a waste." Katsuki says out loud, as the wind listens to him.
Katsuki finishes packing and as he does, it was already past twelve. As he maneuvered his way through the dark, he stubbed his toe and let out a silent swear and watched as Izuku stirred in his sleep. He was silent as he held his foot still standing, trying to keep his balance. He kept quiet but Izuku kept being restless. Katsuki's brows furrowed and he watched as Izuku's breathing was slightly heavier.
He sighed to himself and walked over to the bed. He slipped himself into the bed and brought Izuku carefully over to his side and brushed Izuku's hair out of his face. And kissed his forehead. A tear fell down Katsuki's face as and gazed upon Izuku. He then fell asleep as Izuku snuggled close into Katsuki again.

All Katsuki could do was stare at Izuku as he now felt the burning in his eyes. The heavy weight finally lifted, and tears effortlessly fell down his face as Izuku's eyes widened. His eyes started to cry as well and Izuku rushed into Katsuki's arms. He buries his face into Katsuki's shoulder as the two hug.
This feeling was so blissful. Katsuki's large, warm toned arms wrapping around Izuku. Izuku enjoyed Katsuki's hugs. Even when he wasn't the "hugging" type person, he still gave amazing hugs. The hug was tight and long. The two really couldn't break this hug. Neither lover wanted too. Izuku's cries would be heard by hundreds if his face wasn't stuck into Katsuki's shoulder. Katsuki just hugged back as he silently cried. He didn't know how to say goodbye Izuku. Not to him. Even after all they've been through, even after the bickering, he still didn't know how to say goodbye to the one person he despised most in the beginning. He ended up loving him more than himself in the end. How ironic.
Izuku broke the hug and hung his head low. Katsuki lifted Izuku's head and deeply kissed Izuku. Izuku has never felt so much love pour from Katsuki's soft wet lips. The kiss was delicate and warm. Caring and sweet as his mouth didn't need to do any talking to convey his emotions. Small tears fall during this moment.
"Kacchan..." Izuku softly whispers as he looks deeply into Katsuki's eyes. Everything felt like it was breaking into small crumbling pieces of dirt. All the walls that were built up, rebuilding and breaking down simultan-eously. Katsuki places his hand on Izuku's cheek once more, wiping away a single tear.
"Ya' know I have to do this. I really don't want to leave you, and you have responsi-bilities here that you can't abandon," Katsuki explains faintly. Izuku squeezes his eyes shut. Everything and everywhere seemed to disappear and all that was left was Katsuki. Katsuki was his world. He meant everything to him. Everything.
Izuku's breathing became harder as his tears started to dry his face. He almost had no tears left to cry, but they kept coming.
"I-I you so much, Katsuki. Please come back to me soon..." Izuku asks as more of a wish than a request.
"Always..." his significant other says as they gave each other one more hug. A tender, long, comforting hug to get both of them through the six months they'd be apart. Katsuki kisses Izuku one final time before hopping onto the plane. Izuku stares at him and watches as he takes his seat.
Soon the plane starts to take off and Katsuki looked out his window to see Izuku watching the plane solemnly. Katsuki places a hand by the window and waves to Izuku. Izuku waves back and a smile appears on both of their faces as Katsuki cried for the first time in awhile. Izuku was already spilling crystals.
"I love you..." Izuku says and Katsuki makes a heart in the window. Who knows how he saw Izuku's mouth move but it's almost like he heard those words spoken.
"I love you too." Katsuki whispers as the plane flies through the sky, leaving the two apart for awhile.
