"Tum teek ho abhi? (Are you okay now?)"

Sahil asked as I chugged down a whole bottle of water. I was freaking out over the whole situation with Ananya so we had stepped out of the station for some fresh air, and was sitting on the roof.

"Not really, agar Ananya kisi ko bhi hurt karthi hai its on me (Not really if Ananya hurts anyone it's on me)"

"Kuch saal pehele main ek drug trafficking ring ko follow kar rahi thi, mera first high profile case tha woh, leking bohot struggle karne ki baat bhi koi bhi lead nehi mil raha tha, finally ek din unke ex drug supplier ka info mil gaya but uski against koi bhi proof nehi tha hamare paas main desperate ho rahi thi issilye maine uski beti ko target banaya, Riya urf Heena Qureshi (a few years ago I was chasing a drug trafficking ring, it was my first high profile case but even after struggling a lot I wasn't able to find any leads until one day I found information about one of their ex drug supplier but we didn't have any proof against him, I was desperate so I made his daughter my target Riya/Heena Qureshi)"

"As I said Ananya meri kaam ke liye perfect thi usne naa sirf Heena ki dad aur uski alibies ka information nikala usne yeh bhi patha kiya ki Iqbal Qureshi uski then boyfriend later husband ussi drug trafficking ring ki leader ke liye kaam kathe the aur yeh bhi point out kiya ki jiss tharah Iqbal Heena ki life ki haar aspect ko control kar raha tha it was obvious that woh usko use kar raha tha kisi hidden motive ke liye, lekin Heena se sach ugalwane ke liye Ananya ko bhi uske samne vulnerable hona pada tha aur usne apne past ke bare main sensitive information share kiya tha jo Ayan ko sunakar Heena ne Ananya ka life hi barbaad kar diya tha mammuli si ladki ko murderer banadiya usne (As I said Ananya was perfect for my job she not only collected information about Heena's dad and his alibies she also found out that Iqbal Qureshi her then boyfriend and later husband also worked for the leader of the same drug trafficking ring and she also pointed out that the way Iqbal was controlling every aspect of her life it was obvious he was using her for some hidden motive, but to get Heena to open up Ananya had to be vulnerable in front of her so she shared sensitive information about her past which Heena later shared with Ayan and basically ruined Ananya's life turned that ordinary girl into a murderer)"

"Iqbal ka kya hua fir? (What happened to Iqbal after that?)"

"Ananya ka case close karne ke baat humne Iqbal ko arrest kiya aur usne confess kar diya ki usne Heena se pyaar ka naatak kiya tha aur shaadi bhi sirf issliye kiya thaaki woh uske dad ko blackmail kar sake taaki woh apne purane kaam pe waapas aa jaye aur uske leader ke tharaf loyal rahe, usne yeh bhi confess kiya usne hi jab usse patha chala ki Ananya aur Heena kuch zyaada hi paas aa rahe the usne hi Heena ko manipulate kiya tha Ananya ko hurt karne ke liye thaaki woh Heena se ristha tod de aur daar ke maare unke baarein main information leak na kare Ayan toh sief unke plan ka ek chotta tha hissa tha, lekin yeh usne bhi nehi socha tha ki Ananya inthi toot jaayegi ki woh unn saare logon ki jaan le legi jisne usse hurt kiya tha sad part yeh hai ki Ananya apne past ko bulakar ek nayi shuruwat karni caahthi thi lekin meri mission ki wajah usko fir se unn sab se gusarna pada, issliye toh main force quit karna caahthi thi kyuki maine naa sirf Ananya ko ek murderer banaya maine usse punish bhi nehi kiya jaane diya main iss position ki layak nehi hoo (After closing Ananya's case we arrested Iqbal he confessed to only pretending to be in love with Heena and that he only married her to blackmail her dad into getting back into his old job so that he will remain loyal to their leader, he even said that when he found out that Heena and Ananya were getting a little too close he manipulated Heena into hurting Ananya so that she would cut all ties with Heena and due to fear won't leak information about her and Ayan was just a small part of their plan but even he didn't think that Ananya would be so broken that she would kill everyone who ever hurt her the sad part is Ananya wanted to forget her past and start fresh but because of my mission she had to go through it all over again, that's why I wanted to quit the force because I not only turned Ananya into a murderer but I didn't even punish her I let her go I don't deserve this position)"

"Tumse zyaada koi bhi yeh position deserve nehi karthi Shabhana kyuki tum sirf duty nehi karna caahthi balki justice dilana caahthi ho aur aise log bohot kam hothe hai duniya main (No one deserves this position more than you Shabhana because you not only wanted to do your duty but you wanted to provide justice and there are only a few people in this world who want to do that)"

"Thank you"

I said and we smiled at each other.

_A few days later_

"Mujeh patha hai tum abhi bhi case ki tension main ho, I promise you iske baat hum dono milkar yeh sab sort out karenge teek hai (I know you are still stressed out about the case but I promise you after this we will together figure it all out)" Sahil said.

"Sahil, case ke baarin main sochna band karo tumhari shaadi hai aaj uspe focus karo (Sahil, stop thinking about the case it's your wedding today focus on that)"

I said as we stood in front of the register office.

"You guys ready?"

Karan, my husband asked. Sahil looked at his to be bride and smiled as he nodded. Soon they signed the papers with me and Karan as the witnesses. And as they were putting garlands around each other I got a call.

"Hello" I said a bit irritated.

"Tum kabhi nehi sutharogi na Shabhana? (You will never learn will you Shabhana?)" Someone said.

"Who the hell is this?"

"Julie ki threats ko tumne seriously nehi liya, lekin main Julie nehi hoo main bewajah threats nehi dethi toh agar tum firse iss case ki peeche gayi toh pachthaoge (You didn't take Julie's threats seriously but I am not Julie I don't give threats for no reason so if you go behind this case again you will regret it)"

She said and cut the call. I struggled to breathe as I looked over at Karan.
