This question is for Peridot

Lillybelle19 asks: I know this may not happen (bc you and Ame' are so cute) but if you two ever broke up, would you go back to Lapis? It may not happen, but if it did, would you?

Peridot:(stares at screen for a few minutes and keeps re-reading question in silence)
I-I've been thinking a lot about her recently
but it's not the reason you're thinking of right now.

When we first starting dating I knew that what we had was real but we started to disconnect soon afterward. In a way, I felt sorry for her but I kept remembering how she forgot me over how popular she became in school.

She just, pushed me away and treated me like her doll. That's when I met Amethyst. Ame' and I became friends and that's when Lapis started paying attention. She was jealous.
Every time Amethyst was around, Lapis would be all over me and try to claim that I was hers.

It really hit Amethyst hard and I knew it did.
I was stuck between my past love and the one I love now. I didn't want to let go of Lapis because I believed there was still some of her true-self somewhere. But, you know how that turned out..

If me and Amethyst did ever break up...
I don't know how I would function
Just the thought of Amethyst not being there when I need her, sickens my stomach...

(looks around to make sure that Amethyst is not around to hear any of this)

Those first few days of breaking up with Lapis felt unbearable! But staying with her when we had nothing left, didn't feel right either. I didn't want to keep lying to her or myself so I guess what happened needed to happen.

(takes off glass and wipes eyes)

I wouldn't want to be with Lapis, even if Amethyst and me did break up. I'd probably want to focus more on myself and try to get back up on my feet. For now though, I'm planning to stay with Amethyst. I don't know how long, but I want these moments with her to stay alive...

(smiles wearily)

(Lies) Haha, wow this pollen really gets my allergies going! Aw my eyes are burning!

(Wipes tears off cheeks)
