Connie: AAAAAAAAA! LET GO OF ME! PEARL! HEEELLPPP!

Pearl woke up and rushed upstairs to what the commotion was. When she tried to open the door, it was locked. The only thing she could hear was Connie screaming and she could hear Amethyst trying to attack the danger. Pearl backed up and ran toward the door with all her strength but it was no use.

Pearl: AMETHYST! UNLOCK THE DOOR!

Footsteps are heard toward the door but then she heard a large crash from inside. Pearl cursed and took out her gun from one of the floor boards. She then loaded it and shot it at the doorknob, hoping for it to open the door.Right as she did though, she heard the window from inside shatter with Connie yelling for Pearl. As she opened the door, she only found a broken window and glass shatters everywhere. Pearl ran to the window and looked outside. She saw a black van driving away with Connie inside. Pearl yelled out Connie's name and fell to her knees. She started to sob and curse loudly. Pearl then heard a loud groan from Amethyst in the corner of the room. She saw Ame' had a bruised eye and she had some scratches on her arms from the attacker. Pearl rushed to her side and looked at Amethyst's condition.

Pearl: What the hell happened?!
Amethyst: (coughs) Someone came in the house somehow and t-tried to take me and Connie! I heard them sneak in before they tried to take us! When I attacked that's when Connie yelled for you, b-but then the person grabbed Connie and was heading toward the window. I tried to stop them but they hit my face. When I heard you were in the front of the door I was about to open it until they punched me in the face a-and... (starts to cry)
Pearl: This is all my f-fault!
Amethyst: W-we have to get Garnet!
Pearl: No! I have to take care of this myself!
Amethyst: Pearl! This is serious!
Pearl: SO AM I! (grabs her gun on the floor and runs out the door to the living room)
Amethyst: What are you doing?!
Pearl: I'm going to get Connie back! (grabs a sharp knife and a handgun)
Amethyst: Are you insane?! Pearl you're going to get yourself killed!
Pearl: (puts her weapons in her pockets and ignores Amethyst)
Amethyst: Listen to me! (grabs Pearl's arm)
Pearl: Stop! Every minute we wait here is another bad thing that's going to happen to Connie! I have to save her!

Amethyst lets go of Pearl and looks to the ground with her crying eyes. Tears spill from her eyelids and roll down her cheek.

Amethyst: I can't lose you too!

Pearl: (stops and slowly turns around) Amethyst...

Amethyst: (looks up) Don't leave...don't leave me! I can't loose you like my parents! I don't want to be alone!

Pearl walks back to her. She bends down to her knees and raises Amethyst's face. She caresses her cheek and hugs her tightly.

Pearl: I'm not going to abandon you! Not now, not ever...

Amethyst's grip on her tenses and Pearl wipes her tears with her thumb

Pearl: ...Let's get Garnet!

OLD WAREHOUSE...

Connie: Let go! Agh! (thrown to the ground with her hands tied)

The kidnapper pushes away her hair that covered her eyes. She then grabbed Connie by her shirt and pulled her close.

Jasper: If you want to see the light of day again, you better shut your mouth!

Connie: (trembles) I know Pearl is going to save me! You're not going to get away with this!

Jasper: Sure I will! I'm planning to kill her tonight!

Connie: NO! I WON'T LET YOU! (tries to escape chains)

Jasper: There's no use in trying to break free! (grabs Connie and starts to walk) By the way, I have a friend to keep you company!

Connie is shocked to see what is in the dark corner of the room. It was Steven, her best friend. He was hurt and had a scar on his cheek. The boy was unconscious and didn't move which made Connie gasp.

Connie: Steven?! (eyes are trembling)

AT POLICE STATION

Garnet: (on phone) This is officer Garnet! What is the problem?

Greg: Garnet! It's me and Rose! Steven, he's gone!

Garnet: What?! What happened?

Rose: He's been kidnapped! We were downstairs when we heard a large crash from Steven's room! S-someone took h-him! (cries)

Garnet: Don't worry! Me and Ronaldo will be there shortly! (slams the phone down)

Pearl and Amethyst burst through the glass doors. Ronaldo jumps in front of the two and points his gun on Pearl. Garnet runs to the commotion and lowers Ronaldo's gun.

Garnet: (to Ronaldo) They're friends!

Ronaldo: (nods and puts his gun pack in his handle) What do you want?

Pearl: Garnet we need your help! Connie has been kidnapped! I know where she is but I need your help!

Garnet: I just got a call from Greg and Rose that Steven is missing! He was kidnapped just a few minutes ago!

Pearl: There's a chance that it's the same kidnapper who took Connie! She must be keeping them hostage at the old warehouse!

Ronaldo: How do we know you're not just leading us into a trap?! (narrows eyes)

Pearl looked to Garnet who was looking back at her. They had no choice. It was the only option that seemed to be the quickest to save the kids.

Garnet: Because I trust her...

Pearl stood there with a small shy smile that only Garnet could see. She had her trust back.

Amethyst: What are we waiting for then?! Let's go!

Steven: W-wha? Connie? Is that y-you?

Connie: STEVEN! (cries on Steven's shoulder)

Steven: Where are we?

Connie: I don't know! I think some old warehouse, but that's not the point! The person who kidnapped us is going to kill Pearl!

Steven: No! They c-can't! Pearl is tough! She can take-

LOUD GUNSHOT

The two children sat in the dark corner of the room, wide-eyed. Connie started to panic and Steven tried to comfort her.

Connie: (quietly) No, please! No! (sobs)
P-Pearl! (sniffles)

Steven scoots closer to Connie. His fingers find its way to Connie's and they hold each other tight. Steven still had hope they were going to get out of here. Pearl was going to save them, she wouldn't give up on them.

Garnet dodged the bullet right in time and hid under a bag of hay. Jasper reloaded her gun and started to talk trash.

Jasper: Give up now! You can't beat me!

Garnet: Why are you doing this?!

Jasper: Pearl owes me! She owes me everything!

Garnet: What does she owe you?! (holds up gun to Japser)

Jasper: Her life! (Shoots bullet)

Garnet: NOW! AGH!

Looking up, Jasper was met with a wagon that was connected from the roof. As the force hit her, she was thrown across the room and hit the floor with a loud thud. Pearl stood on the swinging wagon holding her gun on Japser.

Pearl: (yells) That'll teach you to not mess with us!

Garnet and Ronaldo rush over to Japser and take away her gun. Ronaldo handcuffs Japser and walks her over to the police car with his gun to her back. Pearl jumps down from the kart and looks to Garnet. The tall police nods her head and they start to look for the children. Garnet looks behind every nook and cranny but didn't see Connie or Steven anywhere.

Garnet: Where are they?!

Pearl: Garnet! Over here!

Pearl found a trapdoor leading to a dark stairway. Garnet slowly stepped in with a gun in her hands followed by Pearl who did the same. The two could barley see in the pitch black dark, but then they heard muffled cries in a corner. Pearl squinted her eyes and called out

Pearl: Connie? Steven? Is that you?

Garnet grabs her flashlight out and shines it on the two children. Pearl loses herself and rushes over to them, trying to battle tears. She unlocks the chains on the kids with her pocket knife and throws the rope to the other side of the room

Connie: Pearl! Y-you're alright!

Steven: We were so scared!

Pearl: Garnet and I have were so worried sick!
(hugs them both) I'm glad you're okay! (notices scratches on Steven and Connie) What did Japser do to you?! Steven! Your cheek!

Steven: (touches cheek) OW!

Garnet: We should take Steven to the hospital!
These wounds need to be cared for right away!

Pearl nods and grabs Steven in her arms and walks out of the barn with Connie. Outside Garnet could hear the sounds of Rose and Greg crying happily. They were worried to hear that he had to go to the hospital but they were still glad that they're son was still alive. Garnet smiled to herself but then was brought back when she felt a pain in her right shoulder. She looked down to find blood that stained her police suit. Garnet tried to stop the bleeding by holding pressure on it but she knew she lost a lot of blood. The police stumbled upstairs and made it outside of the warehouse. Rose was the first to notice Garnet's wound.

Rose: Garnet! Oh my god!
(cups her own face with her hands)

Garnet fell to her knees and hit the dirt floor, making dust surround her. Rose and everyone ran over to her with desperation. Pearl who hid under her hoodie, tried to not let Rose see her but when she saw Garnet bleeding, she blew her cover.

Pearl: GARNET! (looks at the blood in her hands) SOMEONE CALL THE HOSPITAL! (holds Garnet's face in her hands) Garnet! Stay awake! Don't die on me!

Garnet: (pants) Ah! P-Pearl! Everything is going to be fine! (smiles with tears eyes) It's just one bullet, nothing too bad! (flinches in pain)

Pearl: I-it can't end like this! I wanted to...to marry you!

Garnet stares at Pearl with wide eyes

Pearl: I wanted us to have a c-child! (HIC) I wanted us to grow o-old together! (HiC) But now y-

Garnet crashes her lips on Pearl. They stay like that for a few seconds until Garnet pulls away shushing Pearl, trying to comfort her

Garnet: Me too ♥️

Pearl cries harder

Ambulance arrives
