Pearl slept on the worn-out sofa still wearing her dress and her bow clip that hanged on the tips of her hair. She passed out right when she got home due to lack of sleep she's had lately. Whenever Pearl slept, her nightmares showed scary images.

Pearl's DREAM

A bright light is all that Pearl could see
She felt like she was becoming blind because her eyes were burning and it hurt
Pearl tried to scream but her voice wasn't coming out...
Suddenly the light turns off and Pearl suddenly falls through the floor
She then hits a glass floor hard that made a loud crash sound, and Pearl's vision slowly becomes clear. As she looked closely she saw she had shards of glass that was piercing all over her body. Pearl jumped away but hit another wall which made the pieces cut deeper through her. No blood came out of her but she still felt the pain and agony. Pearl starts hyperventilate and her eyes beat rapidly. The mirrors of glass around her started to show different pictures of people and events. The memories started to move in motion and Pearl could hear familiar voices.

First Mirror:
Pearl layed on the floor trying to protect herself with her hands and legs

Bullies: Look at her! She's crying! Damn aren't you such a cry baby! And over some bruises and cuts! (hits Pearl's shoulders with foot) You don't know anything about suffering! Your just weak!

Pearl: S-stop! (shudders) Pl-please! Leave me alone!

The bully's laughter echoes through the halls and the scene starts to fade into the next event...

Second Mirror

Footsteps ring through the halls of the high school. Pearl walks with her head down looking to the ground. The bullies turn around the corner and bump into Pearl, causing her to drop all of her papers and notebooks. One of the bullies grab Pearl's injured arm and yell at her bruised face. Tears rolled down Pearl's face as she was thrown back to the ground with a thud. She wipes her face with her hand and places her head back to the floor. Pearl layed there even when the school bell for the next class rang. She didn't care anymore...

Stranger: Hey! Are you alright? (bends down and holds Pearl's head)
Pearl: Wh-who are you?
Stranger: My name's  Rose Mintleaf...(echoes)

Fades to the THIRD mirror

The scene changes to the cafeteria with people filling up all the tables. Rose and Pearl sat in the corner eating their lunch...

Rose: Woah!
Pearl: What?
Rose: Look over there (quietly)

Pearl turns her eye to where Rose pointed and saw a new student. She had  a white tank top , with plain black leggings and a red hoodie wrapped around her muscle sides. She had an Afro and a pair of shades that hid her eyes. Pearl stared at her and saw the student turn toward her direction. She panicked and looked toward the floor and continued to eat her jello. When she looked up again she didn't see the new student.

Pearl: What's the new student's name?
Rose: (taps chin) If I remember correctly I think her name is Garnet!

FOURTH Mirror

Pearl's feet peddled on her bike as she raced through the rain. Streams of tears and rage lined her cheeks. Echoes of her mom's voice is heard " Why can't you do anything right! You do not deserve to be my daughter!"   Pearl shut her eyes with frustration and clenches her teeth.
Pearl: Shut-up!

A car screeches to a hault as people come out of the car. One that was red, the other was blue , and another who had an afro. They ran to the unconscious body that layed on the side of the road and try to talk to her.

Ruby: Is she alright! I'm calling an ambulance!

Sapphire: Garnet how do you know this girl?

Garnet: (hesitates) She's my girlfriend! (echoes)

FIFTH MIRROR

Pearl slowly got out of Garnet's bed and places her note on the lamp table. As she does, she looks back to Garnet and sighs from sadness. Pearl creeps up to Garbet and gives her a final kiss on the head before she jumps out of the window.

SIXTH MIRROR:

Pearl and Rose ran through the wheat and plants of the field in the light of the moon. They ran hand-in-hand and soon came to train tracks. Pearl turned to Rose and smiled.

Rose: (sadly) Do you have to go?
Pearl: Yes! I must! This is the only way I'll ever learn how to be strong Rose! (places hands on her heart) I promise I'll come back!

Rose gazed at Pearl's crystal blue eyes and started to sob. The two wrapped each other into an embrace one last time. As they painfully pull away, Pearl looks to Rose with large tears rolling down her eyelids.

Pearl: I only want you to know about me leaving because I knew you'd be the only one to let me go. I'm sorry to cause you so much pain but I have to do this for myself! I'm going to become a better person! I swear it! (echoes)

Pearl shoots up and puts her hand over her over-beating heart. She takes deep breaths and looks around the living room. Pearl calms down and throws her head back onto the pillow on the couch. She mutters and curses to herself quietly and drifts back to sleep.
