Back to present...

Peridot enters into the waiting room. Amethyst put her phone back in her jean's pocket and stood up. She walks over to her girlfriend with a reassuring smile. Peridot smiled back to her as she held Ame's hand.

Amethyst: Is it bad?

Peridot: It's a bit complicated...
(looks to the floor)

Amethyst: ...Let's go eat somewhere!
When we get there, you can tell me everything
(squeezes Peri's hand)
You'll feel better when you have something in you're stomach!
(leads them to the exit)

Peridot: (nods)

Amethyst and Peridot walk to nearest bus stop. They sit on the bench together in silence. Peridot fidgeted her fingers as Amethyst continued staring at her. Peri looked to Ame' and blushed. Her warm cheeks were visible for Amethyst to see which made both of them chuckle.

Peridot: (clears throat)
Why do you keep staring at me?

Amethyst: (grins)
I really can't believe your mine...

Peridot: (eyes are wide)
Hm?!
Where did that come from?

Amethyst: I never thought I'd have someone want to be with me...
When you dared me to kiss you, (blushes)
my heart felt like it was glowing!
(touches chest)
You make me feel like I'm a different person and I like it!

Peridot: (looks away from Ame's gaze)
You really know how to make me crazy for you
(smiles slowly)

Amethyst: (wraps arm around Peridot's side)
Come here! (pulls Peri close)
Its freezing out here...
(cuddles Peridot)
Hmmm ♥️

Peridot:  You're j-just like a cat, I swear!

(Timeskip)

Amethyst: Well?
(takes a sip of her chocolate mocha)

They say in the corner of Starbucks. Ame' and Peri sat next to each other on the leather couch. Peridot stared at her half- eaten croissant as she tried to think of the words to explain what happened and how she felt about it.

Peridot: (crosses her arms)
Sh-she's lost most of her memories...
Lapis doesn't remember anyone

Amethyst: Oh my gosh
(puts hand on forehead)

Peridot: The nurse told me when she was-(flinches)
hurting herself, she was hitting her head against the brick wall in the girl's bathroom...

Amethyst: (bites bottom lip)
That's horrible

Peridot: Yes...

Amethyst: (rubs neck)
She must of really hated me

Peridot: It wasn't just you, it was me too...

Amethyst: But if it wasn't for me-

Peridot: (hugs Amethyst)
Stop blaming yourself! I can't stand it when you're hard on yourself!
(looks into her eyes)
Amethyst please promise me!

Amethyst: (stares into Peri's eyes)

Peridot: Promise? (takes out pinky finger)

Amethyst:
(pauses, then wraps pinky finger over Peri's)
I vow it... ❤️

Peridot: (smiles sadly)
Can we just stay like this a little bit longer?
(holds Amethyst's hand)

Amethyst: (nods and takes a sip of her drink)

Ame' then puts her cup on the coffee table near them and looks back to Peri. Peridot blushes slightly when Amethyst kisses her cheek lightly. Their breathing slowed when they both closed their eyes. The bell from the front door jingled as new customers entered the shop. All the sounds that echoed in the room felt like a faze when Peri and Ame' stared to slowly fall asleep...

Pearl and Garnet: Amethyst?!

Peridot and Amethyst: (eyes shoot open)
GAAH!

Pearl: (walks closer to them)
What are you guys doing here?
Ame' I told you to stay home!

Amethyst: Hey! (gets up from couch)
You never said that when you left!

Pearl: (narrows eyes)
Either way, you should of known what I meant!

Amethyst: (grumbles)
