(hugs tightly)

(scratches neck ashamed)

Nurse: Is there a Ms. Peridot Diamond?
(echoes through waiting room)

Peridot: (stands up)
Y-yes?

Nurse: She's ready to see you

Peridot: Alright (looks down)

Amethyst: (kisses Peridot's cheek)

(waves and heads into hall of hospital)

The nurse walked ahead while searching through her keyboard for what room number Lapis was in. Peridot still felt a lingering feeling her stomach from 2 days ago. The Dorito was glad that Ame' was there to help her and try to ease all this pain. Peri still couldn't ignore the fact that Lapis probably did this because of her. This'll definitely cause rumors and drama at school now. Great, another thing to add her stress and anxiety of life. The nurse stopped aruptly in front of room #204. Peri could feel that emotion in her stomach becoming bigger by the few seconds standing there. What was she waiting for? Just turning a knob and taking a few steps into the room was all she had to do; why wasn't she doing it?

Nurse: Ms. Peri?

Peridot: Hm?

Nurse: I'll wait here outside the door

Peridot: (nods anxiously)

Peri shut her eyes as she tried to build bravery in herself. Her hand twisted the doorknob carefully as she gulped in a breath of air.
Each step she took felt like she was going somewhere to be punished for all the bad things she did in the past. Peridot's hands were clenched, with sweat covering her palms.

Peridot: (quietly)
La-Lapis?

Lazuli sat straight up on her bed with bandages wrapped around her head. She held a book called "Family Albums."  Around her were balloons and all kinds of stuffed animals. Lapis had various wires in her hand that were connected to a device that showed her heartbeat. The echo of the beeps on the monitor quickned when Lapis locked eyes with Peridot. Peridot could feel her own heart beating fast. She prepared for the yelling and heartbreaking words to break her like bullets.
