Connie stood behind Pearl slightly shaking. Pearl grits her teeth while she gives the evil-eye to Garnet, trying to warn her to stay away before things got ugly. Garnet got the message and left a few feet between them. The cop held out her hand to Pearl but her attempt only made the two backtrack even more.

Garnet: Pearl? Don't you remember me?
Pearl: Of course I do! The last time we met was yesterday night! (narrows eyes)
Garnet: No, I mean the girlfriend who loved you Pearl! Doesn't it make you think back to what we had?
Pearl: (blushes) No! Not at all! Don't you think of even brining me to the station! I won't let you!
Garnet: Pearl, I'm not going to hurt you or your friend... Wait a second, Connie! Connie what are you doing here! You should be at school! What would your parents think about this!
Connie: (grapples Pearl's jacket tightly)
Pearl: Leave her out of this Garnet!
Garnet: You have no right Pearl! You kidnapped this child without her parents knowing! This is intolerable! (walks toward Pearl and Connie)

At that moment, Pearl takes her cup of coffee and throws it at Garnet's face. The cop collapses to the ground cursing loudly, and Connie and Pearl run out the back door of the shop. In that instant, Ronaldo runs into the shop and to his chief. He puts his hand on her back and gives her paper napkins but Garnet uses the sleeve of her uniform to wipe off the hot coffee. Though the cop's face was burning like hell she quietly laughed to herself.

Garnet: I think she still likes me
Ronaldo: You're insane boss

Footsteps pounded the ground with each step and each breath felt like breathing in winter air that pierced her throat. Pearl had Connie in her arms and she didn't look back until they were in the deep parts of the forest. She then stopped and put Connie down under a pine tree and she fell to her knees breathing heavily. Connie's heart was beating rapidly in her chest from all the commotion that just happened. Pearl gasped for air and looked to Connie in desperation.

Pearl: Connie (cough) Are you alright?
Connie: (gasps and coughs) Yeah, it's just that I didn't expect for Officer Garnet to see me. She's probably going to tell my parents! Oh no! I'm doomed!
Pearl: Don't torment yourself kid! Everything will go as plan as long your near me! I'll make sure they won't take you away (holds Connie)
Connie: I know... We should really get to your house though! Staying out in the woods is not a good place to be when police officers are trying to catch us!
Pearl: (stands up) You're right, we should hurry!

Amethyst, Lapis and Peridot were waking home from the bus ride from school. To Amethyst it felt like she was in misery from all the tests and lectures she had to sit through, and especially that she has a conference tomorrow. It didn't help that Peridot asked Lapis to be her girlfriend today, because it made her feel more miserable than she already was. Amethyst was slightly jealous and not because that she still had a crush on Peridot but she was the only girl in school who didn't have a special someone. "Life is just great for me!" Amethyst though to herself. Peridot and Lapis held hands and they had their heads resting on each other. Amethyst couldn't take it anymore so she made up an excuse to run home quickly when actually she was trying to avoid crying in public. The teenager bolts to the abandoned house or that's what people thought. As the door creaked open she looked outside making sure no one saw her. As she silently closed the door, she turned around and saw Connie sleeping on top of Pearl on the worn-out couch. The two looked exhausted but Amethyst didn't really care so she scared them with the loud noise of her backpack falling to the ground. Connie and Pearl jumped up to find a laughing Amethyst over them.

Amethyst: Hahaha! You should of seen your guys's stupid faces! You looked hilarious!
Pearl: Shut-up Amethyst! Let me sleep! (pushes Connie off her) You too Connie! I have to visit a "special someone" tonight so I need all the rest I can get!
Connie: What? Who are you planning to visit?
Amethyst: I know who it is (smirks evilly)
(sings) Pearl + Garnet sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G! First comes love! Then comes marriage! Then there's- (Pearl's hand on Amethyst mouth)
Pearl: Don't start! I swear I'll pull your tongue out if you don't stop!
Amethyst: Okay I get it! (Pushes Pearl's hand off and realizes) Wait! Why is Connie here? She's never at our house usually!
Connie: I'm going to be staying here a while actually! Pearl said so!
Amethyst: Awesome! You can share the bottom bunk of my bunk-bed!
Connie: YES! (runs upstairs)
Amethyst: I'll be there up a sec kiddo! (turns to Pearl and quietly talks) Pearl what's the real reason for Connie here?
Pearl: (sits up and whispers) Let's just say if I didn't she'd be in danger. Don't tell her okay! I don't want her to worry! She doesn't need another pile of stress to be thrown on her, I just want her to live her life freely... (Lays down and turns her back toward Amethyst) I don't want to go any further with this, go upstairs to show Connie around
Amethyst: Yes Mrs. Grumpy! (pats Pearl's shoulder)

As Amethyst walks upstairs to her room, Pearl lays on the couch alone. Pearl wipes a tear that threatened to fall from her cheek

Pearl: (silently) Darnit kid! See what you're doing to me! You're making me feel like a mother! You're making become what I never had...
