Peridot cried into her pillow while Amethyst patted her back awkwardly. What else could she do? Her ex-girlfriend was hurt and Perri was to blame! It wasn't entirely Peridot's fault though! Lapis started pushing her away as she became friends with the popular girls, which made Peridot her little project! It was love at first but then it was completely shattered when Lapis chose popularity over love...

Peridot: This (HIC)
Is all my fault!
(sobs)
Lapis is going to die, and I'm (HIC)
going to be blamed because (HIC)

(covers face)

Amethyst: Perri, you should rest!
It been two days since it happened!
She's probably getting fixed and-

Peridot: (screams) How do you know?!

Amethyst: I don't know, okay!
I'm just trying to comfort you but all you've done is ignore my help!

Peridot: (wipes eyes)

This has been such a huge mess and I feel like I can't do anything (HIC) about it!

Amethyst: I know it's been rough for you...
But sometimes I feel like you still love her even though you're with me
(hair hides eyes)

Peridot: That's not true at all! (sniffs)

Amethyst: I've been trying to ignore it but...
I keep thinking that if you and I never met, I wouldn't have caused all this pain on you!

Peridot: Shut-up! (takes Ame's hand)
Don't ever say that again Amethyst!
I'm glad I met you and I would never trade all of our moments just for her!
(brushes Ame's hair out of eyes)

Amethyst: (blushes)
Enough with the mushy stuff alright!
(smiles sheepishly and looks away)

Amethyst looked into Peridot's eyes showing how important the situation was

Amethyst:
What are you going to do about Lapis?

Peridot: God, I don't even know!
(brushes hair back with hand)

Amethyst: ...We should visit her

Peridot: WHAT?! N-no!
I can't look her in the eyes anymore!
What makes you think I'll be able to talk to her?! (crosses arms)

Amethyst: It's the least you could do!
Besides I'll go with you so it's not that bad!

Peridot: (sarcastically)
I'm not too sure if she wants to see you...

Amethyst: Let me at least wait for you in the waiting room!
(bats eyelashes innocently)
I promise I won't get in any trouble!

Peridot: (sighs)

(grumbles)
When do we go?

Amethyst: Tomorrow morning?

Peridot: (nods)

Amethyst: (pushes Perri on couch)
Go to sleep now!
(throws blanket on Dorito)
This'll all be fixed soon!

Peridot: (lays down)
I really hope you're right
(yawn)
Aren't you gonna sleep?

Amethyst:
Naw, I'm gonna hang with Pearl for a bit...
(kisses Perri's forehead)

(closes eyes)

Amethyst tip toes out of the living room and lets out a breath of relief as soon as she reaches a wall. She's glad that thing on her mind was finally off of her chest. Well, a little bit anyway...

Ame' was still going to be cautious no matter what. She wanted to make sure her Dorito was safe.

Creak Creak

The young teenager slowly made her way up the wooden stairs. Her gaze looked up to the wide open door with Pearl and Garnet sitting on the mattresses. They didn't notice Amethyst, due to their backs turned toward the doorway. Ame' backs up against the wall slowly and eavesdrops on the adult's conversation. What were they talking about?

Garnet: 'nother nightmare?

Pearl: (sighs loudly)
They just won't go away!
(throws face in hands)

Garnet: Maybe if you told me-

Pearl: I already told you, no!

Garnet: (angry)
What do you want me to do then?!

Pearl: Just...
(slammed fist into pillow in frustration)
Urgh!

Garnet:
Why can't you just tell me?!

Pearl: (silence)

Garnet: (sighs)

You promised no secrets between us anymore...
(holds both of Pearl's hands)
Don't you remember?

Pearl: Yes, I know...

Garnet: ...I'm sorry for yelling

Pearl: Just forget about it
(looks outside window)
You should probably go now... (smiles)
Ruby and Sapphire must be eager to see you

Garnet: True
(pauses)
...Do you wanna see them again?

(stutters)
I don't think they re-really like me
(rubs arms nervously)

Garnet: Nonsense!

(grins and pats Pearl's back)

Pearl: What about the kids?!
They can't be left alone!

Amethyst: (enters room)
We'll be fine P!

Pearl and Garnet turn their heads toward Ame' in suprise

Pearl: (narrows eyes)

Amethyst: Not much!
(grins nervously)
You and Garnet should go!
Me and Perri will just chill on the couch!

Pearl: Bu-

Garnet:
(picks up Pearl and carries her bridal style)
Let's go!
They gave us permission!

Pearl: GARNET! YOU'RE GONNA DROP ME!
Hahahahahahahaha!

The two adults run down the stairs and out outside to the car laughing and giggling. Amethyst followed them until she closed the main door while looking through the door hole. She smiled evilly as she looked back to her girlfriend who was sleeping peacefully on the messy sofa. They were all alone!
