Peridot sat on a couple of bed sheets and a lot of pillows in the living room. She was on her phone playing her favorite game, Tetris.
Peridot was so close to beating this one hard level, until she heard Amethyst walk through the door. The green Dorito, put aside her game and looked up to Amethyst.

Peridot: Ame'! (smiles widely)

Amethyst wore a black t-shirt with purple long sleeves under it, trying to cover her scratches. She wore short blue jeans and to top it off she had her hair in a messy pony-tail. Amethyst walked over to the fireplace, and dropped all the wood into the corner.

Amethyst: Hey...
(grabs lighter from pocket and starts fire)

Peridot: So? What are we planning to do?
Wanna play Truth or dare? (excitedly)

Amethyst: Sure...
(sits down in front of Peridot and crosses her legs together)

Peridot: Okay, you go first!

Amethyst: Alright, uh Peridot? Truth or Dare?

Peridot: Truth!

Amethyst: (sadly) What's the real reason why you wanted to see me?

Peridot: What do you mean?
Can't two girls just hang out?
(smiles)

Amethyst: (stares and narrows her eyes)

Peridot: (sighs) I wanted to check on you okay!
You really worried me when you left me like that! I was worried about you Amethyst...

Amethyst: (blushes but grabs a pillow to hide her face) ...It's your turn Peridot (smiles)

The two carry on Truth or Dare for at least an hour before Pearl and Connie interrupt them.

Pearl: Amethyst, can I talk to you for a second?

Amethyst: Uh alright? (looks to Peridot)
I'll be right back!
(runs over to Pearl and Connie)
What?

Pearl: Since Connie is safe, she has to return home, to her parents

Connie: (sad) I probably won't get to see you guys for a little while...

Amethyst: We'll see each other again!
(hugs Connie) I promise!

Connie: (hugs tighter) You're like the sister I never had! (laughs while eyes get watery)

Amethyst and Connie squeeze one last hug and drift away. Pearl and Connie make their way to the door and walk out, while Amethyst closes it. Amethyst watches them through the peep hole on the door until they disappear in the dark. She then goes back to the living room, where Peridot was.

Peridot: Who was that?

Amethyst: Just family, anyways want to do something else? We've been playing truth or dare for too long! At a sleepover, we've got to do exciting stuff!

Peridot: Hm, (taps chin) like what kind of fun?

Amethyst: We could watch some movies on Netflix! (pulls out phone) Let's watch it on my phone! (excited)

Peridot nods and they both sit on the couch together. Amethyst wraps a blanket around both of them and they scroll through the movie sections.

Amethyst: Action?
Peridot: Meh
Amethyst: Fiction?
Peridot: Nah
Amethyst: ...Romance?
Peridot: (scrunches nose) eeeehhhhh
Amethyst: Ugh! Make up your mind already!

Peridot: Let me see
(grabs Amethyst's phone and searches)
AHA!

Amethyst: Hm?

Peridot: Let's watch Star Wars!

Amethyst: What's that?

Peridot: Only the best sci-fi movie in the galaxy! I've watched all of the movies and cartoons! It's the best! You'll love it!
Let's start with the IV: New Hope!

Amethyst: (confused)
Wait isn't that the fourth?
Shouldn't we watch the first?

Peridot: No, it's just- you'll see! It'll make more sense when you watch it!

The two cuddle closer together with their arms touching. Amethyst could feel Peridot's warm skin against hers, which made her melt. She didn't want move because she didn't want to mess up this moment. This was perfect.
They watched most of the Star Wars series until Amethyst fell asleep on Peridot's shoulder. The green Dorito, blushed as she could feel Amethyst's soft hair touching her shoulder. It felt as if a cat was snuggling her.
Peridot smiled at the idea of Amethyst wearing a headband with cat ears and a cat tail. It'd be so adorable...she'd be adorable-Wait what?! What was going through Peridot's head! What's wrong with her?! This is her best friend! She can't like her like this! She has a girlfriend already! I'd be wrong to like Amethyst this way! She'd  probably never like her back anyway! Why would she ever like a nerd like herself?!

Peridot debated all these overflowing questions ruining her thoughts. She then realized what was happening...
