Pearl's POV

As I walked through the cold walls of the hospital, I got this uncomfortable tingle from my spine. I never liked the hospital because sure babies were born here but then there are dying and mental troubled people who stayed here too.
I passed a few open doors and heard some conversation from a patient and doctors/nurses.

"Congratulations! You're going to have a baby boy!"

"OH MY GOSH! HONEY DO YOU HEAR THAT! We're going to be parents!"

"HA HA HA"

Pearl smiles to herself. She felt happy for the couple who was going to have a baby.

One day

She thought to herself

At Garnet's hospital room

The nurse opens the door to number 102

"Ms. Garnet?"

"Yes?"

Pearl felt relieved when she heard Garnet's voice reply back

"Ms. Pearl Water would like to see you"

"Let her in please"

Pearl walked in putting on her best fake smile.
It killed her to see Garnet in so much pain.

Nurse: I'll let you two be alone... (closes the door)

Garnet: Pearl...

Pearl: (walks to Garnet and sits on the bed)
Y-yes?

Garnet: (grabs her hand and squeezes it)
I'm so sorry I put you through this!

Pearl: I'm just glad you're okay (smiles shyly)

Garnet pulled Pearl closer and kissed her forehead

Garnet: No really, is there something I can do
to make up for this?

Pearl: Don't be silly!
I'm just grateful you're alright!

Garnet smiles and looks down at their linked hands. She chuckled which made Pearl confused.

Pearl: What?

Garnet: (blushes) Those things you said back at the warehouse, did you mean them?

Pearl: ...(blushes and coughs)

Garnet: (teasingly) You love me!

Pearl: Of course I do, you dope! (chuckles)

Garnet: ...When we get out of here, can we do something together?

Pearl: (scoffs) Garnet Crystal Gem!
Are you asking me out on a date?
(smirks flirtingly)

Garnet: You betch ya! (smiles)

Pearl: Hehe, oh Garnet!
You have something on your lips!

Garnet: Where is-

Pearl smooches Garnet full of passion.
They stay like that for a minute or two, battling to see who was the best kisser. Garnet broke the kiss breathing in air. Pearl grabbed Garnet's neck and lured her back in. They longed to feel each other's touch for such a long time.

Ruby: AHEM! Garnet aren't you suppose to be getting rest!

Pearl jumped off Garnet and tumbled to the marbled floor. Garnet and her stood there nervously pretending nothing happened.
Sapphire raised her eyebrow inspecting the two

Sapphire: We're we interrupting something?
(smiles evils)

Garnet: (embarrassed) MOMS!

Ruby and Sapphire stood there in the doorway giggling. Pearl and Garnet looked over to each other, and shyly blushed. Sapphire put down the bouquet of flowers on the table and walked over to Garnet's bed. Ruby followed her wife and gave a scary glare at Pearl.

Pearl: I'll just be leaving now Garnet...
(grabs Garnet's hand and kisses her gem)
...I love you

Garnet: Love you too ❤️

Pearl walks towards the exit and turns around to Garnet. She blows a kiss and leaves. Sapphire and Ruby look at eachother and back to Garnet. What did this mean?

Ruby: So are you guys-

Sapphire: (finishes sentence) together, again?

Garnet: Yes (pulls out the two necklaces under the covers) Maybe we'll become something more 💝

Sorry that this chapter was so short with lovey-dovey stuff. I'm probably going to publish another chapter today! 😃
