It had been over two months since Omen had sent the light to jail, they had a hell of a lot of time on their hands now. The Justice League was starting to believe that Omen really wasn't as bad as he seemed. Omen denied it time and time again because he had killed people and still hated himself for it.
Omen was currently in the haunt on his laptop, he was figuring out a plan for something he had been meaning to do. Then he got a call from Batman to go to the mountain, he sighed as he closed his laptop and went to the mountain. Omen hid while he waited for Batman to show up and the hero did after about ten minutes.
The team went to meet him and Batman looked around, "Where's Omen?"
Omen laughed eerily, "Where do you think Batsy?"
Artemis looked around, "Will you stop doing that?!"
Omen made the lights flicker and he appeared with a smirk on his face, "Never." Omen looked at Batman, "So what's up back in black?"
Batman ignored the new nickname, "I need to talk to you."
"I didn't do it, you can't prove anything." Omen immediately replied, the heroes were about to respond but Omen cut them off, "I'm kidding. The only things I'm guilty of are killing people, being a huge fan of Doctor Spencer Reid, and being a badass."
Batman thought about all of the times he had proven that last one, if anyone was a badass it was Omen. The former assassin refused to get rid of his weapons and he still had them on all the time, Batman tried to get him to stop bringing them everywhere but Omen ignored him. Batman looked at Omen, "I've been talking to a few members of the League-"
"Let me guess, they want to lock me up again, oh, maybe they want to degrade me again. No wait, I got it, they want to give me back to the White Organization because they still hate me."
Superboy raised an eyebrow, "Did you rehearse that or something?"
"Nope, I just thought of it, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they did any of that though."
Batman felt a bit bad for Omen, he still didn't trust, let alone like, most of the League. After all the shit they had given him in the beginning no one could blame him for not wanting to be their friend. Batman shook his head, "No, we were discussing whether or not you should go to school."
Omen suddenly looked dead serious, "No, nope, no way in hell, I am not going to school."
Batman raised an eyebrow, "Why?"
Omen gave him a look that said 'are you serious' before he responded, "People are fucking annoying. Being with a bunch of hormonal teenagers and having to listen to their bullshit and drama is not my thing. What's your plan here, call me Jerome and make a few fake documents before sending me to the hell that is high school."
Batman looked slightly confused, "I have no idea how you come up with these things."
Omen crossed his arms, "Your dealing with a former assassin that has one upped the League several times already. I'm good at thinking on my feet and I'm sassy as hell, you're really surprised by all of this?"
"How about this, you can either go to school or you can join the team."
Omen's response was immediate, "School sounds awesome, when's my first day? I'll get the textbooks and have them memorized by Monday, bring it on mother fuckers!"
Batman quietly sighed, "Why are you so against joining the team?"
Omen put his hands in his pockets, "That's for me to know and you to never find out, so where do you want me to go to school anyway?"
"Gotham Academy, since you already live in Gotham it's the best option."
Omen rolled his eyes, "I know your other reasons behind your choice in schools men in tights, I'm not stupid."
Kid Flash seemed to think of something, "Wait, how are you going to explain Omen's appearance? He has white hair and he glows, you can't just pass it off as normal in a school full of normal kids."
Batman thought for a second before Omen spoke, "Batman, I must speak to you alone for a moment."
Batman raised an eyebrow but followed the ghost teen to another room, Omen looked at Batman once he was sure none of the young heroes could see them. "I am going to tell you something but you can't tell anyone, I will haunt you for the rest of your life if you do."
Batman nodded, "So what is it?"
Omen mentally sighed before he closed his eyes and transformed, Batman looked at Omen in shock. His hair was now black, his eyes were blue, and his clothes were also different, he looked a lot different. "I'm only half ghost, this is my human form, I can go to school in my human form, just change my last name and your set."
Batman could tell that Omen really didn't want to do this but it was for his own good, he needed to get used to being around people. Batman nodded, "Then what should I change your name to?"
"Daniel Phantom, I can handle creating fake documents and what have you, it's not that hard. Just remember not to tell anyone about me being half human, I've kept that secret for six years and I'd like to keep it that way."
Omen made the lights flicker and he was gone, Omen texted Batman saying to send him the details for the school and he left the mountain. He transformed and teleported back home, he wanted to go home and not deal with people for a while. Omen got back to the haunt and he felt like hitting his head on the wall, he had to go to school now.
Omen sighed before he walked over to his laptop, he might as well do some work since he didn't have anything to do.
