How You Make Me Feel

Bad influence 17

Hinata woke up the next morning and smiled as she saw him sleeping with his face buried in her neck. His jaw length hair was splayed out all over the place. She smiled softly as she brushed the hair away from his face. "Good morning, Madara..." she whispered as his eyes fluttered open. "Morning, Hinata." He whispered back and hugged her closer to him. "Do you think we should have told your family you woke up?" she asked softly, ashamed they had spent a full day without telling them.

He pursed his lips as he sat up and tapped his chin, only to shake his head and trap Hinata beneath him. She giggled as he showered her lips, jaw, and neck with kisses. "I think they will be just fine. They dealt with me for years, so I think you having to deal with me for a full day without interruptions is fair enough." He said and she smiled up at him. "I feel like it's mean, though." She said and he sighed and flopped back over. "I'm still tired..." he sighed and she sat up and rubbed her thumb over his cheek.

"I understand exactly how you feel. When I woke up I felt so weak and I was so tired... it took me about fifteen minutes to gather the energy to get out of bed." She sighed and he nodded with a deep sigh. "And then I felt like I was going to fall the entire time I was running to get out of here. I was dizzy, weak, and panic stricken. But I ran right into Hashirama... that was where I think I messed up. I think if I hadn't run into him I would have made it out front." She said and he chuckled. "Well if you are worried about me trying to take off and run, everything I would run to is right here beside me." he whispered as he looked up at her from where he lay.

Her eyes softened and she smiled. "Good morning Hinata," the nurse began as she opened the door, but the tray she held fell from her hands, scattering equipment all over the floor. She stared in shock at the sight of his red eyes. Her mouth opened in closed as she tried to find her words. "He's awake." She whispered in awe and he sat up in the bed, with a slight struggle, but he made it. He smiled at her softly, his smile just the slightest tilt of his lips.

"Could you please not inform my family yet, I would like to spend some more time with Hinata before they get here." Madara asked and Hinata offered the nurse a small smile. The nurse nodded rapidly and rushed out of the room. The doctor from the first few days rushed in and he stared at Madara in awe. Hinata didn't really want to talk to the man. She had her reasons. He noticed she didn't want to talk to him so he nodded and left the room.

Madara looked from Hinata who still held an irritated look, to the doctor as he walked away. "What was that about?" he asked and she looked over at him and wrapped her arms around his neck as she hugged him tightly. "He told me that I should give up on you... he wanted me to say goodbye." She whispered and he frowned as he wrapped his arms around her tightly. "While I was out... I wished you would have given up on me and moved on, but I was scared to let you go." He whispered and she pulled back away from him slightly.

"I would never give up on you..." She whispered and he chuckled. "Good to know you're as determined to make this work as I am." He said and she smiled at him. "If I weren't I wouldn't be in this bed with you while you were in a hospital gown now would I?" she asked with a small laugh and he laughed. "And I doubt you would have allowed me to sit in your bed with you in a hospital gown if you hadn't trusted me." he said and she rolled her eyes.

"Of course." She said with a yawn and he chuckled. "Get some more sleep, you need it. You've been doing nothing but stressing over me for months, you deserve it." he said and she smiled at him. "I'm surprised you haven't complained about your hair yet." She said and he pouted and rubbed his eyes with his fingers. "I don't want to think about that right now..." he whispered and she smiled up at him. "What I do want to ask is why you cut your hair..." he said and gave her a look. "I loved your long hair." He said and she smiled, her eyes glowing softly. "Well I love you and I know how much you loved your long hair. I didn't want you to be alone." She whispered as she snuggled into his side.

He sent her a defeated look, but his eyes were soft as he ran his fingers through her hair. "Get some sleep dear... you will need it..." he whispered as she hugged him tightly, but her eyes fluttered at him slowly. It was about an hour later when her phone began to vibrate. He knew how she set her ringtones, so if he had let it vibrate any longer it would have begun playing music. He swiftly began searching for the offending object, seeing as it was somewhere in the bed with the two of them. He pulled the blanket back the slightest bit and sighed as he found it.

Well.... More like the outline of it.

The phone was in her back pocket.

He sighed and prepared himself for any and all scoldings he was going to receive, and then he stuck his fingers in her back pocket and carefully removed the object and hit ignore just as the vocals of the song had begun to play. He sighed and pulled the blanket back over Hinata, a dusting of pink covering his cheeks. She was going to kill him if she found out he had dug in the back pocket of her jeans while she was in them. He looked at her phone, then sighed as he reached for his own that lay on the table next to the bed. He couldn't for the life of him figure out why his phone were there, last he had seen of it was at Izuna's. That had been the night he had actually spent there.

He glanced down at Hinata as he turned her phone on silent. He let a small smile cross his lips as he unlocked her phone. He was curious. Her lock screen had been of Himawari lake, which wasn't surprising in the slightest. Hinata loved sunflowers. His eyes widened slightly when he saw her main background. It was him. She had used a picture of him as her background. His eyes darted over to his phone and he swiped it from the table. He typed in his code and blushed when he realized his background was now a different picture.

It was still a picture of her, but it was a newer picture of her. He had always had pictures of her in his phone, because he was a tad weird. He loved it when she smiled, so he had taken pictures of her when she wasn't paying attention... even before it became official they were somewhat friends. It started he was trying to show off to his friends what a lovely woman came to his shop day after day without fail...

Hashirama told him he was creepy, so he had stopped taking pictures. He honestly really wished he could have gotten one of her in that lovely dress she'd worn to her prom. That would have been one he never would have deleted. He smiled as he ran his thumb over his screen. She had taken a picture just to put it as his background. He looked back over to her phone and shook his head with a small smile. Apparently she enjoyed taking pictures as well, seeing as she had caught him off guard for the picture on her background.

About two to three hours later, Hinata was still sleeping, he was reading a book that the nurse had given him, and he had gotten bored of trying to look through all of Hinata's pictures on her phone. His doorknob moved and he flipped the page of the book he was reading. 'Here comes the crowd.' He thought with a smirk. He had spent this entire time ignoring all messages from his family and hers alike. He figured that one of them would come running soon enough.

The door opened slowly and Izuna peered in and saw Hinata only to pull himself back out of the room. Madara looked up from his book and quirked a brow. "Hey, in or out, but whatever you choose... do so quietly." Madara said nonchalantly and Izuna peered back in. "Oh, ok sorry Mad-" it took him a second but he threw the large door opened and stared at the man in the bed in awe.

"Madara!" he managed, then ran over to the bed. His mother and father in the doorway with the same shocked look on their faces. "Why didn't you let us know you were awake!" his mother hissed, tears streaming down her face as she angrily beat him with the small rabbit Hinata had bought him. "Hey! Hey! Don't damage the broken man!" he managed through his laughter as his mother threw the small rabbit at his face.

By now Hinata was drowsily staring around the room at all the noisy people. "I told you that you were going to need the nap, Hinata." He said softly and she smiled at him groggily. "Good morning Hinata." Aurora's voice came out and a deep blush crossed Hinata's cheeks as she looked down at her lap. "I'm sorry! I wanted to tell you that he was awake but he said he wanted to spend the night and most of the day with me alone!" she stammered out and Aurora looked over at Madara, her anger had completely vanished from her gaze.

"No more Madara..." she whispered as she placed both hands on his cheeks and rubbed his cheekbones. "No more fighting... no more reckless stunts... no more... promise me..." she whispered with unshed tears in her eyes. He placed a hand on his mothers' and smiled. "I promise... no more." He said and Hinata looked at him oddly. "Fighting?" she asked and he frowned at herm when his mother removed her hands from his face.

"I... I will explain that later on. Not here. Not in the hospital. I will tell you when we get to Izuna's house." He said and she fiddled with her fingers lightly. "You mean your house?" she asked and his movements ceased. "I have no home of my own. I live with Izuna." He said and she looked away from his confused gaze. "There may be nothing there... but you do have a home, Madara. You don't have to act like you live with me anymore." Izuna said and Madara looked over at his younger brother in an angered sort of shock.

"What are you talking about." He snapped softly and Izuna frowned. "She knows." He said and Madara fisted his hands in the blanket. "I'm going to guess that you told her?" he asked, his voice soft, but Hinata could hear the anger in his soft tone. "I asked, Madara." Hinata lied and he looked over at her in surprise. "Why?" he asked and she linked her arm with his. "Because... I worry about you. I want you to promise that you won't do this again... I don't want you to struggle." She whispered and he sighed, his shoulders dropping. His hands only released their death grip on the blanket when her hand placed itself on his.

"I promise." He whispered and she smiled at him brightly. "Now, you have a lot of promises to fulfil." She said and he looked over at her. She held the bunny that his mother had hit him with up to him. "Bunny-chan says Mada-bear better keep his promises. Bunny-chan doesn't want to have to maul his face again." Hinata said softly and Madara cracked a smile. "Mada bear?" he asked and she smiled. "I think Mada bear is nicer than wookie, don't you?" she asked and he ran his hand over his chin. "See while you were in the coma, they would shave your face, now that is a job for you again." Hinata said and he chuckled.

"I do need a shave don't I?" he asked and she nodded. "Yes. It's not bad right now, but it's scratchy." She said and his mother laughed lightly as he smirked at Hinata. He acted like he was going to lean in and give her a kiss but he rubbed his stubble over her cheek to make her screech and push him away. "If you don't shave I'm not kissing you again." She said and he gave her a look that clearly read 'Oh really?'

He tried to kiss her but she slipped herself out of the bed and ran to the other side of the room, her bare feet slapping against the floor. Tajima laughed at the antics of the two. It was as if nothing had even happened to him. The two of them had started right back where they had left off. He looked to his wife to see her smiling as she watched the two of them bicker from across the room. Izuna cleared his throat and the two dark haired twenty something year olds looked at him in confusion. "Hinata, if he gets out of bed now you will see his ass. And by ass, I do not mean the him you are looking at now, but the full moon. Well I mean... you will see his ass, because he is one... but you understand what I mean." Izuna said and Hinata blushed darkly.

Madara allowed a smirk to cross his lips and he tossed back the blankets. He was about to toss a leg over the side of the bed when Aurora threw her flip flop at him. It whizzed right past his head and he pulled that leg right back up and tossed the blankets back over him faster than she could swipe the other flip flop off. "God. I never thought he would have this much energy having just come out of a coma." Aurora sighed as she hobbled over to grab her other flip flop. Madara just smiled at his mother like nothing was wrong.

She gave him a dirty look and his smile only proceeded to become more innocent, as if that were even in Madara's nature. Izuna sighed and rolled his eyes. He was not about to catch that shoe from his mother. He looked at his watch and smiled. "I suppose it's time for us to go. Our breaks are about over." He said and the other two sighed. "I will see you all at work tomorrow." Hinata said and Tajima waggled a finger at her. "No missy. We will not." He said and Aurora smiled at her. "Stay here. You deserve a break." She said and Hinata looked from them to Madara and her eyes softened.

"But..." she began and Aurora shook her head. "No buts. And Madara..." his mother began and he looked over at her with a smile. "I will bring you your guitar in the morning. Maybe you can play for Hinata some." She said and he grinned. "Of course." He said and his mother smiled at Hinata once more. "Make sure he plays for you. It will fine tune his motor skills. Think of it as an enjoyable version of physical therapy." Aurora said and Hinata nodded with a smile.

"I can think of another form of physical therapy I would enjoy." Madara butted in but Hinata's horrified face, his father's shocked face, and his mother's enraged face landed on him. "What? I was talking about walking. I want to go for a walk." He said defensively and his parents gave him a disapproving look. "What? You're the ones who thought I was being dirty. Especially you Hinata, I'm ashamed. I thought you weren't dirty minded. I would just like to walk is all." He said with a defeated sigh.

Hinata didn't buy it for a second, there it was. The closet pervert Madara has shown itself. "Anyways, I will play for her tomorrow if you bring my guitar." He sighed and the nodded at him, the unamused looks not leaving their faces once as they left the room. He glanced over at Hinata and saw her walking towards a chair. "Oh come on, love. You don't think I honestly meant it for real. I was playing with you..." he said and she pouted at him. "You are going to shave before I get back into that bed because you're so pitiful I will end up kissing you." She whispered and he laughed.

He called the nurse and she smiled as she entered the room. "Hello you two, how are you this lovely afternoon?" she asked and Hinata smiled. "I'm well." She said and Madara nodded. "I am as well. I just need a little assistance. I would like to bathe and shave. My lovely girlfriend says she won't kiss me until my stubble is gone." He said and the nurse laughed. "And why would that be? She seemed all too Happy to do so earlier." The nurse said with a smile and Madara chuckled.

"It seems rubbing my stubble all over her cheeks changed that." "He's scratchy and pitiful and I want to hug him but he keeps scratching me with his stubble." Hinata said from her chair in the corner, her lips firmly planted in a pout. The nurse laughed and Madara looked to the corner of the ceiling in the opposite side of the room as Hinata. "Hinata, might wanna turn around." The nurse said and Madara heard Hinata turning the chair as the nurse helped him out of the bed. "You know I have to make sure you don't fall in the shower right, which means I will be in the bathroom with you." She said and Madara began sputtering indignantly.

"It's not like I haven't seen you nude before, in you go. Come on." the nurse laughed as she ushered him into the bathroom. "Hinata help." He called and Hinata shook her head. "I'm your girlfriend, not your wife. I'm not going to look at you naked no matter what you say." Hinata stammered and he laughed. "Oh come on Hinata." He said and the nurse cleared her throat. "In. Shower now." She commanded and Madara blushed lightly as he looked back to Hinata who was still facing the wall with her hands firmly over her eyes.

"You'll share a bed with me when I am covered by a nearly see through cloth in the right light, and yet you won't come help me in the shower?" he asked with a smirk and heard Hinata sputter from her corner. "T-That's different!" she managed and he laughed. "Not really." He said and the nurse cleared her throat once more causing him to look at her in confusion. "If you don't stop bothering the lady I will make her leave and not come back until you're able to be discharged." She threatened and he sighed.

"I love you Hinata. If I die in this shower... just know... I would have lived if you were- OW! Dammit woman I'm coming!" he snapped and the nurse laughed as she closed the door behind him. Hinata sighed and turned the chair back around as she did so. "Ah so the mighty closet pervert finally reveals itself." Izuna's amused voice rang out and Hinata sighed deeply. "Izuna... I very much love that man." She sighed and he laughed.

"I know Hinata. I know." He chuckled and sat next to her. "I thought you had to go back to work." Hinata said and a small blush covered Izuna's cheeks. "Uh. Well I kinda sorta have someone watching my shop for me." he said and Hinata blinked and looked over at him. "Who?" she asked and he smiled sheepishly. "Hanabi and Sasuke." He said and Hinata gave him an impressed look. "So you managed to get them to sit in the same room, much less work together?" she asked and he nodded.

"Should I be worried?" he asked and Hinata looked at him with pursed lips. "If you value anything in the shop... like the lives of your customers... then yes." She said and he sighed. "Are they rude?" he asked and Hinata gave him an apologetic glance. "They are... kind of..." she said and he sighed. "Alright, well I will go save your younger sister." He sighed and she smiled. "Take care of her." She said and he smiled at her. "I will. You take care of my brother for me... he's the only one I've got left... I don't want to lose him too." Izuna said as he stood and made his way out of the room.

"Dammit woman why do I still have to have that infernal thing?" Madara's irate voice echoed from the bathroom and Hinata sighed. "Look, Madara. I have orders to replace it, not remove it. Take it up with Tsunade when she comes back, alright?" the nurse sighed and Hinata blinked at the bathroom door in confusion. "S-son of a... F-fu- Ow!" his pained yelps echoed from within the bathroom. Hinata was slightly curious, but then again she didn't want to know what was causing him so much pain in the slightest. "Careful woman!" he snapped and Hinata could hear the eye roll in the nurses' voice.

"You're a difficult one. This is why I prefer putting those in sedated patients, they don't quite complain as much as you do." She sighed and he huffed in irritation. "There, done." She sighed and he huffed once more. "When can I get the damnable thing removed?" he asked and she opened the door to usher him back in, a new catheter bag hanging on his heart monitor. Hinata's lips parted in an 'oh' and she blushed lightly. That was what was hurting him so much. He grumbled as the nurse helped him back in the bed. "Would you two actually like something to eat now?" the nurse asked and Madara shook his head. "Hinata said she was gonna grab something in a little bit. Thanks though." He said, his tone polite once he was actually away from the bathroom and anything that could cause him harm from within.

"Alright." She said and motioned for Hinata to return to her place with Madara. "There you go, stubble free." She laughed and Hinata smiled at her softly as she slipped back into the bed with Madara. He crossed his arms over his chest and looked away from her, making her tilt her head at him in confusion. "Madara? What's wrong?" she asked and his lower lip poked out slightly. "Madara?" she asked as she poked him in the arm lightly.

His eyes twitched to her, then flickered back to the wall. She leaned forwards on her knees and leaned around him with a small smile. "You big baby. Look at me." she said and placed her hands on his cheeks to turn his face towards her, but all that she succeeded in doing was squishing his cheeks. She huffed and scooted further down the bed so she could turn and sit on her feet so she could stare him in the eyes.

"Hey." She greeted him with a small smile. "Was it really that bad shaving and showering?" she asked and he glanced at her. "Those things were definitely not the issue." He sighed as he looked her in the eyes. She blinked owlishly at him and he blushed lightly. "Damn those eyes of yours." He said with a small chuckle and she smiled at him. "Even if you don't like the catheter, will you endure for a few more days?" she asked and he gave her an appalled look.

"I have a tube...." He began and she fought the smile that tugged at her lips. "Crammed in my-" he started once more but she cut him off with a soft kiss to his nose. "I know where it's at, Madara." She said and he quirked a brow. "Then remove it, you're a CNA right? You removed your own." He said and she blushed darkly and shook her head. "I'm not removing y-yours." She stammered and he chuckled as he leaned forwards and caught her lips in a kiss. "I know." He whispered against her lips and she stared at him wide eyed as his half lidded eyes met with hers.

The look in his exotic red and black eyes made her heart flutter. She could still feel the warmth of his breath on her lips as he leaned to close the gap once more; however, a knock interrupted him. He had almost elected to ignore it, but there was another noise that accompanied the knock. An irritated twitch found his lips as sniffling was heard. He leaned back away from Hinata and glanced towards the door as she tried to regain her composure. Once she managed to recover some of her composure she readjusted herself to settle back into the bed beside him, the deep blush still on her cheeks.

"M-Madara..." Hashirama's voice came out in a sob as he rushed to Madara's side of the hospital bed. When he got there he proceeded to cry all over his darker haired friend's shoulder. "I was so scared I was going to lose you..." he whined and Madara took a deep breath and looked to Hinata for her help. However she was conversing softly with a red haired woman. Madara furrowed his brow as he recognized the lady as Mito Uzumaki.

"Hashirama, come here." She called and Hashirama tore himself away from the Uchiha reluctantly. He made his way over to her and began hugging her instead. "I was so worried Mito..." he sobbed loudly and Mito sighed with a small smile. "I know Hashirama... I know..." she whispered as she patted his back. Hinata blinked and looked from the two to Madara, who was giving her the same confused glance that she was giving him. "Look Hashirama, I think you're upsetting Hinata." Mito said and Hinata shook her head rapidly, but the redhead gave her a sharp look.

The look alone told her to act like she was disturbed by Hashirama's behavior.

And she did, the weirded out look returned to Hinata's face and Hashirama attempted to gather his composure. Hinata looked back to Mito who nodded at her gratefully. "Hey Hinata... are you hungry?" Madara asked and Hinata blinked as she looked over at him in confusion. His eyes were locked on the red haired woman, who hadn't noticed he was staring yet. "Uh... yeah." She said and he broke his eyes from the Uzumaki to smile at her softly. "Me too." He said and she smiled at him cutely.

"I'll go get us our food." Hinata said and started to get out of the bed but he grabbed her by the wrist and tugged her towards him softly. Her cheeks flushed and he smiled. "M-Madara?" she tried to ask but he brushed a soft little kiss to her lips, making her blush darker, but smile all the same. "I love you." He whispered and she smiled brightly. "I love you too." She said as he released the gently hold he had on her. As she slipped her shoes on, his gaze returned to the red haired woman with Hashirama, although this time she caught him staring. She just raised a brow at him and he blinked and an embarrassed smile crossed his lips at him having been caught.

"Never seen a pregnant lady before?" she asked with a smile and he nodded. "I have. That's not it. I just never thought Hashirama would commit." Madara said and watched as Hinata left the room with a smile. "Now it is your turn." Hashirama said, seemingly completely recovered from his previous sobbing fit. Madara furrowed his brows at Hashirama. "Come on Madara, you can't sit here and think she will wait forever for you to ask." He said and Madara shook her head. "I know she won't, but I'm not going to ask her." He said and Hashirama looked at him oddly.

"Why not?" Hashirama asked and Mito glared at the dark haired male. His spiky hair fell around his face as he shook his head. "I'm just not going to ask her." He said and Hashirama grinned as he understood Hashirama's meaning. "You're going to surprise her." He said and Madara shook his head. "One day I want her to be my wife... I have yearned to be this close to her since we were children, I'm not going to ask her to marry me when we haven't even been together a month." Madara said and Hashirama opened his mouth to speak but Mito elbowed him.

"The seven or so months he was comatose do not count, Hashirama." She scolded and Hashirama blushed. "And you." Madara said, pointing an accusing finger at Hashirama who went wide eyed. "You went and got married and I wasn't even awake to be invited to the wedding." He snapped and Hashirama fumbled over his words. "About that... uh..." he began but Mito smiled at Madara. "Don't worry Madara, we are married only in documentation, we never had a real wedding. I wanted to wait for the best man to wake." She explained and Madara smiled lightly.

"You didn't have to put off your ceremony for me. I was just playing." Madara said as Hinata trotted back into the room her short bob bouncing as she made her way in, smiling radiantly. "Madara I brought you your food." She said and he smirked. "I hope it's-" he began and as if she had foresaw the perversion in his words she sent him a pointed look and he clamped his mouth shut. "What happened while I was out, she knew what was coming before I could even get it out." Madara said with a slight blush.

"Mito bought her-" Hashirama began but Hinata sent him a seething look, her cheeks bright red. "I thought we agreed n-not to talk about that." She managed, the thought of the item in her purse making her blush darkly. This caught Madara's interest and he looked from the blushing Hinata, to the amused Hashirama, to the smirking Mito. "I'm not going to ask. Hinata come here." Madara said with a chuckle as he held his arms open to her.

She set his food down on his table and crawled into the bed and hugged him tightly. She smiled as she snuggled into his side and pulled the table over their laps. "I brought you something too, Hashirama, Mito." Hinata offered with a smile and the two smiled as they sat down. Hinata handed each of them a plate and they thanked her. "Hey Hinata, did I hear my car when you left?" Madara asked and Hinata almost choked on her noodles. She looked up at him in confusion, but then he pointed to the open window, the parking garage was directly across from his window.

She blushed and looked over to where the deep black mustang sat in wait. Hashirama chuckled and shook his head. "I told you he would hear it." Hashirama said and Hinata pouted at him. "I know. I just didn't think it was that loud." She said and Hashirama quirked a brow at her. "I can hear you coming in that thing about a mile away. Izuna calls and tells Samui you should be at work soon when he hears you coming. He doesn't have to even see you." Hashirama joked and Hinata smiled.

"I know. That's how I always knew when Madara was near my house. I knew that day was going to be fun." Hinata laughed lightly and Madara smooshed his cheek against the side of her head and he nuzzled her. "My Hinata loves me so much..." he chuckled and Hashirama rolled his eyes. Hinata just turned to him and smiled. "So what else were you doing while I was in hell?" he asked and she smiled at him.

"I work at the bakery now." She said and he tilted his head to look at her curiously. "Whatever happened to the culinary school?" he asked and she shook her head. "I didn't go. I figured I would have enough time to learn how to cook while working with your dad." Hinata said and Madara frowned. "You didn't go because you couldn't concentrate." He said, it wasn't a question, he knew.

"I was worried about you. I couldn't for the life of me think of anything else." Hinata said as she shoved her noodles around with her fork. "Hey." He called to her and she looked up at him. "I missed you." He whispered and she smiled lightly. "I missed you too." She said as she took the hand he had offered her and entwined her fingers with his. "You are going to go to culinary school even if I have to fund it." Madara said and Hashirama refrained from the eye roll that attempted to set itself free.

"I think we have learned this lesson. You are not to buy me anything. You are not to fund my schooling. You... are going to-" she began with a small smile, but he grabbed the small bunny she had always sat on his shoulder and he made it stare her in the eyes. "Bunny gets the hint. Madara gets the hint. Madara will be good, right bunny?" Madara asked the rabbit then made it nod at him.

"Bunny says Madara says sorry for being a panicking dork." Madara said and Hinata turned to look at him. He grinned at her and all she could do was frown lightly. Her eyes were watering and Madara's grin dulled. "I'm really sorry Hinata... I just wanted you to be happy..." he whispered and placed his forehead against hers. "You don't understand Madara... I am... I truly am. I am so happy to be with you. Please don't neglect your responsibilities for me..." she whispered and he placed a kiss on her forehead.

"I promise I will not neglect my responsibilities." He said and she offered him a small smile as she looked him in the eyes. "Unless those responsibilities are keeping me away from you." He said and she smiled wider. "Hey Mito, how long before they get married. They're cute." Hashirama said and Madara rolled his eyes at his friend. "How long before you two end up with three kids and a white picket fence?" Madara asked with a smirk and Hashirama blushed.

"I don't think I can do three-" "I want many children Hashirama. I will have as many as I can give birth to or I will begin adopting kittens." Mito said and Hashirama blushed. "Might wanna get busy after that one is born, Hashirama. She's got a good twenty something years before she will be unable to have kids. Have fun with your fifty children." Madara said as he took a bite of his food. Hinata shook her head in astonishment. "I want two." She said and Madara choked on the bite of food. He began coughing loudly and Hinata looked over at him with a deep red blush.

"Looks like someone else is gonna have to get busy, Madara you heard the lady." Hashirama laughed, but his laughter ceased as someone cleared their throat from the door. "D-dad..." Hinata stammered and hid her face in Madara's pillow. "I'm going to pretend I heard none of this conversation and I never want to hear of it again." Hiashi said and Madara took a deep breath as he attempted to regain his composure. Hiashi held a hand out to Madara who reached over his food and grasped it firmly.

"I'm glad you're back." Hiashi said and Madara looked at him curiously for a moment, before he watched the older man's eyes drift to his daughter and how much happier she looked now that he was awake. A smile crossed Madara's lips as he looked at her as she talked animatedly with Mito about her favorite food. "Hey Madara." Neji greeted and Madara opened his arms to the younger man who had offered him a hand. "You're not shaking my damn hand, get over here." Madara said and Neji laughed lightly as he hugged Madara.

Neji reached over and began stealing food from Hinata's plate and she squealed. "Neji! That's mine!" she squealed as she smacked at his hands. "I know," Neji began before cramming a bite of her food in to his mouth. "That's why I stole from that plate and not Madara's." he said and swiped her roll, to which she pouted at him. "So where is Hanabi?" Madara asked and Hiashi frowned. "I think it would be best not to ask that." Hinata said and Madara blinked and looked at her oddly.

"My sister has finally succeeded in winning over Izuna. He still keeps his distance because he gets that look from father. He hasn't kissed her; he is terrified to hold her hand, and is absolutely petrified to get within three feet of her when father is around. They have a long distance relationship... in a sort." Hinata said offhandedly and that glare landed on Madara; who glanced over at Hinata, terrified.

"I can see why..." he managed and looked straight down at his food, avoiding the glare from the elder Hyuuga. With a smug look Hiashi placed a kiss on the top of Hinata's head and made his way out of the hospital room. He came back seconds later and gave Madara the protective dad look. "Don't make me regret letting her stay in that bed with you." He said, but Tsume appeared in the doorway and she gave him a dirty look. "We are going to be late for our dinner with Shibi and his wife, come on." she snapped and Hiashi flashed the look at Madara once more before walking away with a 'Yes dear.'

"Shino and Kiba are so lucky they never actually tried to get with me when we were kids. Father would have scared them away" Hinata sighed and Madara looked over at Hinata with jealousy in his eyes. "Oh, look at the time... we need to go." Mito said as she looked out the window. "Love you Hinata!" Hashirama yelled as he was drug from the hospital room, which made those jealousy filled eyes narrow at her.

"Why does he say these things?" he asked with a pout and she rolled her eyes. "Madara... who am I in the bed with?" she asked and he smirked. "Who is he married to?" she asked and he thought about it for a moment then nodded in an iffy manner. "Understandable. I think the Uzumaki are psychos at times. And..." he began as he wrapped his arms around her tightly. "You are in my bed, with me. Which is where you will stay." He said as he leaned to kiss her on the cheek.

"Of course... there is absolutely nowhere else I would rather be." She said and smiled up at him. He flopped back on to the pillows and she turned to look at him with soft eyes. He had cried his eyes out when he had woke up. She had a feeling it was because he didn't honestly believe he was actually awake. She set aside her plate and pushed the bedside table away from them. She lay back on the bed and stared at him with a small smile. He rolled over onto his side and propped his head up on his hand using his elbow to elevate it.

"So." He began as she grinned at him. "So?" she asked and he leaned closer to her. "I love you." He said and she started to say it back, but he leaned in really quickly and licked her then fell backwards laughing. She stared at him in a mixture in disgust and irritation as she wiped the trail his tongue had left from her chin up her cheek. She glared up at him and opened her mouth to sputter something at him but he leaned forward and cut her off with a slightly open mouthed kiss.

Her stomach jumped and her face flushed red once he had kissed her. He added a little bit of weight into the kiss and her eyes fluttered shut. When he pulled away she felt like breathing itself were something she had forgotten to do. All of her irritation had vanished from her mind as she stared up at him from where he was leaning halfway over her. She reached and placed her hand on his cheek and rubbed her thumb over his cheekbone. He leaned down for another kiss, but a knock on the door made him sigh. He returned to his side of the bed and looked at the blonde woman in the doorway with a slight irritation in his eyes.

"Tsunade." He greeted and she smiled at him. "I'm glad to see you're doing well, didn't take you very long to get back into the swing of things, did it?" she asked with an amused smirk. Hinata avoided the blonde woman's eyes, a deep red blush adorning her cheeks. "How are you tonight?" she asked and he smirked at Hinata. "Never felt better." He said and Hinata bit her lip slightly, the tone of his voice made her stomach do the same flips it had when he had kissed her.

"That's good to hear." She said as she flipped through his chart. She placed the chart back at the end of the bed and she crossed her arms over her chest. "Alright, so as you probably already know, you're going to be here under observation. Which means no strenuous activities." She said and Hinata blushed a deeper shade of red, which surprised Madara. He wondered how dark her blushes could go.

"Alright, no physical exercise of any sort." He chuckled and Hinata seemed to be fighting away the irritation she felt for him at the moment. "And we need to monitor your intake of fluids, and we also have to remove your catheter. So there's another reason not to get all worked up." Tsunade said with a smirk as Madara's amused face became a horrified one. "It is in your best interest not to get all hot and bothered while that's still there, might end up hurting more than you need to." Tsunade said and Hinata averted her eyes from both Madara and Tsunade.

"If you seem to pass fluids like normal, I will remove it in a few days." Tsunade said and Madara grumbled. "Hey, at least you weren't intubated for long. Would have been a nasty surprise to wake up choking on a tube." Tsunade said as she wrote on the dry erase bored what her orders were. "And besides... wasn't waking up with her beside you that best damn way you could have woken up? I think waking up with the one you love there would be the best damn therapy anyone could ever need." Tsunade said and checked her phone.

"Well goodnight you two. I have a date." Tsunade said and made her way out of the room. Hinata giggled behind her hand and Madara looked at her in confusion. "She's with Jiraiya now. Ever since she came back he's been pleading for her to give him another chance. She seems much happier now that he's stopped with his old ways." She said and Madara smiled at her.

He nuzzled his nose with hers and she giggled and nuzzled back. "I love you." She whispered and he grinned and kissed the tip of her nose. "I love you too." He said and placed a gentle kiss on her lips before he snuggled into his pillow. She snaked her arms around him and buried her face in the crook of his neck and closed her eyes with a sigh. "Oh..." she whispered and he blinked as she leaned back the slightest bit. "I forgot to tell Mito my answer..." she said and he raised a brow at her. "To what?" he asked and she smiled at him.

"The reason I love you." She said and he blushed lightly. "Why do you love me?" he asked and she smiled.

I couldn't figure out an exact reason why I loved you, instead there were many reasons I love you. There were many things I love about you, but I couldn't pinpoint the why." She said and he listened intently. "It wasn't because you saved me, as grateful as I am. It wasn't because of how you look, it wasn't because you chose me, or even because of how you treat me... it wasn't because of how you make me feel." She said and he smiled lightly.

"I don't need a reason to love you. I just do. I love everything about you and I wouldn't give you up for anything in the world. I love you because you are my everything and I can't live without you." She whispered and he smiled at her as he hugged her tightly. "How do I make you feel?" he asked, his tone genuinely curious. "You make me feel like I'm falling from a great height and at the very last moment, you catch me. You make my stomach do flips and my heart beat out of my chest." She whispered and he sighed deeply which made her look up at him.

"Well now that I know I'm not the only one I can genuinely say I'm not dying."

Hope you all enjoyed!
