Her Love

Her fingers trembled as she stared at him. "Please... please don't say it..." she whispered, trying so hard to hold back the fearful tears. "I... I didn't know what to do... I think I helped him... I have no idea..." He whispered and she just continued to stare at him with shaky eyes.

"I... I told him not to go to sleep... but...you know how he is... he doesn't listen... he wouldn't listen. I only walked away for a few minutes... and he went unconscious..." Izuna sobbed and Hinata's eyes began to prick. "Izuna..." she began and he sobbed loudly. "He started seizing, and I didn't know what to do Hinata... I had no idea what to do!" he sobbed and she hugged him tightly. "He's at the hospital Hinata..." he whispered as he clutched her tightly.

"He's alive though, right?" She asked and he nodded into her shoulder. "Yes... but for how long I have no idea." He sobbed and she frowned as she tried to console him. "How about we head over to the hospital? she asked and he looked at her blankly. "How did you get here?" she asked and he rubbed his eyes. "I ran." was all he said and she stared at him wide eyed. "Alright..." she whispered as she led him to her father's car around the side of the driveway. "We are going to go there alright?" she asked and he nodded. Her father slipped into the driver's seat and they made their way to the hospital. When they arrived both Hinata and Izuna made their way to Madara's room.

"Are you his family?" the nurse asked as she heard them walk in, but only once she turned around did she recognize Hinata. "Oh no... dearie.." She whispered and Hinata's lip trembled as she made her way over to Madara. "Miss Lily..." Hinata whispered and the nurse patted her on the back. "He hasn't fallen into a coma, but his injuries are severe..." she said and Hinata lifted Madara's hair to see that the gash was irritated and looked like it was going to continue to swell.

"Where is his doctor?" Hinata asked and Nurse Lily looked around, only to catch sight of his doctor and take off towards him. "Mr. Kaneki!" she called and the brown haired male looked at her. "The brother is here, he can give you a history." She said and the doctor nodded, and followed her into the room. When he caught sight of Hinata he sighed. "You and your friends have the worst of luck." He sighed and she nodded. "Alright, what happened to cause this?" he asked and they explained that he had fallen. "Alright... before he seized..." He began, then locked eyes with Izuna. "Was there any loss of consciousness, memory issues, confusion, drowsiness, double or blurred vision, headaches, nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light or noise, instability while walking, or slowed reactions? If so please inform me as to which because it could save his life." The doctor said, he wasn't harsh, but he was trying to figure this out.

"He kept saying he was tired, but I wouldn't let him sleep. I knew that if they had a possible concussion you shouldn't. I walked away to get him something to drink and he hit the floor and began convulsing. I had kept waking him up beforehand..." Izuna explained and the doctor nodded. "You've never dealt with a concussion this bad, have you?" The doctor asked and Izuna shook his head.

Hinata's head snapped towards him in confusion. "How many concussions has he had that you know of?" the doctor asked and Izuna frowned. "In his entire life, four. None ever this bad though... they were mainly sports or fighting injuries." Izuna said and then he looked over at his brother, whose hair was splayed across the pillows and his face contorted in silenced pain.

The doctor continued to write then looked up at the two of them. "He is going to need a CT scan and a few others tests done, do you give me permission to do so?" he asked and Izuna nodded rapidly. "Please do everything you can to help him, he's an idiot... but he is my older brother and he is the only one I have left." Izuna said and Hinata linked her arm with his as the doctor nodded and began moving Madara out of the room and towards another part of the building.

They both of them dropped to the floor and lay against the wall, because they had no idea what to do with themselves. Her father showed up in the room about thirty minutes later, but he was not alone. Tsume, Tajima, and Aurora all accompanied him. "Izuna do you know anything?" his mother pleaded but he shook his head. "I was told that I brought him in early enough for them to stop some of the damage." He said and his mother breathed a relieved sigh.

"He hasn't woken up yet, but they took him to do some tests to see exactly what the problem is." Izuna said and they nodded. Tsume crouched beside Hinata and tapped her on the knee, seeing as she seemed to be out of it. "Hey, runt... Are you alright?" she asked and Hinata shook her head slowly. "Can you tell me what's the matter?" she asked and Hinata slipped her the phone with the last message from Madara opened.

"He... he said he was fine... and that I shouldn't worry... but now I'm back in this place and it isn't for me." she said and Tsume nodded. "I know, I think he was trying to console you, though." She sand and Hinata rubbed her thumbs together in her old habit. "He was never alright, he was just really tired and I wouldn't let him sleep... I really think he knew he was going to get worse... but I don't think he wanted to tell either of us." Izuna said and she frowned.

"How about we go get something to eat and drink; seeing as it is now three in the morning." Tsume said and offered Hinata a hand. The both made their way down the hallway and into the cafeteria. "Do you remember how I lost my husband?" she asked and Hinata shook her head. "I didn't think you would..." Tsume said as they grabbed cups for their coffee. "He had a brain aneurism. They had been trying to find its exact location, but only when they did, they bumped it and it burst. They couldn't contain the bleed because the vessel was so weak elsewhere and ruptured there as well." Tsume said as she poured coffee into her cup. "There are tragedies all around us dear, some we can help, and some we cannot. I am desperately hoping that, like yours, Madara's can be helped." Tsume said and Hinata watched her as she added a large amount of sugar into her coffee.

"That man cares deeply for you, I don't want you to live life thinking about what could have been or even what should have been. I want you to go through life with him, seeing how it will be, not how it was." Tsume said and Hinata offered a small smile. "If I know it will help him I will do whatever it takes." Hinata said softly and Tsume smiled. "I know you will, I can see it in your eyes." she said and Hinata nodded.

"I never understood, why me, why he had chosen me to treat this way... but all I can comprehend now is that he has liked me this entire time, and yet the only way he thought he could show it was by being rude, disrespectful, and by being a bully." Hinata said and her eyes dropped from the coffee machine before her. "While I was in my comatose state... I forgot about everything before then." Hinata said and Tsume listened intently.

"There were some things said and I never understood them. I honestly hated Madara at first." Hinata said and Tsume looked at her in confusion. "In the coma, the version of him I met was self-centered, egotistical, and just an all-out jerk. I think... now... that I was hearing what others thought of him and not actually what he was saying to me." Hinata said and clutched her cup tightly. "I know, I had no way of knowing if that was how he really was, or of what everyone was saying about him while in that state. Now I know the difference. Those were rumors, and this was the real him." Hinata said and set her cup down on the cabinet.

"No one will ever love you like I do." Hinata said and Tsume glanced at her still confused. "In my comatose state, he said this to me, but I didn't like the way he had said it. I thought he was being demeaning, but he wasn't. He was just stating that, no matter how much someone loves me, they could say they loved me more than anyone else... he was saying that no matter how much they loved me, he would always find a way to love me more. I had no idea and I think other than his blatant rudeness, which is maybe why I absolutely hated him." She said and Tsume nodded.

"I understand that. Things can be misleading within your mind and can make you jump to conclusions, but it is always best to wait and see, like you did." Tsume said as she made Hinata's father a coffee, and Tajima and Aurora some as well. Hinata made Izuna a coffee and grabbed him something to eat. They made their way back up to Madara's room, only to see that it was still empty, but a nurse was in there talking to Izuna, Tajima, and Aurora.

"Hinata... Madara's insurance declined him... he cannot afford the costs of the surgery he needs." Hiashi whispered and Hinata dropped her coffee and Izuna's. "B-but... You can't just let him die... he came here in an ambulance! You can't turn him away! You have to stabilize him! You have to help him!" Hinata managed, her voice frantic. "You need to help him." She stammered, clutching the doorway to keep herself standing.. "Please... I... I can't lose him..." She whispered as she hit her knees. The doctor watched her with sympathetic eyes, but said nothing for a moment. "I'm afraid... we have stabilized him." he said and handed Madara's parents a packet for them to look through and sign. "Potential options..." he said softly before making his way out of the room.

He turned to the side and slipped past Hinata, who stared at him in shock. Madara's parents had obviously been crying, but they no longer could form words. About an hour later, they rolled Madara back in, but they had shaved off half of his hair. They had done so to expose the wound. "There is a surgery we could do which his insurance will cover, but it will not guarantee he will wake..." The nurse said and Hinata looked up at her.

"Really?" she asked and Madara's parents waited for the nurse to speak. "He has a severe swelling of the brain, and there is an internal bleed in his brain, right now, what we are going to do is possibly drill a hole to release the pressure to completely stabilize him for the time being until other options have been decided upon." the nurse said and Hinata nodded. Her lavender eyes darted over to the three Uchiha in the room who could say yes or no to her pleas.

"Hinata.. " Her father began but Izuna crouched before her. "Madara said that if anything happens, he wants you to take control and tell them what they needed to do. I did think much of it... but apparently he had already put your name on his care information, as well as ours, so we can't do anything you don't want us to do." He said and she jolted to her feet. "Please, do the surgery, please save him." Hinata pleaded and the nurse nodded, not quite understanding the full situation.

Hinata looked over at the unconscious Madara and her heart began to ache, he trusted her with his life... the nurses began calling in orders to prep an operating room, and for the interns to gather the supplies needed. They once again rolled Madara out of the room and Hinata shut herself in the bathroom. Hiashi was at the door, trying to talk her out of the bathroom, but she wouldn't come out. "Please, Hinata?" her father asked, hearing a particularly loud sob. "This is in no way your fault, dear... my son is an idiot." Aurora said, but Hinata could hear the tears in her voice. "I don't want him to be angry with me for any decisions I make for him. What if I mess up in telling them they should do something and he ends up hurt worse?" Hinata asked and Aurora sat by the door.

"Dear, I am going to tell you right now..." she began and Hinata's sniffles were the only thing that could be heard from the other side of the door. "Madara could never be angry with you... except for one circumstance." She said and they all heard Hinata tense up on the other side of the door. "The only way my son could ever be mad at you... is if you gave up on him. So... never give up... do everything you can for him, even if everything is not enough... he would never be angry with you unless you gave up on him, because he never gave up on you... he never once thought for a second that you wouldn't pull out of the coma." Aurora said Hinata released a pained laugh.

"He's going to lose all his hair, Izuna..." she managed from behind the door and Izuna released a snort. "He is really going to hate that..." Izuna said as he wiped his eyes. "He was always going on and on about how much he thought he looked like a total bad ass with long hair." Izuna said with a sniffle and Hinata released a giggle. "Maybe we should all go get haircuts so that when he wakes up after this surgery he will stare at us all like what the hell did you do? And then we point out his lack of hair and see if he panics." Izuna joked and Hinata laughed lightly. "I think he would." She said as she cracked the door. "Is that going to be where you're hiding? Because if it is, we need to know so if we lose you we can bust down the door and surgically remove you from the room." Her father said and Tsume released a snort.

At about five in the morning the next day, Hashirama, Mito, and Tobirama slid into the room, only to see it was still empty; except for Hinata who was curled up in the hospital chair in the corner. Her drowsy eyes flickered up to focus on them and they looked around the room in curiosity. "Is he still in surgery?" Hashirama asked and she nodded sleepily. "How long have you been here?" Mito asked and Hinata looked at the clock. "Since one yesterday morning." She said as she sat up in the chair and faced them. They frowned at her and offered her one of the sodas they had and she took it gratefully.

"Who told you he was here?" she asked softly and they frowned. "Obito. He called and said it was an emergency." Mito said and Hinata nodded. "How is Samui holding up?" she asked and Hashirama shook his head. "I have no idea." He said and she nodded. She slipped out her phone and dialed Samui's number. She picked up and Hinata began explaining what was wrong. There was a lot of nodding and Hinata trying to console the other woman, but you could hear how frantic she was. 'what happened?' Samui had asked and Hinata fell into explaining that as well. 'I'm coming up there!' Samui said and hung up on Hinata before she could tell her not to.

"You don't need to be in this hospital like this again Hinata..." Hashirama said and Hinata stared him down. "You will not get me to leave. I will not abandon him. I'm not leaving until he comes back to this room and tells me he is alright." She said and Hashirama watched her for a moment in surprise but soon offered a soft smile and nodded. "Alright, you win. But if he doesn't wake up right away I'm not letting you stay in here for a solid day." He said and she nodded. She was still sitting there when he came back an hour later, with no word from the nurses about Madara.

Deidara, Sasori, Kisame, Obito, Pein, Konan, and Itachi were all crowded in the room now, all sitting in random places around the room. They were just sitting there. "This is all my fault... I'm sorry Hinata." Obito said and Hinata looked him dead in the eyes and shook her head at him. "No. This was not you, although you did toss the idea into the air... you personally did not force him to do it." she said and he blinked at her, then looked back to the doorway. There was the sound of wheels rolling down the hallway and nurses talking, and this made Hinata jump to her feet.

They pushed Madara's bed back into the room and Hinata's breath hitched. "How is he?" she asked and they shook their heads. "He is stabilized for now, but what was taking so long is that the cerebrospinal fluids were still flooding into his cranial cavity and creating pressure. We got the CSF handled, but we still have other things to deal with. He has a deep rupture in his frontal lobe from where his brain reverberated against his skull, but his insurance will not cover the surgery. I'm sorry. We also do not have a surgeon qualified for the correction of the bleed in the building. She is a town away at another hospital." the head nurse said and Hinata's strength left her body. "So... you're just giving up on him?" she whispered and they exchanged looks.

"This hospital cannot afford any pro bono surgeries anymore... we've run up our budget... and can no longer afford it. and his insurance blatantly refused to cover this, because this isn't the first near death experience he has had, and it surely isn't his first serious concussion." The nurse said and turned to hook Madara up to his I.v. and she stopped when she heard Hinata sobbing heavily behind her. "Please, miss... forgive me... but at this moment there's nothing else I can do." She said and Hinata curled up in the floor of the bathroom and locked the door. Once again she was locked away from the world outside.

Her father was knocking on the door before she knew it. "Hinata, dear you need to come out. you can't hide away in there... you should be spending time with him, whatever time you have left." He said and she sobbed loudly. "It's not fair!" she sobbed and he sighed as he sat against the other side of the door. "I know dear... I know trust me. This is in no way fair to you or him... think about yesterday...." He said and she sobbed softly into her sleeve. "Didn't you all have so much fun?" he asked and he could hear her nod from the other side. "Think about your future with him. Think about how you're never going to give up on him. Think about the beautiful children you will make once you're married. Think about your beautiful family." Her father said and she stopped sobbing to listen to him.

"Think about those things, and you will never give up on him. You can't afford to give up on him." Hiashi said and she made a noise of affirmation from the other side. "I need you to go with Izuna and Hashirama and discuss some things. They have a lot to tell you about and I don't want you to freak out and get angry at Madara for it, he was trying to keep you happy, I just want you to remember that." Her father said and she cracked open the door with a nod. Izuna and Hashirama were in the room with her and she grabbed Hashirama's hand to pull herself to her feet.

"I know just where to go so we can talk..." Izuna said and she nodded. The hospital had a patient's park, which was really a garden with walkways and a child's play place which made it all look more family friendly. They sat down on a bench and the two guys were sitting in the same position. Both had their hands folded together with their elbows on their knees. "Hinata... I need you to be completely calm and not to pull a Sakura or a Mito about this news, alright?" Hashirama asked and she nodded. "Alright... so let's start from the beginning..." Hashirama sighed and Izuna released a similar sigh. "We went through Madara's billing records and found some surprising information." Izuna said and she looked at him curiously.

"Every day, of every year, that you were in the coma... he paid fifty dollars a day for a special bouquet of flowers to be delivered to your room." Izuna said and Hinata stared at him in surprise. "Then there was the gamer box. That was about seven to eight hundred dollars in total, including all the games and downloadable content he bought for you." Hashirama said and she stared at him in a horrified shock. "He was continually buying you things, and when he was buying things for you... he was neglecting bills he needed to pay to keep things he really needed." Izuna said and Hashirama nodded solemnly. "You haven't seen Madara driving his own car around have you?" Hashirama asked and she shook her head.

"He said it was in the shop..." she said and Izuna shook his head. "They repossessed his car... he lost his apartment... and had been sleeping in either his car, or on my couch..." Izuna said and Hinata bit her lip as she let her hands collapse onto her lap. "I had no idea..." she whispered and they nodded. "That was the point, he wanted you to be Happy, but without knowing exactly what he was sacrificing for you. Which brings us to the main issue that brought about this conversation..." Hashirama sighed and looked to Izuna who frowned. "He neglected to pay his insurance bill one too many times and they just dropped him. He has nothing in his bank because he was trying to pay off his debt as well as keep you happy, this is in no way your fault, but more so his in his lack of record keeping skills." Izuna said and she stared at him for a minute, trying to wrap her head around everything the two of them were saying.

"So you're telling me... he's flat broke?" she began, stopping only to look up at them. "And he was neglecting to pay bills for both me, and to pay off some debts?" she asked and they nodded. "A-alright... I'm going to do everything I can to help him... and then I will work on getting his finances in order. I can't let him struggle alone." She said and they smiled at her softly. "You're a good woman, Hinata. Don't let the stress break you down. This is going to be a very hard time... because... I saw how hard it was on Madara seeing you in the hospital. but... you will both pull through this. I promise." Hashirama said and Izuna nodded.

"I've got Samui back at the shop to sell what she knows how to make, I think at some point my father will join her, but I'm not actually sure if he is going to or not." Izuna said and Hinata nodded. "I will help too when I get the chance." She said and Izuna nodded at her. "Well let's get back and go check on Madara, alright?" Hashirama asked and Hinata nodded as she rushed to catch up with him. They made their way to the Neurology floor, and as soon as they got up there, the nurses were scrambling around Madara's room. Hinata ran over to the room, only to stare horrified at what she saw. The nurses were surrounding Madara, a shrill steady beep echoing through the air. She ran over and they tried to keep her out, but she could only stare horrified at the fact Madara had flat lined.

When they got him stabilized she shoved past them and ran right to Madara. "There is nothing else we can do... the swelling is becoming too much for him... we just brought him back in from another scan... there's very little brain activity... you should probably begin to say goodbye." The doctor said solemnly and a hurt look crossed her face. "But I can pay for his treatments... please..." she whispered and he frowned. "I'm afraid there's really no chance. I'm sorry." He said and Hinata looked from Madara then back to the doctor. Tears filled her eyes and she curled up next to Madara in his hospital bed. "I'm so sorry Madara..." she whispered as she ran her fingers over his cheeks. "I'm going to go contact his family..." the doctor said and Hinata placed her forehead against his cheek.

"I'm not giving up on you..." she said as she rolled over, slid off the bed and took off running down the hallway. She knew exactly who she was going to go get. Her father had dropped off her keys and she was going to take her car. She ran into the parking garage and clicked the keys, only for her headlights to flicker. She slipped into the car, took a deep breath and started the car. "You can do this... you have to do this... for him!" she said and pulled out of the parking spot. She breathed out and pulled out of the parking garage. She then sped off out of the hospital parking lot and off towards the interstate. She knew exactly where to go, but no one else knew where she had rushed off to.

"Hinata?" Hiashi asked as he knocked on the bathroom door. "She's no longer in the hospital..." one of the nurses said and he looked over at her. "Miss Lily..." he greeted and she nodded. "Yes... hello Mr. Hyuuga..." she greeted and he watched her with a frown. "Where is she?" he asked and she smiled sadly. "I think I have an idea, but I'm not sure." She said and he frowned deeper. "She drove towards the town over. Tanzaku town. I think she's going to attempt to talk our neuro surgeon into coming back. What the doctor is not going to tell you, is that they had a falling out and now he's in deep because she left." Lily said and he nodded.

"So what are the chances of her coming back?" he asked and she shook her head. "Very unlikely... I'm sorry. She wants nothing to do with this hospital any longer. I wish she would because this young man needs her help desperately. The doctors have already said that you should all begin saying goodbye." She said and Hiashi shook his head no. "Hinata has already said that she will not be saying goodbye, she refuses to give up on him because he never gave up on her. Tragic really..." Hiashi said and the nurse smiled. "Lovely, I just hope they will both make it through this." She said, but the same shrill beep filled her ears.

"Help! I need more nurses in here!" she yelled and nurses began flooding into the room, shoving him out. Tajima and Aurora ran to the doorway, to see them stabilize Madara once more. "Where's Hinata?" they asked and he looked up to them. "She's in Tanzaku town." They stared at him in shock. "What is she doing there! she should be here with him!" Aurora snapped and Tajima grabbed her. "She should be here with him..." Aurora sobbed and Hiashi nodded. "Yes, she should be here... unless she thinks she knows of a way to save him still..." Hiashi said and Tajima nodded. "She's going after Tsunade. Isn't she?" Tajima asked and Hiashi nodded.

Tsume ran down the hallway, breathing heavily. She skidded to a stop in front of the three of them. "I... I just checked on the bank account that I had set up for Hinata.... And it's empty... completely empty. Where on earth is she going?" Tsume managed between breaths. Hiashi looked back to Madara and smiled sadly. "She's going to do absolutely everything in her power to save him." Hiashi said and they all looked towards Madara, who they were taking out of the room to do yet another scan of his brain.

"When he comes back, I think you need to begin saying your goodbyes... he's not going to last much longer. I'm very sorry." The nurse said and they nodded.

Hinata rapped her knuckles against the door of the neurology office in the hospital. "Please, please hear me out..." she called and a dark haired woman cracked the door open. "I really need you to hear me out." Hinata said and the dark haired woman watched her carefully. "What is it?" she asked politely and Hinata held out the picture of her and Madara from her graduation. "I need help... to save him. The doctors over at Konoha memorial have given up on him." Hinata said and she watched her. "Please... help him... he's dying..." Hinata whispered as she clutched the picture to her chest.

"What exactly happened?" Shizune asked and Hinata looked up at her hopefully. "We were at the beach and he slipped and busted his head open on a large rock. He went home after I checked him to see if he was ok... his slurring had ceased, same for his unfocused gaze... but his brother had been keeping him awake throughout that night... but his brother walked away for not even a minute and he fell out into the floor, only to begin convulsing." Hinata explained and Shizune nodded silently. "They have already relieved the pressure in his skull once before, but he keeps flat lining..." Hinata whispered, tears falling from her eyes. "I refuse to give up on him... which is why I came here... they said he may have a chance if-" Hinata said, but Tsunade opened the door.

"You said konoha memorial?" she said and Hinata nodded rapidly. "No." she said and turned to walk back into the room. Hinata stared at the woman's back for a moment before she clutched the picture to her chest tightly. "Please... I have enough money to cover his expenses and more... I need him... I can't let him down..." Hinata said and Tsunade watched her from her desk with an unamused look. "For years... I was in a coma.... Every night he was there talking to me, telling me how things were going. He waited for me to wake up... he left me fifty dollar flower bouquets in my hospital room every day for each of those years." Hinata sobbed.

"He blew all his money on me, allowed his car to get repossessed, and he lost his home, all because he wanted to keep me happy, but he lost all of these things while keeping it a secret from me! I can't let him go... I have to prove to him that no one will ever love him like I do!" Hinata sobbed as she grasped Shizune's sleeve loosely. "That's what he said to me... that no one will ever love me like he does... I never asked for anything he gave me... it's all sitting in my room untouched... I just wanted him... and I want him to know this... but everyone has given up on him... I can't let him down too..." she sobbed and Tsunade clicked her tongue in annoyance.

"How long have you known this kid anyways?" she snapped and Hinata looked up at her with trembling lips. "I have known him since we were children... I will die if you let him die... please..." Hinata pleaded and Tsunade sighed as she looked at Shizune. "Escort her out please." She said and Hinata stared at her in hurt shock. "B-but... please... please help him!" she pleaded, but Shizune took her by the hand and pulled her out of the hospital. "I'm sorry about her... she just needs a little bit of time to think it over. I will let you know if she decides to take his case, but if I don't get in contact with you within a day and a half... she's made her mind up." Shizune said and Hinata pulled out a wad of cash.

"Please... give this to her and beg for her assistance for me... he's dying... and they don't think he will make it another day. I need him..." Hinata said and handed Shizune the money, but Shizune handed it back to her and turned her towards her car. "Please. Go be with him. Money will not sway her. I promise you this... you most likely already have her swayed, so just go and be with him while you can." Shizune said and Hinata nodded, slipping into the driver's side of her car, but not before handing Shizune the picture of her and Madara. When she arrived back at the hospital things were not as busy as they had been when she had left.

She grabbed a coffee on the way up to Madara's room, but stopped outside of the doorway when she heard both her father and Neji talking to Madara. 'I suppose I owe everything I have to you... Madara..." Neji said and Hiashi made a noise of approval. 'I wish there was something they could do... I don't want you to be here in this hospital, until you die. You don't deserve this...' Neji said as he gripped the railing of the bed. 'You saved us... I can never repay you for this gift of life. Hinata still doesn't know... she has no idea...' he sighed and Hinata furrowed her brow in confusion. What didn't she know?

She was still confused over this when her father had answered the question himself. 'If you hadn't saved them from that crash... I would have had lost more than half of my family... I had already lost my wife, and my brother that night... but to have almost lost Neji and Hinata as well? I couldn't have survived. I owe every single thing in this world to you, because if you hadn't risked your life for them... neither of them would be here...' her father said and she stared at them in shock. "H-he... pulled us from the car?" she asked and they both jerked to face her, shock etched into every fiber of their beings.

"Hinata... we thought you were still gone..." Neji said and she shook her head. "Why did you never tell me?" she asked and Hiashi frowned. "He asked us not to say anything. He thought it may change the way you felt about him..." her father said and she gripped her drink tightly. "Of course..." she spat, tears falling from her eyes. "Of course... of course he wouldn't want me to know. Of course he would think it best to never tell me because he thought I hated him... that's why he said if it had been him that had been hit by the truck, that I would have never noticed." She spat through her tears.

"Hinata please don't be angry with him..." Neji said and she shook her head. "I'm not! I'm not mad at him. I'm just furious that he would think this world would have been better off without him." Hinata raged, surprising the Uchiha that had shown up in the doorway. "I'm angry because he thought his near sacrifice to save us would have meant too much to me and I would have loved him for all the wrong reasons! I'm furious that he didn't notice that he was the only reason I ever went to that stupid bakery in the first place! I'm furious that I never told him how beautiful I thought his eyes were..." she sobbed and her father stared at her in surprise.

"I'm furious that I ran from him. I'm furious that even with this hand full of cash Tsunade wouldn't come here to help him!" Hinata said as she threw the large wad of money onto the floor, where it slid across the room and went under the hospital chair. "I'm furious that I never told him that I had begged you and mother to go there, just because I had seen him through the window... I'm just so damn furious at myself that I waited to actually try and get to know him on my graduation night!" she spat angrily as tears streaked down her cheeks. "I'm so angry with myself because of the fact that when I had woken up from that damnable coma... I hated him... I hated HIM! How dare I?" she sobbed and Izuna wrapped his arms around her from behind and buried his forehead into her back.

"I'm so angry at myself... for not telling him how much I wanted to be his best friend on my graduation night...." She sobbed and Izuna clutched her tighter. "I'm so hurt that I did this to him... I made him worry... I made him waste his money because he thought material things would get me to like him... I'm... just.... So... tired of hurting him without meaning to..." she sobbed and Aurora hobbled out in front of her and placed her hand on Hinata's cheek. "I know how much you are hurting right now, but there's a woman here to see you... I need you to be strong for me alright?" Aurora asked, tears streaking down over her cheeks as she wiped away at Hinata's tears. "O-ok..." Hinata whispered and Izuna tightened his grip on her once more, before releasing her and allowing her to turn around.

"Hinata... dear... you don't need to plead for help any longer..." A familiar voice said and Hinata looked towards the doorway and her heart shattered once more, only for her to drop to her knees and begin to cry even louder. "We followed you here... Tsunade was reminded of her own incident of when she lost the one she loved because a doctor wouldn't help, or maybe they couldn't... but... she's here for you... she doesn't want you to hurt anymore." Shizune said and Hinata looked up at Tsunade, who had crouched in front of her. "I'm sorry I made you worry... I just wanted to see if he really meant that much to you... I don't usually do these types of things for this hospital... but today I will, because I respect your determination. I respect your heart..." Tsunade said as she stood and walked over to Madara.

"He's going to lose all his hair..." she said as she looked at the wound, and began palpating around to judge how bad the swelling was on his frontal lobe. "I have no idea what he will remember when he wakes... but I will be as careful as possible." Tsunade said as a nurse walked in, who dropped the towel she held in her hands. "Lady Tsunade!" she cheered, her eyes welling up into tears once the blonde smiled at her. "Are you-" she began but Tsunade cut her off. "I'm going to save this young man's life. No matter what, I will help him." Tsunade said and the nurse began nodding rapidly, only to run out and clear an operating room for her.

"Don't worry Hinata... I won't let you hurt anymore, your suffering ends here." Tsunade said as she set to pushing Madara past her out the door. Izuna clutched himself so tightly to Hinata, who's eyes were blank. "You did it Hinata..." Izuna sobbed into her shoulder, and she slowly wrapped her arms around him. Her senses slowly came back to her, beginning with the trembling of her lips. Then the tears began to fall once more, and she shoved her face into Izuna's shoulder and released a heart wrenching scream, one that forced her pain out of her body and into the surrounding air.

"I did it... I'm helping him." She sobbed and Izuna nodded into her hair. "You did it... thank you so much..." he sobbed and she smiled through her tears as she looked up at Shizune, who offered her the picture. "It really helped sway her... she's a sucker for young love." Shizune said softly and Hinata released a small laugh as she released Izuna to grab the picture and clutch it to her chest. "How long do you think the surgery will take?" Hinata asked and Shizune shook her head. "No more than twelve hours, but you should get some rest in case it does turn out to be on the longer side.
