Chapter 6: "I Have A Rabid Dog, Named Julian"

Lia's POV:-

"Your left tit, is bigger than your right tit," Julian notes.

"Just like your left ball is bigger than your right ball?" I retort, opening the fridge to get a soda.

"Shuddup. I'm serious here," Julian rolls his eyes.

"Well that maybe, because of this," I take out a bundle of notes from my bra, looking every bit like a classy hooker. One thing is storing few bills over your nipples, whole another thing to store a wad of cash. "Here's rent for this month." Julian puts the cash into his pocket.

"Still doesn't explain your, booby money," he points out.

"Oh, that's cause I was out running and dropped at the ATM on my way. And the damn machine gave me small bills, so I couldn't fit it all in my pocket."

"Well this ought to be one of your last rents, considering you got into Berkeley," he shrugs. I freeze in my chair.

"I got.. You said.. Hold on- What!" I snap.

"What?" he asks blankly.

"D-did.. Did you just say, I got into Berkeley?" my voice is getting hoarse.

"Maybe." Julian casually sips water.

"Julian, I'm two seconds away from peeing my pants," I warn. "Don't fucking kid me."

"Alright. You got into Berkeley," he admits smiling widely. "They sent your acceptance form today."

"Son of a bitch," I whisper astound. "They really took me in."

Julian digs into his pocket, "Here."

I blink. "What is this?" I hold the two pieces of paper in my hand.

"Stupid girl," Julian laughs. "Put your hands together silly." And he brings my hands closer, and the heading 'Acceptance Form' comes into view. "You're welcome," he grins and pokes my nose.

I put the letter, well, two pieces of paper down. "Julian, why do I have to put my hands together, to read the letter?" I ask as calmly, as I could. "Why can't I read it using one hand, like I usually do."

"It was how it came," he explains. "Perhaps these Berkeley people, have some new system- Alright, I tore it in excitement okay?!" he says flustered. "I'm sorry," he yells.

"You tore it?!" I growl. "Why the fuck would you even open it?"

"I was trying to surprise you," he says defensively. "And I knew how hard you worked for this college. I was scared, that you'll get a stroke just by seeing a letter, with 'Berkeley' on it. So I was just trying to ease some anxiety."

"In the worst possible way!" I shout. Julian quietly sulks, while I put together the paper, and carefully drink in every word.

"I'll be damned," I laugh. "I'm actually going to become an architect."

"What else did you have in mind?" Julian mutters, meekly scratching the corner of the table.

"Well, I'll for sure be a murderer, if they reject this letter," I wave it in the air. "But otherwise, I would've pursed modeling."

"Congratulations," he grins happily.

"Don't fucking 'Congratulations' me," I snap. "Help me fix this letter."

Luke didn't at all seem surprised, when I told him. "It had to happen," was his response. But when the topic of moving in came up, he got all goofy and excited. I spent two hours, watching my laptop screen amused, as Luke jumped around in his room, explaining what all he'll shift and how we can use both the rooms.

Max gave a worse reaction, and started ranting off a huge list of all the details and specifications, he wanted in the future house, that obviously I'll be making for him. I felt faint when he started ticking off terms, that I haven't even heard off. But then he confessed, he had no idea what he was saying. He had googled all that shit, and he just wanted to freak me out. Then he said something like, "Yeah congratulations or whatever. Just build me my mansion with 50% discount."

That night we all did a video conference. I broke my big news to the rest of the guys. And instead of congratulating me, they sang "Happy honeymoon-ing  Luke", with matching smirks.

Since I'll be living with their child, I called Jane during dinner time, so I could tell her and Luther together. They said the formal congratulations. Then Jane added that, she's totally prepared and ready for grandchildren, but the final decision is ours. Luther scolded her for being inappropriate, while I laughed brightly.

Julian and I, aced our final exams. Not exactly aced, but we did a pretty decent job. And to commence our new life journey, we ordered pizza and horror movies.

"Why again, aren't we drinking?" Julian frowns at me.

"Because we are going tomorrow," I stuff hot pizza in my mouth, and burn my tongue.

"But Dylan's driving," Julian tries again. Luke wanted to come help me, but he had a sessional evaluation and I had to physically register myself into the college, day after tomorrow. So, Dylan had come up with the plan to drive me to Berkeley, and then take Julian to a road trip to cheer him up. I think Julian must have cried on the phone that I'm moving out, because Dylan was anxious to not leave him alone.

"No Julie, I don't want to move into a new place hungover," I lick sauce off my fingers. "Plus, you will get all teary and sniffy, over how we won't be roommates any more."

"Fine, but I am sad that things are changing so much. I don't think, I'll ever find a more easier roommate than you. You adjust without complains, you take care of me, you make things more fun. I'll really miss you," Julian kicks my legs pouting.

"Yeah, you too are a swell, etc, etc," I mutter with mouth full of cheese.

"Wow, you'll make me cry," Julian says monotonously. I give him a cheesy grin, and play the movie.

...............

"Hey darling," Luke greets me, as I step out.

"Right back at you, sugar plum. Now tell me, where's the bathroom?" Dylan grabs Luke's collar, before I could even go near him.

"Left side of the lobby," Luke answers startled, and Dylan dashes off.

"I better go and see if he needs anything," Julian mutters, before running away.

"Assholes," I mumble at them. A hand slips around my waist, and rests on my butt. I grin and turn to Luke. "Baby," I throw my arms around him, and hug him. Luke squeezes me back.

"Why do you smell like fresh candles?" I sniff Luke's collared t-shirt. It smelled mouth-watering mixed with his clean scent.

"Oh, today is Jae's anniversary. So, I went to the church," he shrugs. I mark the date on my mental calendar, and give him a sympathetic rub on the shoulders.

"I'm okay honey," Luke kisses my cheek. "How was your trip?"

"The worst. They both are so disgusting. Not romantically disgusting. But gross disgusting. And they are freaks. For two hours they talked about nothing, but how Khloé Kardashian's booty would jingle if she farted," I shiver.

Luke laughs, and as if he couldn't stop himself kisses me. Now, Luke is not the guy for PDA. So it was quite surprising, when he pushed me against the car, and licked every corner of my mouth. My knees actually weakened, and Luke had to hold me up.

"I'm going to really, really enjoy living with you," I pant. He gives me a crooked grin, and kisses me again. This time a little softer.

"Luke wait, till at least we are gone. Or wait, till you have a room," Dylan says over Luke's shoulder. We split apart, but Luke keeps one hand on my back.

Moving in was all hazy. Julian, Dylan and Luke were all set out to show their manliness. So they took all my stuff to the apartment, in one single trip. I didn't even have to bend down to pick a bag. Testosterone filled morons.

There were hugs, All-the-bests, some tears from Julian, some curses from my side for making me emotional. Dylan's dirty joke, about screwing on the highway. Julian's blush and giggle. Luke and I, wishing them both good luck and goodbyes. Then the door shuts, and we are alone. I stand and look at the apartment, I'll be living for the next five years.

"Welcome home, my love." Goosebumps line up arm, at Luke's husky whisper in my ear. I gulp and turn around. My tensed nerves calm down, at the familiar green eyes.

It's just Luke.

As if knowing that I'm freaking out on the inside, he wraps his hands around me. While I breathe him in, he soothingly rubs my back.

"Better now?" he asks over my head. I look up and give him my best smile. He returns a roguish grin, and picks me up, dropping me on the couch. "Hold on, I've got a surprise for you," Luke grins, biting his lip in excitement.

"Oh goody," I clap my hands. "Is it one of those underwears with a mouse's face on it?" I call at his back, as he disappears into his room. I remove my shoes and tie my hair so it doesn't interrupt. Yes, I like to be prepared.

I was checking my toenails when the door opens. Luke steps out as Aladdin. Six packs, solid and freshly cut, shine bright underneath the open embroidered jacket. He even wore those drop crotch type of pants, and Turkish slippers.

"May I give you a ride princess? Hop onto my throne," he kneels on one knee, in front of me. The sleazy reference was not lost on me. He's visibly trembling, from holding back a laugh at my stunned face.

"Oh my God! I absolutely hate you," I growl, and jump on him. We fall on the floor with a thud, Luke happily laughing in my hair. I had once drunk-dialed Luke and confessed to him, how Julian and I watched 'Aladdin', and how I found the lead, Mena Massoud sexy as hell. I think, I also bitched about Naomi Scott being a lucky gal for getting to kiss the Aladdin.

"God, I hate that you look so adorable in this. You look so damn edible in this. I want you to wear it everyday," I run my hands along the golden stiches on the jacket. "And six packs? Six fucking packs Luke?"

"I had some time on my hands," he shrugs crossing his hands behind his head. I laugh delighted, and take closer inspection. Firm and lickable.

"This is insane," I grin. "I love my welcome home present. My favorite fantasy, six packs, and Luke Wright."

"To make you feel like home, I'll be welcoming you in every corner of this house," he sits up, his voice dropping into a whisper, making my insides clench deliciously. I lock my legs around his hips, pulling him closer.

Luke removes my shirt. I suck in my stomach as response. He frowns at my tense form. "What happened?"

Without letting go of the air, I squeak out, "Nothing."

Luke eyes wander down, and stop at my stomach. He looks at me amused. He tickles my waist making me squirm, and let go of the chubby belly.

"I have been stress eating, these past days," I confess grumpily. Luke laughs, and pokes the skin fascinated. It jiggles and he twinkles, "I love it. It's cute."

We decide my stuff can be unpacked tomorrow, and today we should just enjoy. And by enjoy meaning, roam around naked, watching the sunset and eating Chinese food naked, sinking into the bathtub together, and later falling asleep exhausted.

I wake up bright and early, not sunrise early, but before afternoon early. Luke is half falling out of bed. I get out and go to his side. Gently I roll him in. He stills, and wakes up a little.

"You're about to fall down," I rub his hair, sitting beside him. He yawns in the back of his hand and mumbles, "I'm used to sleeping, on the other side of the bed."

"You should have said so last night," I frown. "I don't have a side," I cup his cheek.

"You were sound asleep, and I didn't wanna wake you," he kisses my palm, and buries his face into a pillow. Within seconds he's snoring again. I kiss his hair, and go to the bathroom.

While brushing my teeth, I look at my reflection. Crazy hair, swollen lips, bright sparkling eyes, yet an obnoxiously, proud, toothpaste frothing grin. Today, I'll be visiting my college for the first time.

I'm going to make things happen for me, I nod at my lunatic reflection.

............................

The office lady looks at me in doubt, contemplating if she should call security.

"What is this?" she holds up the cello-taped letter in the air.

"Oh, funny story," I laugh. "I have a rabid dog, named Julian. Really disgusting creature, but I love that mongrel to pieces. He has a habit of mauling the mail. So, while I was rescuing my letter from-"

"Alright, alright," she interrupts bored, making my dramatic portrayal, with me bend half in attack position, fists in front of my face, stop abruptly. I stand back straight modestly.

"Will that be all mam?" I ask like a true lady.

"Yeah, here sign this," she taps on a form, with her bright pink nail. "And here's your schedule and college map. Further updates will be mailed to you. Your classes begin tomorrow."

"Thank you so much," I say brightly. She yawns, and spins around on her chair. But nothing could spoil my bright mood. Using both my hands, I give the bird to her back, and hop out of the office.

..........................................

There you go. Lia is in college. Were there anything else, you guys were expecting? Tell me, and I'll try to add it.
